  1. You know... It's sad. It almost seems as if BallBuster and Slobber Knocker kinda say the same words doesn't it? Almost like they know each other very well huh? You know you two are one in the same, you both have what I like to call "Little Man Sendrome" or "LMS" for short. Both of you seem as if your days in sports was little to be praised about. You sit around not doing anything to make the sittuation better so you have nothing better to do than critize everyone around you. You feel that once you point out one's flaws that it will make you look good. Almost like you would be put on a pedastal above everyone else. Well I have news for you. You're doing nothing for yourself. Evertime I read one of your post on here I just think to myself, "What a Jackfoot" You know you spend most of your meaningless lifes bashing Doctor Dave about everything he's done wrong, but you know at least he wants to sacrifice his time to do something. Let me ask you a question Slobber Knocker, what exactly have you done to help Sequoyah Athletics? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say not nearly enough to even see any faults in what you did. Just my two cents worth.
  2. After last night I believe Sequoyah fans saw a whole different ball team. I was afraid that the boys would come out intimidated and scared, but these boys came out with the mentality to win. Central is a great football team. They have atheletes to win the region but other than about four BIG plays the Chief Defense held strong and even held them out for a few series. Last night boys impressed me a lot and I will continue to see more improvement from week to week. Expect next week's game to be a good one, ending with a long awaited Chiefs win. Final Score Notre Dame- 7 Sequoyah- 28 GO CHIEFS!!
  3. Oh what a game. Big Blue vs Big Red. Who will win? That is a big question. Of course with Central's last week blowout against the Tigers. Central is the HUGE favorite in this matchup. However, I look at Sequoyah's team the have some talent & ALOT of heart, but they still have not found the thing that need to get together. Of course with two weeks to prepare that could be a major factor for the Chiefs. I've been to some practices last week and they seemed focus. It all depends if Sequoyah is on the same page. If they come out with the mind set of Sweetwater game you are liable to see a blowout;however, if all these boys come out confident and all on the same page this game could end up being a very good exibition. Definatly a game worth seeing. GO CHIEFS!
  4. Dear Slobber Knocker, Upon doing some research and speaking with some of the players on Sequoyah I have finally found an answer that you have been just dying to find out. Was the rushing TD against GP scored off the draw? Because if I tell you the answer you want to hear, then you can rub it in all our faces how it was Satterfield's offense worked; however, with the answer I have for you you will be disapointed. Jacob White just happen to score on the outside veer. Well I'd be durn what are the odds oh that? And still through all of this talk you still lack the hard evidence which I requested from you. I still see nothing. As soon as you can prove you are right with some kind of numbers, I will still continue to critize you. If we continue to use this passing on all four downs against Central, look for at least 3-5 int. Not that our QB is terrible its that Central's secondary is to good.
  5. SlobberKnocker, have you even watched a ame a football? Sometimes it seems as if when you post you don't know the difference between the football and coach's behind. We have sit here and shown you the stats and the hard evidence on how one might see the play calling of Sequoyah would be "bad". Now either you can prove your point on how going three pass plays in a row and then having to punt is good a good thing or I suggest you stop making a total fool of your self. Just trying to save you the embarssment. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  6. Well if I'm not mistaken four years ago when Hollaway was first brought in both Dave Davidson and Jeff Roberts were approached by the school and were asked to help coach. Now why would they ask two guys to coach if they didn't think they were fit to do the job? And besides I know Dave personally and I know for a fact he did more for that school then anyone gives him credit for. Now I know that having Jake playing may contributed a little bit to do with him wanting to improve the school but not many people would be willing to do the things he did without getting paid. And i'm sure Roberts was the same way. But I'm sorry that I'm getting off topic here, but as I said earlier I've been in the shadows for far too long it must be said. You know Slobber Knocker while your always on here saying negative things about these boys that maybe all the negativity the get from the community and school will always be in the back of the heads on friday nights. Instead we need to support these young men & praise them for the things they go through.
  7. I will tell you I am neither man SlobberKnocker. Besides I'm pretty sure every knew who they were anyway, Dave does by DrDave and Jeff goes by ?ChiefNation? unsure but something like that. I'm totally with meat on this one, the stats show that boys were more effective running the ball. I mean come on 4 for 21 passes? My gosh man something nots right
  8. No actually it was not a draw play they scored. If not mistaken, which I could be , I don't ever remember them having a draw in the playbook. And also if you look at the stats Sequoyah had double the yards rushing then passing. Can you not see that?
  9. Well from what I understand with this offense Satterfield is running you only have six men blocking, and when GP has eight men in the box coming everytime someone's gonna come free there's just no way to stop it. Anyone with any smarts what so ever can see that.
  10. Hello everyone! I have been a long time reader of CoachT but have never actually posted; however, I think that I've sit back in the shadows for far to long. I have been a long time fan of Sequoyah Football. I have made it to every game i possibly could in the past few years and supported these boys through thick and thin, mostly thin, but we have always had the talent to succed but there always seem that no matter what type of talent we have we always seem to come up short. Why is that? Hmm well lets start looking at things from every perspective. First you look at the players, it always seems to be that when the lights turn on and the other team comes on strong instead of fighting back they always seem to coward like a small child never wantin to fight back. But wait then you have the problem with why these boys have come to be this way. Well let us look at the safety of the coaching positsion. Well if I'm counting right ~subtract the 2 & carry the one~ we are up too our fourth, counting Coach Gregory's temporary take over, head coach in the past four years. Now if you do not think that this may contribute somewhat to our boy's sucess then you are mistaken. And most of the time it's not exactly the coach's fault. From my understanding its the men women in charge trying find the quickest way out and playing favorites. It seems as if the men and women this young men are suppose to look up too kinda like to take the easy way doesn't it? However, I am very off subject as this is a whole other discussion in itself. This group of seniors we see on the field now on friday nights are a very special bunch, I knew that whenever they were puny freshman. Through all this "crap" they have gone through they still seem confident in themselves and play the game with heart. I don't know if it's just me but it seems as if the leadership is actually there on the team unlike other years were there was none. I went to this past Sweetwater game and from what I saw these boys play it looked like a whole other team on the field then what Sequoyah is use to. These boys have so much heart. They are not your normal kids, and those who have met them or been around them long enough know what I'm talking about. And for those of you talking about the "bad" play calling, I totally agree. This is not a spread offense team. When you have a FB as the caliber of White, and don't kid yourself he is an amazing athlete, why not run the ball. Also with hardnose scrap players such as Moser at QB and Breden (Sorry if Mispelled) at RB who can both take a licking and still come back for more doesn't it seem that this FlexBone Offense of Gregory's just what we needed? From what I saw when we ran the spread offense we just could not get anything going. Now don't get me wrong we do have some decent WR such as Corvette, Thompson, & Brewster ect. But with the talent of such teams as Sweetwater it's hard to match up. Once we ran the FlexBone we was obtaining at least 5 to 10 yards a pop. So why not run it? It's okay to mix up with a little run and pass but most high school teams have trouble with the passing game anyway, of course there are exceptions. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the GP game but I did listen to it on the radio and it seemed to be the same problem in this game. Three plays pass, 4th and long and force to punt. It seemed that we had many opportunitys to win but with the play calls we were just not able to make it happen. Of course I'm sure that I would be able to tell you more about it if I was there, but I'm sure they played hard. These boys just need to keep their heads and fight through it, they're gonna break through sometime this year just unsure when. GO CHIEFS!
