Well first of all Congrats to Chatt Arts and Science for making it to the State. They well deserved it. The crowd was unbelievable on both sides, what an atmosphere we had last night. The boys from Chatt penetrate better than anyone we have played all year. They were much quicker than we were both on offense and defense. I do think we were ready to play and did so thru almost 3 qtrs. Stayed within 5-9 points until the bottom fell out in the 4th. CSAS turned it up a notch and scored 28 in the 4th. They only hit 3 shots from better than 5 feet away (all 3's by #10).We were only 9-22 from the line and they weren't much better at 17-32. All other baskets came off drive and dish combo's or put backs on offensive rebounds. The better team won last night but our guys have nothing to hang their heads down about. I too am proud of our team and hate to see it end this year (esp for Kyle and Cameron). But I do think with what I seen this year we will be back in this same game next year. Once again Congrats to CSAS on their win and good luck in the State!

Thanks Boarhog.......Hope Clay Co is red hot tonight and sends Lookout Valley back up I24 with their feelings hurt! And you are correct, we will be underdogs tonight and the odds are stacked against us but stranger things have happened. I hope Chatt A&S is over confident being ranked #1 in Class A and playing on their home court. By the way we have chartered a STUDENT bus so our students can be there with us.

Refs...refs...refs....whatever...we may lose in Chatt Monday but at least we are still playing while JC is sitting at home. Why don't you go watch the #1 team in D7A play tomorrow the CLAY CO BULLDOGS who were way better than JC....

Congrats to by friend Larry White and his D8A RBS girls for getting a ticket to the big dance. They draw a tough oppenent in Wayne Co but if Colter Painter and Jenkins are on they can win this game. Good luck RBS and make D8A proud....

Good gosh CRYBABY give it up on the refs, evidently you didn't take time out of your whining session to look at the film. Once you do you'll shut that trap up. You need to switch over to the girls board and talk about your girls going to the state instead of crying about your boys team that didn't have anything for that game except Godwin....thats all they had.......get a life!!!

You are correct the game will be played on a hardwood floor and not on paper!

I think both teams play the same uptempo game so it will be can we put the ball in the basket? The boys will be ready for this game so we will leave it all on the floor!

If we have any chance of pulling an upset we have to make our shots down low, hit a few from downtown and hit 80% + from foul line. Also the COACHES have to believe in the players and quit taking them out everytime they make a mistake. When you do that it affects the players ability to play the game.

Congrats to Clay Co for a hard fought game last night. These two teams are about as even as it gets. We had several chances to get on top by halftime but the short shots and follow ups just wouldn't fall. And Clay hit their PRESSURE free throws and we didn't. Congrats to Boles for getting MVP, he deserved it. Clay Co kept its adversity even after getting 3 T's called on them for just showing emotion...its a huge game and these kids get caught up in game situations and show some emotion on the whistle....but Coach Edwards did a good job of keeping them in control. Clay gets Lookout Valley at their place and we will travel to CSAS for another HARD game and place to win. Good luck to both teams!

Congrats to RBS and Larry White on a good season and wish them all the luck Saturday night. I hope Colter and Jenkins have a HUGE game so they can represent 8A in the state tourney. And also hope JC gets their win and represents 7A very well(despite Midtnsportsfan) . Maybe Region 4 will do good.

I see where CSAS is #1 in the class A poll here on coacht. they by far are the favorites. I don't think either one of us wants to make that trip Monday.Its hard on a team to travel 2-3 hrs and then play on someone's home court against a #1 team. Odds will be heavy against either team from Region 4A. Don't know anything about Lookout Valley except their record. Well if Sandoval (#22) plays like he did s Clarkrange we have a good hance Thursday. We have to contain Boles and rebound well. Cant wait til Thursday 7pm in H2O town. Where's all the people usually posting on here? Where u at Possumtownshady? Volzchamps?

Looks like our Region 3 opponents will be Chatt Arts & Science (26-4) and Lookout Valley (19-9).....Chatt A&S will be favored in this game, think they beat Lookout Valley by 20 last time. So it looks like this FCS/CC game will be very important with our loser probably going into a hostile environment at Chatt A&E.

