It's a great thing! The deeper the pitching gos the better for SH(or any team). Good Luck to the Raiders this year.

I don't think thats their #1.2 or 3? Not bad for a second game. Isn't Woody the CATCHER?

  8. Look At "Perfect Game" They are pretty good at letting you know where your son stands.

It really should be an iteresting season. I have now seen Spring Hill on the field. Not too bad. I will put them right at the top of the district this year along with Page. Look forward to seening HC practice.

Very hard to hit now! Every time I saw him, kids were having a difficult time with him. According to the high school page he will be the number two. No real changes offensivly except at short (due to passing of player) A sophmore will have to step in. They will need Branham and Walton to finish games.

Looks like they faced some great pitching! Now that you have established that, I go back to the original "good bats" comment. What were their averages?

I'm glad they hit Seth. What were their averages last year?
  13. I like Spring Hills Tyler Bigler. Only a Junior but a top player. The combo in the middle at SH has been playing together a long time.

"good bats" Will they see good pitching this year or will they be facing #3 or #4 arms? Who did they face last year?
  15. Loveless deserves plenty of attention. If the stats are accurate in this thread, than he clearly deserves considerstion. No matter what your opinion is he is a great kid and an outstanding student! That gos pretty far at the next level. I would bet he plays at the next level and more importantly he will make good use of his (paid for) education!

Webb should be good at page. Gross (jr) at page can be good when not hurt. Don't know whats left at MC of Spring Hill or Giles.
  17. Coach Young is a good coach. He works hard to prepare his team. Parents don't have a say. If they did everyone would start, nobody would be held accountable for poor execution and we would not need coaches. If parents are concerned about building kids up they should let their kids go play rec sports where their is plenty of orange slices and juice boxes to go around. These kids work all year with coach young without yelling and screaming. You only see one moment in time that you judge him. Players know his intentions. They can rise to the occasion or shut down. Hopfully they rise to the occasion. I want a coach that has passion. Spring Hill Athletics are moving in a great direction and coach youngs passion for winning is a big part of that success. GO RAIDERS!
  18. Your talking about baseball basketball and soccer. If i'm not mistaken all three of those sports had a pretty succesful seasons. What about all the kids walking around the halls that could be playing but are not. If its grades, put them on the team and get them some help! instead of writing them off. If its desire, create a program that puts your positive players around those potential player. Teach them how to influence people. Isnt that a life skill? Elimination of 4th block athletics has hurt the multi sport athlete. Some kids were forced to choose one sport as a result! Coaches have passion for their sport, as they should. If they are commited to helping their players be successful and think they have the ability to move to the next level. They should help them accomplish that. Even if it means focusing on one sport. How many FB players moved to the next level this past year? Where is the opportunity? If your playing for fun or memories than great have a ball. (like playing little league, everyone gets to play and have fun). players that want to keep moving to the next level need to work at that sport. It's easy to complain about what other coaches are doing or not doing. Have they just built a better culture of success? Perhaps coach s should reach out to them for help. Not for players but for information on how to improve our football culture. Unfortunatly FB is not the top program at the school right now. That has to change.
  19. You are right. #4 is the only idea you have no solution for. Its the most difficult to understand. Not the multi player comment but the culture. It's hard to get people excited about participating in a losing culture. I think your new AD will make some changes that get people in the school and community involved in athletics. people need to see positive change. New goal posts, Weightroom, freshman football All nice additions! How do you get people to attend the games? Pee Wee football at half time was a great start. Thats the new AD. Coaching is light years better this year than anything we have ever had (all sports). opportunities to improve How do you get the band parents to not leave after the half time performance. We lose 50% of the crowd. Everyone needs to pay to get in. The freebie list is too long. Sorry alum you too. Support your school with dollars. That will help bring change. Speaking of change and alums I wonder if every alum from the past five years gave $50 to the athletic account, What would that look like? Ps Thanks Sterling! Complaining is easy. Getting involved is difficult. If you sit around and wait for the administration our the county nothing will get done. Their primary job is education not sports. We need more leaders and fewer victims! Thanks for your efforts 74 its making a differance.
  20. Columbia gets the money from their parking. They are adopted by the local civic organization. The organization collects the money and gives it to the school. Spring Hills parking for the central game last year was a disaster. A private company was used this year to handle the large volume of cars at that game. All money collected for that event went back to the school.
  21. I wonder if any of the coaches called to tell them great job? Maybe they should have come an eat dinner with the team on fall break.
  22. Here is what McCaster is doing. Great Job Ned! This is one reason to stay positive about SH. Osterman and McCaster receive SCAC weekly honors Centre College sophomore Ned McCaster (Spring Hill, Tenn.) and freshman Tyler Osterman (Monroe, Ohio) have been selected as Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Football Players of the Week for games played Saturday, Oct. 4. 23. You know why 66 brings baseball up all the time. 66 loves the game. Just enjoy watching your kid play QB and leave baseball to the baseball players.
  24. Coaches don't play the game. There are some really good coaches at the school. You can't win if the players don't execute. How many athletes go to other schools out of zone. Just to lose over there. You go with what you got! Things are getting much better SH. Baseball had a winning record last year and girls soccer has not been as good as they were 3yrs ago (State). Take a look at the
