Some interesting news: Gallatin has hired a new offensive coordinator. He is Mark Williams, who was in the same position at Smyrna. He was an assistant at Gallatin for 3 years back in the early 2000's, and will no doubt bring some excitement to the Green Wave. Looks like an excellent hire!
SORT OF MAKES U WONDER IF THE TALENT IS GONE DOESN'T IT????

does anybody know when spring practice is for all the rutherford county schools.
NO, but the 2011 schedule is now on the warrior football website for all to see.
-
TDCMAN, the schedule I was given last week has Brighton playing here at Tomahawk Stadium, but I will confirm that after our meeting tomorrow night at the school ok.
-
the kicker wasn't bad after halfway thru season. and alot of it was a first time kicker, first time sophmore snapper and a first time sophmore holder. you will see big improvement in kicking game this season.and def had alot of young players.
The boy(kicker), will sure need to put on some more muscle this off-season so he can kick it into the endzone on kickoffs, or the warriors will be in trouble again this year imo.

i tried going to the web site to find out our past records and all that stuff but i couldnt find it so i need to learn to navigate it better so here is my question
when was the last time we won district or region?...was it 06?
Hey Riverdaleman, the warriors went undefeated in region play in 2007.That was when we had that big o-line that most went on to play college football.Lost to Wilson Central in second round, which to this day I wouldn't have believed it if I wasn't actually there to see it.

No I hadn't heard anything saying that it wasn't on, but I tried to look it up on Riverdale's homepage and there was nothing listed about it(I obviously looked in the wrong areas). I figured a game of that calibur would easy to find on their homepage. I then thought that maybe the deal fell through. Can you give me a site to go to that I can read about it. Thank you for confirming it.
It wil not be on the site until about two weks before the season begins.

Brighton people on coach T.I was wondering if you could tell us what kind of offense you guys run, defense, and any d-1 players on your roster coming to see us at Tomahawk Stadium this fall.I will send you guys an update after you send me one ok.
-
Can anyone confirm or deny whether this game is going to happen next year?
It is not happening next year, but it is happening this fall.
-
Tough schedule
Yeah it's tough, but have you seen siegel's schedule for this year?
-
What week? What does Brighton have coming back?
It will be interesting to see how well they play defense against the wing-t from Riverdale in week zero.

He was at Lincoln County for a long time. I know he was head coach at Lavergne before Hester. Then he left there to be head coach at Marshall County while waiting for Louie to retire. He recently went to LC as an assistant. So he has gone full circle. Good luck to him.
Thanks 2p.Now I remember him at Lavergne. They have never been the same after he left.

Don Thomas was hired as Head football coach at Lioncoln co. to replace Luis Thompson. Giles co. coach David O'conner accepted ,then rescinde earlier this month.
I've heard the name before.Where did he coach last?
-
Glad to hear that LOD! Glad your back! Its nice to see thet have that chart up there still. Hopefully the strength coach will ride these players coming up like seabisquit! GO WARRIORS!
Yes Coach Dobbs will work them hard in the off season. He knows what it takes to win.

Only individual one I can remember is squat and he was doing 750 on squat regularly. Boy lifted for two hours a day hard. He regularly pancake blocked MUCH larger players. He still lifts daily in the Army. R'dale USED to be a pretty amazing team!
LOD, they still have the board in the weight room.Several warriors last year posted above 1200 total weight.I do not know how many this year was above that number or even close, but I heard Mcclusky was the beast in the weight room.

My war was before yours as I was in Korea and it looks like I need to go back and straghten some things out.
And just because you say would say it to his face doesnt make your whining on a message board any more appropriate or manly. In fact it makes it worse, as you know what you should do, but you don't. You sit at your computer and gripe, whine, and complain instead of actually doing anything. I even gave you two options of what you could do. But you chose the easier, weaker way, and a way that five years of effort have proven to be futile. Old dogs can't learn new tricks in your case, huh?
I enjoy being mystical. My name is my name, very well known by many, never to be known by Mike Skidmore, the great cLOD.
Happy Thankgiving.
OOOOOOOOOOOH SNAP.........Maybe he gets the message now u think??????

What's scary is both these teams are young and will only get better. OR starts 8 sophomores and Zulliger is a Jr. I look forward for more Riverdale/OR matchups in the future.
I agree with your post 100%.Look forward to the future of both these teams.

WOW WOW nothing about congrats to Smyrna who but the way beat you guys twice this year, or congrats to the Smyrna coaching staff, who by the way is very underappreciated on here(COACH T).To come up with a gameplan twice. and have the players ready twice, and to beat the hall of famer Shadowens twice, well I just think you might want to make another post after your intial post.
-
Very dissapointing from an overall standpoint, but you have to realize our warriors are very young team, and the qb did an outstanding job this year only being a sophomore.Had a freshman running back that started out hot, then got hurt,so he battled thru, but was never the same at the end as he was at the start of the season. The team needs to work on special teams period.Defense will get better and stonger I have no doubt about that. Not going to make any excuses, and I never said cupcake in any of my posts about OR.Congrats, and I believe what your QB said in the dnj paper here, we wanted it more, because it showed on the field.
-
The dnj man picked the warriors to win 49-35 tonight.I don't feel like the warriors will give up 35 tonight, but he does.Keep your eye on number 44 tonight.I feel like he will have a great game on both sides of the ball.
-
Warriors working hard yesterday at practice. It was intense and longer than most Monday practices. So yes we are taking the game seriously, and we will be ready.
-
You are so right 2P.Same old story, but the coach is the constant in it.
-
you know, you might think were a cupcake, but we're a proud program (oak ridge)... not saying we will win by any stretch of the imagination, but you ask any riverdale warrior fan, and they have a load of respect for the wildcats of oak ridge in east tennessee... bet money on that.
Do not pay attention to blazethewaze or donkeyhooty fruity tooty, but we as Riverdale folk know the proud program very well, and believe you me our boys know they better bring the same intensity every game out.Should be a good game.Oak Ridge folks start posting more on your team, and let us know about your boys.
-
You really are a whiney little witch!
If it was your team on this side of the bracket you would not say a thing. Best get ready for your next game because it is NOT going to be the gimme last nights game was for y'all.
Great post LOD....
