  1. I saw MJCA live and saw film of RBS. Based on those two things, I think that MJCA wins, and it won't be as close as last year. MJCA plays sound football for what they have. #6 is a decent player that will run hard and #3 is an above average quarterback. Injuries could be a factor because MJCA has no depth, but in th end they are more organized. MJCA 22 RBS 12
  2. I was looking at the difference a couple years of Nick Saban meant to Alabama and began thinking...Are their HS teams out there that would be better with a little change? Perhaps a different offense or new coaching staff for a breath of fresh air? Immediatley a few teams come to mind 1. Pickett County might consider waiting a few more years for a football program. 2. RBS needs a staff from outside of Macon County, perhaps out of the state (or just out of their mind) 3. MJCA could probably use a fresh staff with some new ideas and recruiting efforts. 4. David Brainard Christian might think about changing out of the spread, they are still a little thin in numbers for that offense. Any thoughts, suggestions or ideas????
  3. For the last two years, LCA has beaten SCA by with a combined score of 40-8. SCA will have the distinction of being the first game and the first win of the very young LCA program. It seems that SCA has made some coaching changes and have taken a few steps back this year, whereas LCA has really been on track and stand at 6-0. LCA has yet to even be challanged with the exception of Faith Covenent. I am seeing an easy win here for Coach Green and the boys from LCA. Knights improve to 7-0 LCA 44 SCA 6
  4. finally, someone else says what I have been saying for two weeks on coach t. RBS should beat MJCA based on talent level but they won't because they DO NOT WORK IN PRACTICE! Every time I say that RBS does it all wrong, a ton of RBS sympathisers get on here and tell me that I wouldn't want to be in RBS' shoes. Get a real coach that wants to do it, with a real plan, and RBS would win 3-4 games a year. They should beat MJCA everytime they play them. MJCA 28 RBS 12
  5. Teams were eager to schedule LCA in year one. They were and still are the smallest enrollment team to play 11 on 11. I really think that people are underestimating LCA this year. I would venture to say that they would be competitive with most teams in their region. Its not like they took an already great team and scheduled a bunch of bad teams. They took a bunch of private school kids that NEVER played football before, and beat teams with larger schools. It is an accomplishment to be LCA and stand at 6-0. It will not be a long long day. LCA will get the athletes from Rutherford County and be very competitive. That is IF the coach remains. He will probably get offers to go elsewhere. I could see him at an MJCA or Providence. If he goes to MJCA, look out.
  6. I am expecting a text at 7:03 to give me a score update.
  7. Well its gameday. I heard that RBS was wearing their black jerseys because LCA was going to a funeral. Can RBS play like Oregon State and pull a huge upset......after JWG threw me under the bus, karma is with the Dawgs. You don't bad mouth a one legged son of a tin miner. RBS 6 LCA 3 In quadruple overtime
  8. Its all true except the "Coach C"" part.
  9. Where is the bus that I just got thrown under???? that's better
  10. The funny thing is that RBS does something different every week and it is rarely good. In one game on film RBS lined up in four totally different offenses, not different formations, different offenses! And you wonder how they are not fundamentally sound??? It is not trickery to line up in the wishbone and then throw deep to poorly coached receivers, its just bad football. Trickery is when tendencies are exploited, RBS' only tendendecy is that they tend to be horrible (and its often exploited).
  11. There is no doubt that Trousdale has had some very talented teams in the past as well as this year. I will have to disagree with you on this item. LCA runs the double wign offense for a reason. It is an offense that relies on controlling the clock and keeping offenses of the field, getting 3 or 4 yards at a time. With bad teams it is an equalizer, with a talented team it is an explosive offense. 91 points means that Trousdale scored a little more than two points per minute. One double wing series will last, even on three and out, at least about two minutes. They don't turn the ball over very much because they don't really pass and it keeps the clock running. There is no doubt Trousdale would have handedly beat LCA and still would, but it would not be by 91 points.
