  1. Farragut defense is really struggling. Catholic has a lot of weapons. I knew if Catholic could pass the ball, that Farragut was going to have a hard time. Farragut pass defense is not very good at all. Farragut really needs to cut out mistakes and turnovers on offense because the only way they are going to win this game is to outscore Catholic

Yep, Farragut's coaches better make some changes at halftime to stop the pass. The good thing though is that Farragut made some huge mistakes in the first half and didn't play very well and are up 13-12.

  2. I think Farragut takes this game, they're offense will step up and the defense will continue to play good. What sort of passing game does Catholic have? If Farragut just keys on Cozart and stopping the run, it will force Catholic to be 1 dimensional and i'm confident their secondary is good enough to shut down Catholic's passing game and get some turnovers as well. Farragut should come out and establish the run first and foremost. Purty has improved greatly since last season and you can see it in his footwork, strength, agility, and vision that wasn't as prominent last year. The running game should open the passing game and i see Farragut winning this one 34-16.

  3. I played for Farragut Baseball for 4 years, and to call them classless is absurd. Please leave the childish insults out of this, coach Pharr always emphasized classy behavior, he would have rather us lost every game then not been good sports or good people and he pretty much drilled that into our heads 3 times a day.

I'll take my 3 state rings, but on top of that Coach Pharr taught me a lot, and anyone who doesn't know much about the guys in the Farragut program really need to just chill out and realize its just a game.

That is 100% correct. Coach Pharr is definitely a class act and every team he coaches wins and loses with class. I think that's what makes Farragut Baseball so special, the fact that they have some of the best players around and also some of the best people. As for why everyone hates them, I have no clue. Can anyone give me an actual reason that has some sense behind it?

  4. Mark who and Ryan who? Are you out of your mind Sam Thomas?

Hey doucher, this is Sam Thomas. Stop saying i'm TKZ it's not me. Ask Mark Lail tomorrow. Everyone knows TKZ is Team Killzone, so how does it make TKZ1025 automatically me? Oh well, Mark told me you were just some scrub outfielder, so i guess you can't help yourself. Good try though.

  5. Even their stats favor Pfeifer, its not even close.. he was 13-1 on the mound with a 1.14 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 68 innings (1.82 per inning) last year. District 4-AAA Pitcher of the Year, First Team All-District, First Team All-State, Gold Medalist on the 16u USA team where he got the Win in each of his starts.

  6. Pfiefer= best pitcher on a 43-3 state championship team as a freshman. BCA National Freshman of the Year. State Tournament record for strikeouts in a game. Lost only one game as a freshman.

Watson= Best pitcher on an average at best Siegel team?

  7. PatriotPal...is this the same Carter Watson that pitched when Farragut run-ruled Siegel 15-0 last year? Yes, i believe so.

And did Carter Watson win the BCA National Freshman of the Year? No. But Phillip Pfiefer did.

  8. What is the furthest ball hit by Thoreson, Powell, Stallings, or Delmonico?

Mac hit one 410+ last year down in Ft. Lauderdale. He hit it through the field goal post on football field which was a good 60 ft behind the fence which was 335 in left center.

Cade has hit too many to count, but the two i remember best were his sophomore year against Collierville. He went back to back off Ole Miss signee Pomeranz and each was easily 420+. Over the road at Oakland's field.

Most of Curt's homeruns are linedrives. He doesn't hit many magestic shots because he is mainly a doubles and triples guy. Plus he's like 155-160 lbs.

  9. PLEASE don't take this as a "Knock" on a great program like Farragut..But after seeing the dimensions of their ballpark, they should hit a TON of bombs. 287ft. down the lines, 325ft. & 330ft. in the gaps and 360ft. in center. PLEASE!!

Even with the high fences, it's like a Babe Ruth field for Stallings and other Admirals. Anyone agree?

It's actually 305 and 310 down the lines, respectively. You also have to take into account the height of the wall, and Farragut has a large wall from left to right center. So technically its an average sized high school baseball field. And Farragut does hit alot of bombs at home to say the least.

Also, everybody tends to say this about the "short porch" and whatnot, but you hardly ever see teams come in and hit several homeruns against Farragut. Idk what it is but teams get big-eyed at the plate and swing for the fences everytime it seems.

    Atleast its not 300 in center like at Lenoir City.... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  10. I dont know but its gotta be someone from Farragut....right?

Seriously, the best SS in the Midstate is Sam Dove at BA.

Yes, you are correct sir. Curt Powell from Farragut, top SS in the state. Too bad it doesn't count because this is a MID-state thread.. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  11. Germantown's defense will be hard to beat. They have four seniors that have commited to play at the next level and two will probably be drafted. Coach Nesbit has a great group this year. Don't ever count out Bartlett, Germantown, Houston, or Collierville.

who from germantown is goin d-1? and who is getting drafted? i doubt anyone's getting drafted because u have to be extremely good, and its not an everyday thing that people get drafted.

  12. i dont think curt powell and cade stallings played for the road warriors. to my knowledge it was only mac thoreson and jordan cooper who played for them. curt and cade have played for the yard as long as i can remember.

  13. Hey now the Ads are going to have the potential to be a very good team this year but I assure you they don't want that being said about them. Every team has to work for what they want at the end of the season and that's a fat ring. Including the Admirals. They don't believe they are better than anyone.

haha ya i know. i was just tryin to get the middle tn folk fired up. of course farragut doesnt think they're better than anyone, they have tommy pharr as a coach, and he won't let them think that way.
