actually he was at the game and so was i... what game did you see and tell me your perspective!

I saw the game............ What I saw was East Hickman get ripped off by a Official , actually 2 Officials...... You should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is Coach Hatley, the defensive coach of the east eagles. I usually do not post as can be seen by my user name stat line, but I think today I will say a few things to the supporters of our program that are upset at the way we do things. "Why were the starters still in the game?". We will be breaking down film Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to ?. Come by and see for yourself who HC still had in the game. (what HC RB broke the long run at the end of the game after #39 got hurt? What # was the QB that threw the late TD pass?) It is our job to STOP the "O". If the "O" continues to try to score and if they do so with their best possible players we will try to stop them with our best possible players. I don't think there is any question that #39 is one of our best defensive players. He played his butt off in that game and has done so all year long. He plays the game the way it is to be played, full speed and as physical as he can. Injuries are a terrible part of the game however and he was injured. My question to our supporters that post under hidden names is this, why do you not trust that we are doing what is best for the direction of this team? Do you think we meet each sunday and game plan for the best possible way to loose our next game? We have improved each game since the school opened. The kids that have stuck it out give everything they have each week and I am very proud of them. They could have laid it down at any point this year, but they continue to go hard. If you don't think we are the right coaches for the job, just come out and say it. Why beat arround the bush? If you supporters have the answers to the questions you continue to ask let us know. What offense should we run? How would you do things and how would what you would do translate into a better result? Second guessing what I do in front of me is one thing, but to do so infront of our players only takes away from the improvements we continue to make.

????????? whats up............... Trust me I am a 100% supporter and have the coaches back many times in the stands, off the field and on here.. I support the concept 100% even though I sometimes wonder the reasoning for some things but that is not my buisness.. You use my post like I said something wrong? Questions were being asked , and was the game really that close. So my post praises the Defense and YES it was close. ... READ before you put your foot in your mouth. Nothing negative was said on my part. Are you being bashed?????????????? I dont think so. Your Defense is on a drastic uphill climb, you had Hickman county stands sitting quiet, for awhile. Hats off to you. But dont use my post to say your being second guessed............................ GOOD JOB COACH.... ? What more do you want ?

Box score in the paper said it was 14-0 going in to the 4th. Was it actually that close?

It was 7-0 until less than 2 min in the half. They played a great first half, at least the defense did. East caused a turnover by fumble on the Bulldogs opening drive, I felt they (Bulldogs) were a little bit shocked at this point. East was there to play. But after the big turnover, East went 3 and out,after a "backwards punt" , , Centerville got the ball back, then busted a big play up the middle up the middle for 6 . and it was back and forth the rest of the half , The Defense played awesome the first half, but the problem is they played the whole first half, Offense was non existant the whole game.Hats off to the Bulldogs, Also East Defense, I have no Idea why the starters were left in.

East wins............ the odds are against us but................... they have overcome alot this year.........nice way to close the season.....................

Speaking of drugs and crime...ever read the Sheriff's report in the HC Times? Try reading it each week and seeing where all of the drugs and crimes are happening in Hickman County. Better check your facts before making statements like that. I feel sorry for all the good folks in East that are poorly represented by this idiot.

Before you go off spouting about something you need to do your research. a few years ago Hickman County Middle School had more Drug infractions and incidents than any other school.........yes moron, any other school in Mid Tenn.including high schools. Ask the good doctor, Tennessean does not lie, stats are there do a little research. But i forgot you are "LUDAWG" . As far as the drug thing.......you know " fool" what is being talked about......... Whos your daddy ?????????? Coach Jones runs a class program, the whiners such as crabapple want to make thier own rules and that does not fly .Drugs in East program is not welcome. Thugs not welcome, gangstas not welcome. I am behind that mindframe 100% .

from the sounds of your name( doubleclapstep)you must be a cheerleader. if i was you i would take a sick day friday and not come an cheer for your eagles because there want be much for you to cheer about. everybody keeps saying we are winning because we still have east kids. there not east kids, they know which side of the county is the best and the best to live in (729).

It wont be long before Centerville is a ghost town. So the 729 as you say is on a dowward spiral.........Most of your Main players are from East......go figure. The 729 is such a good place.......... maybe if your a drug dealer , dopehead, or psycho.... you can commit the crime and the School leaders can still find a way for you to play.......... boy what a place! ! ! you all stand for such good things......... and hide behind that church.......Wonder why Swenson left????? . Not a cheerleader...........just cheer for the Eagles. All I can say is be ready..... Coach Jones will have a plan in place. East may just stun the Bullfrogs.

East gets there first win and now they thank they can beat us? THATS FUNNY!!! (HICKMAN 56 east 0) We will do to you as you did our middle school. I feel sorry for you guys!

its called confidence. If East defense plays like they did last week, Bulldogs could be in trouble. I am glad you all in the soon to be ghost town think you are going to walk all over us. Keep thinking that, East has more to prove . The first win has came.... anything can happen.

