  1. Stats mean nothing at all? your record is a stat..... so does that mean nothing to you? are you saying that if centennial was o lets say 2-7 instead of 7-2 this game would still hold the same meaning and each team would still have an equal chance at winning the game? Stats are numerical proof of your teams performance and shows how good they have been in the season. The only reason you keep saying that stats mean nothing(which i agree with to an extent) is because the stats and evidence are all piled up against your precious Centennial football team. if it were the other way around and Franklin was on the lower side you would not be saying this stuff. But thats just the nature of all fans, no matter what it looks like before the game a fan of the team that might be considered the weaker of the two will come up with any excuse to give themself hope that their team might win..... so basically i understand that you need to rationalize your team's chances of winning by saying yall have gotten good breaks all year but do not say stats dont matter because if roles were reversed you would be using all the stats you could.....
  2. The Ravenwood game is iffy.... cuz like it has been proven all season they are inconsistent yes they beat good teams but that doesnt mean they are a week in week out power house.. and you do realize that the only evidence or support you have for Centennial to win this game is that they have gotten a couple good breaks this year to help them get to 7 wins so therefore they should somehow someway get a good break and beat Franklin on Friday..... personally i would rather have the stats on my side And just because you were trying to prove that you can throw out random stats does not mean you were attempting to be sarcastic.... and once again We all know games arent played on paper(we have heard it around 10 times from you alone) but like i said i would rather have the paper on my side....
  3. That was not a sarcastic reply by you, you were attempting to give yourself some little bit of hope that centennial has a chance in the form of stats... this is a true sarcastic response: Centennial has a well-proven/tested team this year and has a good chance of beating Franklin on Friday. Now that was the definition of sarcasm. And i can break down the sarcasm present in that sentence if you need any help CHS 2007.....
  4. ok centennial fans.... we understand that any team can win on any given night, we don't need history lessons from the NFL and we definently do not need someone to inform us that 62% is over half(but thank you for clearing that up because i personally was under the impression that half was equal to about 65%...), because we already know these things. Yes any team can win any given night.... once again this fact was proven when yall lost to PAGE. We understand that but like someone else said earlier, whats the point of pregame message boards if you guys don't want us to include stats from the season. There has been three or four Centennial fans that just keep saying stats don't matter... we understand it so there is no need to keep telling us that anything can happen... because the only reason you keep saying it is because the stats are so one sided favoring Franklin if it were the other way around you guys would be the ones listing off the stats.. thats just how sports and their fans are so get used to it.....
  5. "For what it's worth, I think this game means more to Centennial than it does to Franklin." I think that it means just as much to Franklin because like someone said earlier in this thread, none of the players on Franklin want to be on the first team to lose to Centennial. trust me that is a huge motivation for the FHS players to come out and play with the intensity to beat a region opponent.
  6. Last time I checked......Slight difference between Brentwood and Page and there is a difference between your fans saying your not supposed to lose to a equal opponent and your team losing to a team that in all honesty no one in this region should lose to.
  7. Quick Note: Both teams shut out Clarksville, Centennial's other shutout=Glencliff?; Franklin's=Ravenwood.... and when Centennial doesn't shut the team out the opposing team averages somewhere around 30 pts... so Centennial better work on that shut out because i still can't see Centennial scoring 30+ points on Franklin. And you weren't suppose to lose to Page......
  8. But look at the opposing part of Mid Tn's post and dont forget about the fact Franklin really has given up less than 10 points a game to those opponents, yes you might have been able to put up forty plus points aghainst the likes of Dickson County but Centennial will not be able to do that against Franklin's D who has only given up 21 points or more agaisnt Brentwood, McCallie and Hillsboro. Bottom line..... Both teams will score a lot of points most likeely but Centennial's defense will not be bailed out by their offense this game....
  9. and to add to MIDTN-- that average for franklin's D in those game is misleading it should be even better because in the independence game Independence scored all their 20 points in the 4th quarter against Franklin's reserves.... so Franklin's starting D only really averaged under 10 pts a game against those teams listed while centennial gave up was well over 20 pts. and yes Centennial will more than likely score more than 13 points but to say that Centennial's D will be able tostop Franklin's offense when they have a hard time stopping Dickson County's is a comnpletly ridiculous statement...
