  1. To be fair I have decided to post the passing statistics as well; so here goes: Lewis County (7-0) has completed 13 of 25 passing (52%) for 204 yards (8.16/per attempt) with 1 TD and 2 INT. Lewis County's opponents have completed 52 of 103 passing (50.49%) for 387 yards (3.76/per attempt) with 1 TD and 5 INT. Hickman County (6-1) has completed 15 of 46 passing (32.61%) for 230 yards (5.00/per attempt) with 5 TD and 5 INT. Hickman County's opponents have completed 69 of 143 passing (48.25%) for 887 yards (6.20/per attempt) with 7 TD and 8 INT. I have watch Hickman play 5 of their 7 games this year; here is my point -- In my opinion HC is vulnerable in the secondary. I know that passing is not Lewis County's strong suit; however, if it comes down to a pass here and there Lewis County has a distinct advantage. JMHO!
  2. Based on www.highschoolsports.net here are the numbers that I come up with: Lewis County (7-0) has rushed for 2240 yards on 294 attempts (7.619/carry) Lewis County's opponents have rushed for 719 yards on 167 attempts (4.305/carry) Hickman County (6-1) has rushed for 1934 yards on 268 attempts (7.216/carry) Hickman County's opponents have rushed for 550 yards on 174 attempts (3.161/carry) Should be a good matchup!
  3. As a Hickman County fan I would love nothing more than to beat Lewis County this coming Friday Night. Before this past Friday, I believed that we, the Bulldogs, had a 50/50 chance of beating Lewis County. However, a fairly major thing happened this past Friday night at East Robertson; all-state RB Scott Sowell left the game and the field with what appeared to be an injury to his hamstring. If Sowell is not able to go this coming Friday night, Hickman County's chance to win takes a significant hit. I'm not saying that Hickman can't win without Sowell on the field, but players like Sowell don't come around that often. Some advice for those who will be attending this Friday night??™s game: Arrive early; this may be one of the largest crowds you ever see for a High School football game. We are talking about two towns that absolutely love their football teams. No doubt about it the Region Championship will be decided on Friday night. GO DAWGS
