I have seen alot of GHS fans complaining about the play calling and you have good receivers so it must mean he don't have alot of faith in the QB to pull it off. Surely he would have passed agianst EHS more last week if he thought the QB could get it done. Most of your scoring has been on the ground and handing somebody the ball ain't that hard! I don't take away from the Devils D, I know they are good and bigger than ours and if the Devils win tonight it will be because of them. Tell Church to come on down, he might be the one doing flips!

1standgoal GHS dont think its in the books... the just some fans... but i also know some sg fans that said sg is gonna get beat.. That may be the case, but the fans won't be the ones on the field tonight. The Rebs will be and they know they aren't expected to win. They want to overcome the odds and prove the doubters wrong. The team expects no less than 150% from every player from the field to the sideline. I expect a good game tonight, the boys are pumped.

South Greene is also very tight as a team with just as much heart, determination and desire to win as your team. Don't think they won't be giving their all tonight. We are glad GHS thinks this one is already in the books.

That might be what they tell you but see who they will be pulling for tomorrow night. By the way, do you think your team is the only one who can play the game? I don't think you have accepted the fact that you're not last year's team, they were very good, and yes they would have beaten us. This year's team, TBA.

I have heard plenty of GHS alumni (lots have been former G football players) say the hope the Rebels beat you to death, because it's not the same school they went to. Now it's just talk of how much nicer your toys are than the county schools. Just think, by not winning tomorrow nights game you will get to go down in GHS history as only the 2nd team in GHS history to get beaten by the Rebs. You would be more famous than you ever dreamed of.

You must be listening to talk in GHS halls and cafeteria because everybody else in Greene county is pulling for the Rebels, at least for tomorrow night. If SG is so below your level and you happen to lose, I guess you will have to DEAL-WIT-IT.....

We played Daniel Boone for several years and the last two years we went to the Border Bash in NC and played Tuscola (former 3A NC state champs and 12 time conf. champs went to the 3rd round play-offs last year 11-2) and Pisgah 2A (went to the 3rd round play-offs last year 9-4). So yes we have met up with some very good teams.

Hoping that was all a bunch of junk. Just concerned about our boys. Looking forward to the game and hoping it's a good one.

I'm just hoping for a clean fairly called (well, atleast not one-sided) game. There has been talk of "taking out" some of SG's key players. Hope that's not true. If it does it will reveal alot about your team's character. Not saying it's true and I know it's football, talking crap is part of it, but win it right if you win, because if you don't it will show you are cowards. There will be a huge crowd on hand that will be watching, sure wouldn't want that to be the case.

The point about line was, they have done a good job so far, even if was against opponents you don't consider worthy. Hoping they keep it up this week as well. The point about CC was you count them out just because they have been down. Could be a flip flop in a few years, you never know. GHS hasn't been beaten by Betsy since 2004, until last week. So the big point is never underestimate your opponent.

So if you win Friday night what will you have to brag about by beating a pitiful little team that doesn't play any real competition. If you will read the article on the NG game stats were not padded at all. Most of our playmakers had the lowest numbers they have had all year and never touched the field in the second half. They were not even playing as hard as they normally do. What were they supposed to do sit down on the field. I agree NG is a game we need to drop, it doesn't do either team any good, it does get our young boys out there, that's all. We don't make the schedule though. Oh yeah, I watched Cocke County badly beat a very good Greeneville team back in the 90's, and yes it could happen again.

South Greene has scored 198 points this season, the line must be doing something right. I know the Devils have a better D than we have seen this year but I also know how bad this team wants to win. They also are not coming in assuming they will win. They know they are gonna have to work hard if they want it to happen.

Shutdown 4 and 44 thats their whole offense. If you can do that I don't think you will have a problem getting the win.

Jones is this your view from the sideline or the bleachers? Point is our D could be better but so could your O, kinda evens it out a little. As long as the game is played and called fair I think it will be a good one to watch. But you got it in the bag, right. Oh yeah, don't worry about our QB, he can take a hit and give one too!

We are looking forward to coming out there this week. It's exciting to renew an old rivaly and there has been so much hype about the county schools playing Greeneville this year. Especially since this will be the first time ever West Greene will be playing Greeneville. I expect a huge fan turnout for both teams this week. I remember when they used to play South Greene and Chuckey Doak, it would be standing room only. I figure since this will be the first meeting between the Rebels and Devils in several years it will be a packed house. I can't imagine what the WG game will be, the Rebel fans have no seating when we play there, even in the rain. West Greene don't have much seating on their home side. We are looking forward to Friday night, see you out there. GO REBELS!
