Actually, the refs weren't giving the proper signals. It was one of the biggest complaints I heard from the boys as they came off the field. I think both teams played extremely well, and it wasn't exactly a blowout either way. D.J. spiked the ball on the 4th down, because he didn't know it was the 4th down. It was a mistake. They happen. My brother was out there for Hickman County, and he said that between the Marshall Co. band playing while the teams were getting set (which they shouldn't have been...) and all the fan noise, you couldn't hear anything. But regardless, I don't think either team has anything to be ashamed of.

Hickman County had a disheartening loss last week, but they are far from disheartened. The Defense was definitely lacking in last weeks game, but the team has made strides in correcting their mistakes. My itty bitty (6'3, 310lb /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> ) brother is on the O Line, and I've watched every practice this week. They're more than ready. Hickman will take Fairview, and by a good margin.
