Knox Webb has advanced to the finals of the winners bracket and has qualifed for substate. They await the winner of Ezell and DCA. The losser of the Ezell Vs. DCA game will play the winner of the USN vs. Davidson game for a substate berth. Likewise FRA awaits the winner of the Riverside vs Zion for a substate berth.

  9. In the East/Middle here are Monday's games. In the winners bracket: FRA at Knox Webb Ezell at DCA (Due to flooding at DCA will be played at Ezell) Looser Bracket Games: USN at Davidson Zion at Riverside
  10. In the East/Middle Zion defeted Webb School 13 - 3 last night in a playin game. There are 2 additional playin games this evening. Zion vs. St. Andrews and USN vs. MJCA. The double elimination tournament begins tomorrow. #4 Zion/Saint Andrews vs. #1 DCA #2 Ezell vs #3 Riverside #4 USN/MJCA vs #1 Knox Webb #2 FRA vs #3 Davidson Games tomorrow and Monday are at higher seed. Due to flooding, USN vs. MJCA game tonight and DCA game tomorrow will be played at Ezell
  11. Trousdale County Field took a hit as did Hendersonville High School. DCA took a major hit. It is still under water.
  12. Play in games and first two days (May 8 and 10) of 8 team double elimination are at higher seed field. The balance of the games on May 11-14 will be at Ezell Harding.
  13. DCA split with Riverside to finish District play at 9-1. There are still some district games left but it would appear that the order of finish is this district will be DCA, FRA (2 district losses with USN left), Riverside (3 district losses), USN, Zion, and Webb School. The other side of the district looks like Knox Webb (6-0 with Davidson left) followed by Ezell (2 District losses), and Davidson (2 District losses with Know Webb remaining). Saint Andrews and MJCA play next week with neither team winning a District game to date. There will be a 8 team double elimination tournament for the region. The final spots for the 8 teams will be determined by a play in game. I don't know how the seeding will be done. I would assume that the top 5 are in with the bottom 6 playing a play in game.
  14. Brad Warren DCA with 11 in 18 games.
  15. East/Middle is split into two districts. One district has USN, DCA, FRA, Webb School, Zion, and Riverside. DCA is 8-0 in district play with 2 games left with Riverside next week. In the other district you have Ezell, Knox Web, Davidson, St. Andrews and MJCA. As stated earlier Knox Webb is 4-0 in that district followed next by Ezell.
  16. As it has been well proven the TSSAA does not care about the private schools. They have the multiplier, Z-Plan, and a championship games on Thursday. They didn't even take the time to get the brackets right in a division with no wildcards. How do you reverse the two districts and no one catch it. As far as attendence, most of the public schools love it when they get one of the mid size to large privates in town. It is one of the better gates for the year as the fans actually come to the game. The privates are the evil step child and no one at the TSSAA cares as evidenced by a Thursday championship game with no coverage versus what they do for the public schools. They don't care about the saftey of the kids when schools with 300 have to play 40% of there games against schools with enrollments over 1,000. All TSSAA cares about is money. Money talks so how long before someone puts together a private school association and the privates pull out of TSSAA. If they saw the money was going to leave then maybe they would listen.
  17. If you look at the TSSAA Handbook and view the football page, it states that each team in the East/Middle will play 7 region games with the top 6 making the playoffs. The East Middle is split into 2 piecies with one side having 5 teams and the other having 4. You play everyone on your side and 3 from the other side. I think it all got messed up when one team dropped out at the last minute. The result is that Knox Webb, Ezell Harding, FRA, and Zion only play 6 region games. How does the seeding work. Is it number of wins or number of losses. For example if you have a team with a 6-1 record and one with a 5-1 record, who is the higher seed?
  18. Wow. The officials made a mistake and a game was reversed. This is a tough situation. Part of me says if you have the opportunity to correct a wrong you do so. However if this same mistake was made at the end of the first half, it would not have been reversed. If you can't undo every mistake by an official, can you do it at all?
  19. Something doesn't add up. You only have 12 teams that play football in the west in A. If you split them into 2 pieces it would be 6 teams in each getting you 5 games and your plus one from the other for 6 games. Not close to your 8. Did they say anthing about scheduling in A when thye put this out?
  20. TSSAA finally put something on the website. http://www.tssaa.org/d2regions.pdf.
  21. The Tennessean had the following in the paper for Division II. Is this correct? Class A East/Middle: Riverside Chr.; Zion; Lancaster; King's Academy; Mt. Juliet Chr.; St. Andrew's Sewanee; Webb; FRA; Ezell-Harding; Davidson Acad.; DCA; USN; Knoxville Webb; St. Cecilia Class AA East/Middle: BGA; Ensworth; Brentwood Acad.; JPII; Baylor; Harpeth Hall; GPS; Father Ryan; MBA; McCallie
  22. The Tennessean has the following on its website which would indicate 2 big districts for Div II A. So we assume this is correct. Class A East/Middle: Riverside Chr.; Zion; Lancaster; King's Academy; Mt. Juliet Chr.; St. Andrew's Sewanee; Webb; FRA; Ezell-Harding; Davidson Acad.; DCA; USN; Knoxville Webb; St. Cecilia Class AA East/Middle: BGA; Ensworth; Brentwood Acad.; JPII; Baylor; Harpeth Hall; GPS; Father Ryan; MBA; McCallie
