  1. this isnt a political debate so who voted for who is completly irrelevant, and think about it.... atleast Franklin was in the Championship in 2004.... Oakland was at home.
  2. But back on topic..... This will be a great game and it will be focused on Franklin's D's ability to stop the big runnning plays from Oakland because from what i have heard their passing is mediocre at best(if im wrong please correct me) And another big focus will be Franklin's ability to take advantage of a mediocre pass defense that Oakland has(once again correct me if im wrong) but i do believe Mr. Footballl finaklist Graham Nichols will be able to exploit it whether its to Eaton, Kibler, Lee or Starnes doesnt really matter. Franklin in a close one
  3. BIg purple dawg?? you are so farr off, wilco fan = williamson county..... wildcats?? think before you post next time.... thanks
  4. Title of the Thread= Franklin vs Oakland........ stop talking about the announcers.... who cares, in case yall have forgotten there is a smalll game this saturday around 7 at MTSU which this thread is about so lets talk about that not announcers seriously its not gonna even play a role in the game saturday good lord its like all the posters are 7 yr olds with ADD....... STAY ON TOPIC
  5. im sorry but i watched his you tube video and i was not that impressed i just saw a bunch of lazy defenders on the other team not running to the ball every play...... he wont see any lazy effort out of the rebels this friday night..... and i hope WS can bring out a crowd cuz i know the Franklin side is going to be packed....
  6. Franklins D in my humble opinion has not given up a legitimate touchdown in the playoffs(HL=0, HV= fake FG, and one against third stringers, BW= triple reverse pass on third and long=lucky) i expect the trend to continue or atleast think that WS will have a lot of trouble putting up alot of points on a stout Franklin D
  7. Wow this was a great game and with a fantastic atmosphere. Franklin's student section kept it going all night staying loud and keeping their team up.... Franklins offense looked a tag off tonight but still found ways to score i think they had about four dropped passes from the wr/rb. a couple of those being on 3rd down plays that would have changed the game completly. but other than that Alex Ford once again proved he is a hoss who understands the concept of always keep your feet moving. one play he carried about 5 Bwood defenders for a bout 15 yards. On the opposite end...... Franklin's d played amazing again in what should have been a shutput in my opinion. Brentweoods offense although did find more success than i though they would considering they passed the ball one time before that last drive and that was a trip option passs. Bwoods QB is a great runner and gave franklin fits all night so good job to him he kept Bwood in the game. The triple otion pass was the only reason they scored because if i remember correctly that was a 3rd down and Franklin had 3 guys in the backfield, so take out that trick play and this is a shutout. and ok i was wondering about that keck too. Congrats to the rebs get ready for White Station..... coming into your house take cre of business....
  8. Even more of a reason that Franklin will come out even more prepared, more focused and more fired up for this game. They won't let the same thing happen two years in a row. And to say that this is not about revenge you must be crazy any game in this rivalry always has some ounce of revenge thrown into it..... Bwood player your right about these two teams being the best in the state......the other stuff im not so sure about though
  9. one comment...... you play with the cards you are dealt and you deal with the results so get over the zoning issue.... geez if you think about it there is prob a reason they have less kids there..... it isnt really the best learning enviroment in my opinion.... i mean think about it with all the violence, etc. Centennial has a dress code strictly as a result from a gang problem that could possibly have played into the zoning.
  10. Stop Acting like brentwood dominates Franklin, I agree bwoods d is alot better than Hville so that means they might keep the rebels below 35 points but idk. I seriously cannot see Bwood scoring a lot at all and im interested to see if Franklin capitalizes on their chance to avenge their one loss and even better do it on Brentwood's own turf...... Prediction: Franklin 28 Brentwood 10 Franklin's faithful storm the Brentwood field and allow the Brentwood fans taste the bitter taste of a season ending loss to your cross town rivals on your own turf...