I'd really like to see East pull it off . I have a granddaughter that will be attending there in a couple of years. Congrats on your first win. I have a son that was part of an o&20 team afew years ago so I know the frustration those young men and parents feel. Personally I think Hickman Co. Bulldogs are overrated. I've seen them play and if it werent for acouple very talented running backs they wouldn't have all that much. Not trying to be hatefull, just call em; as I see em, Anyway luck to the eagles

East can pull the upset, they have got the 1st win, Now they have confidence in themselves, Defense is playing up to par. If things fall thier way this will be a big win. I will predict East will suprise Centerville and hang with them, and sneak a suprising win. East 21 Centerville 17

Hickman county wins both meetings.

East Hickman Eagles has won the Middle Tennessee Atheletic Conference Championship today beating Fairview 14-0 a team that stood undefeated and Varsity unscored on this year until today. Congradulations to Coach Harris, Coach Davis , Coach Jenkins , Coach Eli, Coach Graham , and Coach Ewell. They went to Lewis County with the odds stacked against them but smart coaching and a focused team prevailed. The High School and Coach Jones will be getting a very good group.

I hope the Eagles get their first win this Friday, but win or lose, one thing for certain is that Coach Jones and his program will show more class than their middle school. I try to pull for the Eagles as long as they're not playing HC, but after watching EHMS run the score up on HCMS with less than two minutes to go and a 43-14 lead, it's becoming harder to do. Running a trick play and throwing a long touchdown pass late in the game when all you have to do is take a knee makes your whole program look back, not just your school. Kudos to Coach Jones, regardless of record, for showing his players how to play the game with class. And shame on you Coach Harris for ruining a stellar performance by your team by resorting to a bush league play like that to end the game.

REPORT.......LUDAWG must say. Shame on you Coach Harris for making it to the Semi-finals by demolishing Lewis County 30-0 and going today back to Lewis County to face Fairview who stands Undefeated and unscored on until today...... East Hickman Eagles win 14-0 East wins the M.T.A.C. Championship.

Glad that those Centerville kids "know their place place in the county for the rest of their school days." I believe if you check your records, East Middle has had much football success over Centerville recently, but top to bottom considering ALL sports, Hickman Middle has held their own with the eagles. And I'm glad you know Centerville like you do. I believe that Coach Swenson called the dogs off last year when he could have beaten your high school by 100 if he wanted to, and this is how you repay us. Coach P was in the stands last week and I hope he has a good memory in a couple of weeks. I hope you think it will be a walk in the park when East comes to the Mighty Centerville. We have to re-pay you for not beating us by 100 ???? By keeping the score down in the middle school game ? Wrong, it was still the varsity in the game for the last TD. I know all of those kids. And if the players were smack talking, well, they are middle school kids. I would hope the coaching staff is more mature than to resort to those kind of tactics. Play hard and beat them on the scoreboard, but don't resort to cheap play to tarnish a good performance by your team. And don't assume for a minute that middle school success always translates to high school success. Too many variables. Kids quitting, kids failing, kids getting jobs, etc. It will all have to play out before we really know how Hickman and East will be after this year.

Knowing Centerville like I do, if the shoe was on the other foot they would not let up. I am glad they got a thrashing like they did. Well deserved, sorry it was "Middle School kids" , now they know thier place in the county for thew rest of thier School days. It could have been a whole lot worse,all the Varsity was NOT all in, a few were. East pulled thier varsity and put in the JV and the brilliant HC coach kept his varsity in trying to keep pounding the JV, so it was answered. It makes sense to me. As far as the High School goes , Hickman county is enjoying this season compliments of several key players that came from East Middle School. The Bulldogs have a great team this final year of the dynasty, I hope they go all the way.

I have always read these pages for a long time and some are real comical, but after reading this board with EX-Coach Josh Smith on here spouting off I had to register and put my opinions on here. Mr. Matt Jones is our kids Coach, he is doing his best with what he has. He has my respect and support, he does not put up with nonsense and enforces the rules. that is very rare to have someone who actually holds his players accountable, instead of making excuses/provisions for thier screwups so they can keep them on the field. ( as done West of East ) A win would be nice, but I am patient it will come. Frustration is to be expected, especially if you are a Coach or Player doing everything in your power to set the road for success. It will happen, trust me. As for you , you are a joke, plain and simple, you had no buisness coaching our Baseball team, you have no buisness Coaching any team, ( especially young girls). You never Coached at East Hickman, you held the title, but you never coached anything. I was hoping you would go away and someday find yourself,learn from your mistakes. But after reading your post on here you have not changed. It will not be long before your looking for a job again. I will not post all your antics and incidents that you were involved in at East. that would take awhile. The best choice you can make is go away, Coach Jones and East will be just fine. The mistake was made by bringing you into the system,but they corrected and got rid of you. I also hold the School partly to blame for this "Josh Smith" debacle. They had to know your issue and downfalls. But that is water under the bridge......Quit trying to paddle back upstream, go away....... yours truley ............the man, the myth.......the legend.
