back to the subject smyrna won the state 2 times with sonny and rod but both were out of zone they both were actually zoned to lavergne but started smyrna with an exemption when freshman. and for the others talkign about riverdale getting all the a one kids and all these other kids playing for blackman and siegel that would not have played at riverdale that is bs my son for example has went to every summer camp in the county as a middle schooler and has been ask by several to come to their school to play ball he could have played for any school in the county he is zoned for siegel and he loves it over there and would not play for anyone other than siegel win or lose and he is a top notch player as you all call them but most improtantly he is getting a great education and all the parents that are worried about these footballl teams wins and loses have got issues because before football the education should be the most important.... these coaches win or lose are tring to teach these kids how to play a game and if it is all about winning you all are missing it in life period because truely how many kids really make it when you average it out very few will from murfressboro. there have been some and there will be more but you all this isn't college nor is it the pros and if these kids are good enough they will make it look at the kids from siegel the so called 2nd and 3rd picks for riverdale their are kids that are in great colleges playing football but most of all they are getting a great education. and that is what matters.

well the refs can and did change the momentum to that game and yes I will say that if it were not for them refs then we would not have lost that game with us playing as bad as we did we still would have won if them dern refs had not have made such bad calls .

I do know that they say alot of the boys will not play .... I can tell you this when I was young and someone come on my field stomping my mascot like a bunch of thugs I would have done exactly what them boys done. I do hope that all the boys involved blackman boys also gets the punishment that is deserved. all boys involved embarassed their schools their communities and their families, but I can not say that I would not have done the same thing as a teenager if that happened to my football team. and I do not think that any one of you on here can say that either.

I dont know what went on at siegel before last year because we were not there I was not one of them parents talking about wanting the coach fired my son has played there for 2 years and I have been very impressed with the coaching over there winning and losing he has always treated my son with respect that means alot to me and my family especially my son he is a great person, mentor, and last but not least a coach he has been hard at times on my son but I totally see a difrence in him this year from last year and he will have 2 more years with him also football is not all about wins or loses as far as that is concerned it is about getting them ready for the next level win or lose and I can say that siegel coaches are doing a great job of that coach watson is one of the smartest coaches I have ever met now he might not have the percentages that other older coaches have but I can say this he is smart when it comes to coaching....... now for riverdale coaches I cant say I have not had any experiences with them as I have siegel but I can say this my son would not play for anyone but him...... and I mean that......

well all I am saying is it takes heart to play every friday night win or lose and you all just so happen to lose this last one to siegel which gets no respect at all in this county and you all sound like a bunch of babies that blame everything on the coaching I am not saying that the players did not play hard cause you bet your sweet pants they did but siegel just got the best of them this time, and it wasn't all the coaches fault that they got beat. siegel team played really hard from the heart and really wanted that game as bad as they have wanted any other game they have played you win some and lose some and you as fans should take the wins and be proud of your team and take the loses and still be proud of your team and quit blaming everything on coaching. if you were at siegel you would have won friday night and would not be complaining about anything.......you would be happy....... and loving your coach............like siegel parents do right now ...............

who ever said that all coaches coach the same!!!!!!!!!!! no one coach is going to coach like rankins just because of that you saying that he isn't coaching good come on now are you telling me that them kids out there didn't play last friday night to win that ball game ???????? that is a joke !!!!!!!!!!!!! they just got out played ......... and you want to blame a coach for you all losing a ballgame is wrong.........

well I think that everyone is equal this year some have more talent than others and some have a little more expirence in their coaching staff than others but I would not wish anyone to lose their job over a football game no matter what!!!!!!!!! what goes around will come back to the people that wish bad on other people ..... and you are right priceless the cream as you call it are spread all over the county now that is why no team stands out this year more so than any other ....but for grey and wilks they were zoned lavergne so really lavergne should have been the ones showing the ball for the past 2 years if they had of been where their zoned school was at...........it would have been lavergne because they were play makers......and as far as siegel is concerned they do play with what they have and they them boys have heart they are tired of being the underdogs and have worked really hard to be where they are today and I really do not think anyone of you all can take that away from anyone of them boys at this point.

well riverdale is not haveing such a good year is it because all the fumbleing or is it cause the coaching what i am trying to say is the coaches are not out there on that field on friday night playing when they fumble a ball it is not the coaches fault that they are fumbling and the way everyone on here talks the coach needs to be fired because riverdale lost 3 games this year 2 of which was lost because of fumbles and one was just because they got out played and you all are all talking it is a coaching mistake well i don't blame coaches for fumbles nor for the heart of the boys when they get out there and get out played it is very unfair to all these coaches when losing or winning as far as that is concerned to blame all on coaching it takes the football players that go out there all week and practice and play that game on friday night to win or lose a ball game ultimately .........

It is very sad to know that when teams are losing they always blame the coaches and want to rid the coaches people there are players out their that get on that field every friday night weather they are in the right positions or not they are taught to play that position all spring and sumer long and it is the players that play 4 quarter of a football game not the coaches. I do agree it takes coaching to win but it also takes players doing what the coaches tell them to do to win weather you win or lose them kids and I mean all the kids in rutherford county go out there to play a game and hopeful they do their very best and some times talent is a factor and some times coaching is a factor and alot of times it is both but utimatly it comes down to if the players go out there and want to win and have the heart to win that ballgame on friday night!!! in 4-5a it comes down to heart and who wants that game the most it is a sad time when people start dogin the coaches for all mistakes that is made on the field and blame it all on coaching most of the kids in rutherford county have been taught as youth to play football why blame everything on these high school coaches I dont my son and he makes mistakes alot and some big and some not so big but he is not mistake free. and it is not all coaching faults he has been taught since he was 5.