  11. ok couple things, first off i personally cannot prove Yazzie guaranteed a win but what i had heard was he was interviewed and asked about the game and he said they would win.... i know this rumor to be true because i know that the Fanklin high football team used it as extra motivation.... secondly, i havent seen the tape but if my memory serves me Yazzie was in either both or one of the consecutive 50+ yard rushes that alex ford had.... and we ran it to his side each time either he wasnt able to get out of a block or he got beat to the sideline(mostlikely a combination of both. Yazzie is a good player he is a great player(when playing against his normal competition). his highlight reel was a lot of fun to watch. but idk who said it but someone said we couldnt contain Yazzie at all.... thats crazy. yes he did make some great catches ill give him that but he was completly shut down on punt returns and kick returns(he had a couple decent KR in the 2nd half against our backups though that made it to maybe the 40 yd line). But you cannot say he dominated because he did well in one aspect of his game when inevitably he plays four ways(PR,KR,D,offense) and his only success was catching the ball... he did nothing in any other aspect..... this is not an attack on Yazzie as i think he is a great player im just stating that Franklin shut him down. Next, it wasnt just not hendersonvillle's night if that were the case it would have been close.... what happened here was a weak region being even more exposed than they already were..... and i really do not think Yazzie has better college potential than Alex Ford but that might just be my opinion but i highly doubt it... Last thing, even if Hville scored on that one possesion making it 28-14 they are stilll down 2 TDs and they had yet to show any signs of stopping Franklin's running game so i doubt it would have effected much. Hvillle good job yall had a good season 10-2 is good no matter who you play. good luck next year and enjoy your offseason. Franklin get ready for some bruins
  12. correction you put an and where you should have had a =.... this is how it should read..... A Centennial Fan= a man lingering between retardation.
  13. Update:Franklin is no longer on the "No Child Left Behind" watch list or whatever....
  14. You are so far off calling my a centennial fan.... i was bashing the guy for making excuses after saying not to make excuses.... read the post at the end i just said good job cougars cuz we all know they most likely wont have another season like this for another 10 years(you know with that whole zoning problem they have over there?)
  15. ya i noticed the missed RBs in the flat but truthfully(in my opinion idk what he saw) it looked like Hville had those RBs well covered and the play would have turne out bad if the pass had been completed so it might have been intentional idk. but as for the TD pass it seems like Franklin has that same play open every single week....
  16. This game is going to be huge..... great atmosphere with both stands packed.... cant wait to be there. Look to see if Franklin allows Brentwood to have as much success running as they did in the past game. i dont think they will have anywhere near that much success Franklin's D has been playing stellar defense the past few games when it matters most still in my opinion have not given up a legitimate touchdown in 10 quarters.
  17. i think he only had 6 attempts according to the paper 4-7 for somewhere around 75 yards. ill take it in a game with weather that is anti pass. plus he didnt really need to pass at all although he did have a mistake(intentional grounding penalty). But stilhis throws were crisp and at the receivers for the most part. and even atleast one of those three incompletions was a drop. so id still say it was a pretty solid day with a lack of mistakes(no turnovers) and thats all you need with such a strong backfield.
  18. yes he did look good. Hville should be excited but i wanted to say that franklins RB at the end #2 Sean Dye(Sophomore) looked great against their starting D and FRanklin's already lethal backfield this year will be even more defiant next year.....
  19. He had success in the receiving game i agree and still dont understand why Franklin didnt just triple him every time since i think i saw two passes go to another player. but you were wrong in saying Yazzie would be the x-facctor you were wrong in talking him up so much for THIS game...... thats all im saying and your prediction but everyone is wrong with predictions occasionally so that doesnt matter. and as for the dangerous Offense i guess you meant the dangerous Yazzie cuz i dint see a single bit of life out of any other offensive player other than him other than i think it was #35 who ran the ball very well against franklins back ups.
  20. seriously? your blaming zoning after complainging about excuses..... GET OVER IT you play with the cards you are dealt thats how life goes. and would yopu be saying all this if you won? come on..... and congrats to the cougars on a great season. they truly did surprise everyone.
  21. i see you having to eat your words about Yazzie..... and everything else you were wrong about in those quotes and thank you.... yall played a good game as well and did a great job hosting the game.
  22. YOUR golden boy referring to how yall idolized him and made him sound so amazing... best summed up by midtnbaseball saying that in yalls eyes he was god.... and yes i agree the mullet post was pretty gay.
  23. o and Hville football this is your crow your quotes... Hendersonville plays hard and gets a repeat of two years ago. HHS- 21 FHS- 17 Coach Hatfield knows how to beat Franklin, don't worry about that. Doesn't matter if you KNOW how, players have to work hard and EXECUTE on Friday night. Most importantly though......get the ball to Yazzie. The big thing I saw from Franklin's D is they get tremendous pressure on the QB and the RB if he gets it. That may actually play into Hville's hand with their Wing-T and it's misdirection plays, they can catch an aggressive D in a bad position. I think the X factor in this game has got to be Yazzie (I know everyone is sick of hearing his name, but he really is that good), although it could also be those RBs from Franklin, ya'll got some hosses running the ball down there! Don't just think it's Yazzie though, the Commandos have a host of very good players that you gotta watch out for as a defense. Hall, Murrel, Armstrong, Hill, Stockwell, Harris, and Gray are a few that come to mind that have come up big when it matters most this season. Not to mention that big O-line that reminds me of Commando teams of the past, this is a dangerous offense with a lot of talent. Living legend.... (seriously) ..........