  12. I can promise that Trousdale would not hang 90 on LCA. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
  13. Thank you for your insight. How was Friendship Christian doing in their first couple of seasons? There is nothing wrong for being proud of your team and trying to establish a name for your school. Most of the teams that LCA plays are bigger and much more established. LCA probably will take a few lumps their first couple of years but if their coach stays I will guarantee that they will be beating FCS, Trousdale and other teams in that region. Yes, I said beating those teams. Never underestimate a winner, surround yourself with them. LCA made a schedule based on their enrollment and felt that they may lose a lot of those games but they didn't. They beat teams like a good team should. If I were in a region with LCA, I would start to get nervous because they will get better with time they will go from being competitive, to beating you. LCA opened 8 years ago with 7 kids. They just opened a multi-million dollar gym and their k-12 enrollment is creeping towards 500. They sit in the heart of Smyrna, last I checked Smyrna won the state championship twice in a row. When did FCS win state??? They are growing by leaps and bounds each year so perhaps it is you who should be careful before your team is humbled by the underdog Knights.
  14. This whole post is getting crazy. Here are teh facts... 1. RBS has not won a game on the field in 60 attempts. 2. RBS has not won a game this year. 3. LCA is 10-5 in its first one and a half years of existence. 4. LCA has handedly beat teams that beat RBS. I would take it personal if a team scheduled me for homecoming, you can't blame LCA for that. For the sake of argument and to play devil's advocate; I have been to four RBS games in my lifetime, all as a coach. I have yet to see a real decent amount of heart and guts. What I have coached against is a non-sensical offense and some poorly coached kids. Hooting and hollering does not mean you have heart. Having heart is making a block when you are out of energy or breaking a run when your legs are cramped up, or playing with injuries. Last year, LCA's quarterback hurt his knee against Saint Andrews, when LCA began to lose, he demanded to be put back in, limped around for a couple of plays and then was taken out. It turned out that he tore ligaments in his knee. He didn't complain or say a word, he just wanted to win. That is heart, not a bunch of kids that have lost a ton of games getting sympathy from all the coach t posters. It's good to see RBS excited, that is the first step, but they are still pretty bad and maybe should hold off until they get that elusive win. I hope that the players from both sides play a clean game, ignore the posts, and do show heart. LCA is too strong this year for it to be close.
  15. Well I hope that you are right. I can tell you honestly though that when a team that has not won a game in forever picks you as their homecoming, it sends a message. LCA is much improved over last year's team, espiecally on the offensive line. Thanks for the tackling advice, but I would work on pass coverage as well. I revise my pick RBS 0 LCA 48
  16. Just wanted to tell BD MOM to keep supporting those kids. Football is just a game but support from parents during tough times is so important. Way to go MOM!!!
  17. If a team is struggling to stop the run, its not good news to play LCA. LCA has shown that they can open up and pass this year, something that was not yet installed last year. LCA has posted huge rushing numbers this year, with most coming in the first 3 quarters as 3 of their games saw backups get action in all of the 4th quarter. LCA aso comes in very healthy, something that they were not at the last half of the year last year. I wish both teams the best of luck but I see LCA cruising to an easy win here to go 6-0.
  18. You're right, it isn't last year's team. Last year RBS was better. Clay County just hung 66 on RBS, I thought it was a Basketball score at first. Shoot, lost my crystal ball, need a magic 8-ball. There it is....Will RBS beat LCA....My signs say HECK NO. ITS A NEW DAY BUT THE SAME RBS IN DAWG COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I would hope that it would be somewhat competitive like last year's game, however I do not think it will be. LCA has shown some versatility and even opened up wide last night against Riverside Christian. RBS cannot simply put 11 players on the line of scrimmage like last year and play the run. LCA has implmented a passing game and showcases a 6'7 tightend that brings mismatches. Coach Green is very classy so I don't see a huge blowout, he will get to thirty or so then just run the clock. It will be very difficult for RBS to defend against such a powerful running game mixed with just enough passing. RBS should have plenty of material to post on their board but I don't think its going to help this year, LCA cruises to 6-0. LCA 48 RBS 3
  20. Really, how do you see it? I never called an individual kid a loser. There is a difference in saying someone will lose and then calling them a loser. By your post, you sound highly educated "and such". I am worried about "my own", and will defend them "and such". There is a difference between working and working hard. You probably worked on your spelling and grammar in school whereas I worked hard. I can go to practice and half pay attention and go through the motions or I can practice hard. There is a distinct diffrence. Clowns like you think you got it all figured out and you call it how you see it. But guess what???? How you see it is wrong. I am sure that plenty of young, talented coaches would like nothing better than to go to RBS to try and turn it around. Excuses only satisfy those who make them. You can always look at what you do not have and come up with a way to lose 60+ games, but in the end it is the result that matters, not the excuse. If money and facilities is what you need to win, then Williamson County should win State every year. Just calling it how I see it.
