  1. Thanks for the long winded replies but you still haven't convinced anyone. Sounds like a good politican if you ask me. Don't say it is made up of certain people, list the people involved and we as intelligent people can make the decision. CCH said the bowling proprietors gave out this award, I asked our owner..nope never been asked. So I called some of the other centers on the BPAA website and not one of them said they had ever been asked to be on the committee, so I would assume that only Smyrna and maybe Hermitage are involved, cause I know a certain coach is highly involved in the USBC. I spoke to one that sent me to their headquarters and they said they own a bunch of bowling alleys like 13 or something and according to them to their knowledge not 1 of them has ever been asked. They didn't even know the TBPAA gave out the award! Found it funny that TBPAA doesn't have a website and the phone number goes to the BPAA, maybe we're not suppose to know who makes up the TBPAA committee. So unless your willing to list who the committee members are after each year, you can't say it's not biased. Because it doesn't matter who you are you want your school, your region, your bowler to win and noone can turn that off just cause you say so. Your gonna vote for your buddies cause you might need their vote next year. Kelly you shouldn't even be on the committe considering the coach for 2 of the bowlers chosen works for you. So really there was no biased voting, that's about as real as me saying I bowled a 301. For Stephen or Aaron neither one to be one of the top 3 is unbelievable. Their accomplishments speak for themselves. Everyone in the state knows who they are, haven't heard of some of the other ones. J
  2. Not bashing any bowler just the hype for an award that is obviously based off a few opinions. You say it's the TBPAA okay who makes that up..oh wait it is the bowling alleys. I work for one and I asked. We don't get to vote, didn't even know they helped give it out maybe it's because we don't own like a hundred and don't have pull. So who on the TBPAA gets to decide? Doesn't anyone want to know who makes the decision? Are you all really that easy? If you told me you shot a 300 I want to see the ring. If you're telling me these are the 3 best high school bowlers then let me see how you decided it, cause I still say the 3 best are the 3 who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in individuals.
  3. What's it matter anyway? If you didn't realize it was a joke last year when they gave it to a sophomore over 2 seniors then you need help. Big surprise that Wilson Central is in both this year, especially considering their coach works for Symrna now. Symrna controls everything with the state tournament. Mr and Miss Bowler aren't even real TSSAA awards that is why they aren't posted on their website. If TSSAA thought they were real they would be posted with Mr. Football and Basketball. I wouldn't put stock in the Mr and Miss cause last year the girl who won individual's was only a runner up and Miss bowler didn't even make the top 6. The boy who won state wasn't Mr. Bowler either. So that tells you they didn't pick the best for the awards. Maybe they should wait and decide the winner after individuals then you really would have the best.
  4. Well it takes the high averages to make it to the individuals and if I'm not mistaken Scott finished in the top 6 last year, so apparently he can shoot on the sport shot. I don't know about the other 2 but if you know anything about bowling you can watch and tell how good someone throws the ball. Brandon is a good bowler and I'm not taking anything away from him but even the best can be beat and have an off season or game. It doesn't matter who pulls for who because whoever throws the better ball and gets the counts will win. I was just making a point that there are alot of great bowlers and sometimes they don't get mentioned on this site. I think state will be a good competition and I guess we'll just find out then.
  5. What about Scott Mclin from Hardin County. I've seen him bowl and he is really good. Probably carrying at least a 210. And who is that Chris kid from Hendersonville. Saw him shoot yesterday in Hardin County and he had to average at least a 220. Both appear to be awesome bowlers. And don't rule out Nick Clevers from White Station who shot a 299 yesterday. Great game and it should have been a 300. Know this isn't individuals but what about the Hendersonville girls, according to their Coach they were suppose to be the best this year. Hardin County beat the pants off of them yesterday and White Station also beat them.
