  1. EHS has an off week this week so now is a good time to get the guys rested up for a tough JC team!
  2. I think Greeneville vs Asheville would be neat to see. Asheville has a strong running game as does Greeneville. That would be a slugfest!
  3. We did a lot better than Happy Valley would have done.
  4. Elizabethton gets the same crap from Happy Valley people so we're right there with you Greeneville.
  5. This is for anyone who goes to the EHS games that posts here. Where do you all sit? I always sit on the visitors side between the 50-40 about 5 or so rows up. Usually I am the only one in that whole section wearing orange and a black UNC cap
  6. Oh yeah! I definitely can't wait until next season when these younger guys have had some experience under their belts.
  7. His first year. He's got good hands and will be a stud in the future. They were saying he was a bit confused on where to line up.
  8. yeah for real. They were yelling at him to retire and all this crap. Very heathanistic fans right up there with Johnson County. I meant to post in my original reply did anyone see all of these holds that elizabethton was committing? Apparently Asheville fans thought we were holding on every play and that the refs were calling it in favor of us when in fact penalty wise it was about even.
  9. I believe that EHS will win this one but Unicoi will upset a team this year. Hopefully it isn't us. If things go the way they did against Asheville EHS will win and this will be their game where they win big..I hope.
  10. Asheville: 49 EHS: 28 Scoreboard doesn't tell the whole story. It was basically #10 Holloway vs EHS lol Holloway had 5 TDs. #81 Pagan, the future FL. Gator was less than stellar. Realized Asheville doesn't have a kicker as #40 was their only kicker. EHS #7 Turner had a spectacular gain with I think over 300 All purpose yards. Unfortunately the majority of those yards came from Kickoff returns but still...if he can get some room that kid is gone and will be a key player in our offense in the coming games. Berry had a wonderful night. No ints and 2 TDs. EHS looks like they got their passing game cleaned up tonight and have it together. Hopefully they will play like this for the remainder of the season. We did well in both passing and rushing tonight unlike previous games and we didn't have many penalties which was a big plus. Asheville just had more speed and size than us and beat us physically. But we had a costly fumble on the goal line which probably cost us the game mentally and literally. On a side note, Asheville had some friendly fans but I have never heard so much foul language at a football game before.
  11. I don't know enough about Cloudland to make a score prediction but I feel HV will roll over this team. HV has good things in store and is making a strong run for 2-3rd best team in the conference. Tope 3 are definitely EHS, North, and HV. This will be the year HV solidifies themselves as a new Top contender in the conference.
  12. Wow..you still butthurt over last years thrashing and then getting beat again this year by having the game stolen from you in the last minutes? Yeah, I guess I'd be pretty bitter too. As already mentioned HV and EHS are very close in terms of students. And a few times in the past years HV has actually had more students than EHS. My senior year HV had about 100 more student than EHS. EHS doesn't play down we have always played UP. We got bumped down into 3A not by choice, much like how Sullivan Central got thrown to the wolves. We do play schools the same size..and we beat them..we ARE undefeated in conference play this year and last year as well. Again, someone already mentioned it but Asheville would have possibly lost had the refs not been so crappy on that final TD. We did beat Greeneville last year and Science Hill as well. CAK only beat us by 1 point so no, maybe we shouldnt play Carter county schools because we have nothing to gain by beating 1A and 2A schools. EHS has proven time and time again they can hang with the bigger schools..don't be jealous.
  13. Oh yeah, here is a link to their message board topic for our game. http://ncpreps. rivals .com/showmsg.asp?fid=1112&tid=147643377&mid=147643377&sid=958&style=2 they got a link to our topic on their board and a lot of them seem to be giving EHS a lot of props.
  14. Wow..at least your posting lives up to your screen name. Maybe you should lay off the Budwiser before you log in to post? Just saying....Anyway I bolded that part because those other in-county school don't want to play EHS. Simple as that. Plus, what would Elizabethton have to gain by playing them? Absolutely nothing. Plus there is only 3 other in-county school that we don't play. You get better if you play better opponents and schools like Unaka, Cloudland, and Hampton sure dont seem like they would be as good as Asheville, Greeneville, Science Hill, CAK.
  15. yeah, I figured I'd keep tradition and make the weekly topic anyway lol. Figure us TN people can banter about what we know/don't know at least.
  16. So has our passing improved any? From what I heard it hasn't.
  17. Last year EHS got cheated out of a win. This time they come to our field with our refs. I hope EHs wins.
  18. Yea Barb is correct. I also don't think we will see the speed that Greeneville showed with future teams either so our Defense should be able to hold out. I've said it in every thread, that passing game needs to get cleaned up or it will be a tougher season than it should. But for the record if there was any year to beat EHS this year would be it.
  19. Yeah, the bands were good tonight and it's always fun watching one of the few female kickers in the nation kick as you don't see that every day. Go win that Title so we can say we lost to the 4a champs this year
  20. So EHS travels to North. I don't know much about North this season but by looking at non conference schedule they don't play Greeneville of Science Hill. Leading up to this game Sullivan North have played volunteer, central, and east. None of those teams look to be making a run at anything this year. EHS has played Volunteer, SH, Greeneville, HV. The key thing here imo is us having played 2 powerhouse teams in SH and Greeneville. Plus we are coming off a HUGE loss so motivation should be up to win this next game and establish ourselves in the conference as I feel the winner of this game will go on to become conference champions. But Strength of Schedule up to this point will be a big factor in the outcome of this game imo. EHS has been tested and have been able to have their weaknesses exposed by better or equal teams so we know for sure what needs to be worked on. There is a saying that goes something like "You don't get better unless you play teams better than you." It will be a good game and I feel this one will be a close one.