Congrats to Clay Co and FCS on their victories last night. This should be a great game to watch. It could go either way depending on who steps up. We have to contain Boles, I know we can't shut him down but we have to limit him to touches and make him shoot the LONG 3 and hope he don't get hot!. We have to continue to play the tight D man to man that has carried us all season. Good luck to both teams and I hope we both get past MONDAY and leave both Chattanooga teams at home. We have 2 teams playing that can do that if we both stay focused. Clarkrange boys were tired at the end of the 3rd. Its hard to play only 6 players and not get tired from the full court man to man defense. Jones and the Henry brothers do a good job of controlling the press (along with #30) but just got tired. They are a good team and coached well just lack the depth needed down the stretch. My prediction is FCS 61 Clay Co 56

You are correct guys: We have played both Clay Co and Pickett Co. Lost at home to both and won on the road at both (go figure)...This will be a great game to watch IF Clay Co comes to play and I feel they will. Boles is tough but PC has been playing pretty good and on a mission......Toss up here PC wins on the free throw line late in game FCS hasn't played Clarkrange but I myself have seen them play JC in district tourney. They are like us in that they don't rely on one player to depend although they did depend on #15 (tallest player they have) to help beat the JC full court press. The brothers are pretty good ball handlers and if I can remember correctly that night both shot several 3's connecting on 2 apiece. This too should be a good game to watch but I feel we can come out on top if we play ball. FCS in a tight down to the wire game...

I don't work for the school system and I am not trashing Godwin. If you could read I said he was the best player in our region and the best we played all year. I was commenting on your post after post after post after post of the fouls. I said after watching the film that he would fall down on several of his shots trying to get the foul called and go to the line (where I might add he prob shoots 95%). That is smart if you can fool the refs but Saturday night he didn't............so don't get on here and say I trash the kids cause I don't and I have nothing to do with the FCS staff/system except I have a kid on the team and announce home games....And as far as talking trash if thats what you call it you are on top of the list big boy!!!

Again MIDTN get that film before you send it out...Watch it closely and you'll see several calls NOT called on JC as well as FCS. And as far as Godwin goes, I said it earlier he is the best player in our region but his only flaw is he likes to fall on every shot TRYING to get a foul called. And yes when the refs see all the fake falling they won't call the close ones!

Again I hate to see a grown man cry...get it straight FCS 30-42 and JC 17-21. Say what you want but we hit only 17-28 in the 4th when JC was down 7+ the whole qtr trying to foul to get back in it. You said you were sending the film to TSSAA, need to watch it first!!!!

I am making this last post and moving on. I would like to address MidTnsportsfan long post on the 10 point possession deal. I went back and looked at the film that we videoed and the so called 10 point possession happened with about 2:30 left in the game. Your memory is vague because we opened up the 4th qtr with a 5 point lead and after scoring the first points of that qtr NEVER trailed by less than 5 the rest of the game so it wasn't a one point game when all that happened. On top of that we were stalling the ball when #22 tried to cut thru 2 of JC players to pass the ball, contact was made but if any foul would have been called there it would have been on either of the 2 JC players because both fouled him. The ball went to #11 who was fouled, while that foul was happening JC#44 pushed FCS#22 from behind not only once but twice and then FCS#22 turned toward him and went and got in his face (which I don't blame him one bit) and then the 3rd shove came from #44 and the T was called. He actually should have been tossed but wasn't. So #11 goes to the line and hits his 2 foul shots from the foul and 1-2 of the tech shots (3 pts)...we take the ball out of bounds and pass it to #12 who was open for a layup and got creamed on a flagrant foul (not a block shot). He hits 2 foul shots giving us 5 pts total from the so called 10 point possession. We take the ball out of bounds again but a walking call was called on #11 on the inbounds pass. So your 10 point possession never happened you never were closer than 5 points in the 4th qtr most of the time it was 7-9. And as far as fouls go several more fouls could have been called on both teams in the 2nd half. There were 2-3 fouls called on JC that were late whistles and questionable calls in the 4th but there were also 2 no calls on JC crashing the boards on the offensive side that a blind ref could have called. Like someone stated in a previous post. FCS has several go to players and JC relies on Godwin to carry 90% of the load. He did carry more than his load in this game its just that the other 10% never happened.
