  1. Boyd-Buchanan is a solid baseball team. Baseball is about pitching and hitting. Pitching the bucs have 6 different pitchers with multiple wins. and 5 of those pitchers have at least 35 ks. Also the Bucs have a pretty solid line up. All though the long ball isnt everything 8 of the bucs regular starters have hit HRs this season and all 9 can hit the ball well. The Bucs have a solid pitching staff and line up and hopefully this is the winning formula. Good luck to all. Go Bucs!
  2. boyd ended up knocking the south pitt ace out of the game in about the 5th partially to the credit of back to back home runs by Mccalla and A. Crowe. The boyd team hits the ball very well. I expect a good and exciting game.
  3. the bucs finished the district 8-0. mercy ruling all teams at least once. District tournament starts monday for boyd and they play CSAS. This is the start to the most important part of the season.
  4. I think Boyd can get past District and Regions with the solid pitching staff and good hitting. But to go far they must clean it up in the field. Im sure coach will have them taking a lot of ground balls in the near future.
  5. the bucs would've been a solid AA team, and are a good A team in my opinion. The bucs have a solid pitching staff with 4 rightys and a lefty that throw around 80. and they hit the ball very well. the line up is solid from 1 to 9 and have about 7 players that have homered and 4 have multiple HRs this season. as long as they keep their heads on straight they will be a tough A team to beat.
  6. Watch out for the Boyd Bucs. After moving down from a tough AA district (Split with Polk and Lost in district semi's to McMinn Central) they should be tough. Should breeze through the district but have a tough region (marion,LV, and South Pittsburg). The Bucs return 8 seniors, including District Pitcher of the Year and Best of Preps pitcher Andrew Crowe. Also Co-District Player of the year and twin brother Matthew Crowe. Also 3 other All-District players. This team has a good line up 1-9 and a solid pitching staff. Don't sleep on the Bucs.
  7. i do not know what the brackets look like but i'd guess the bucs will probably end up playing central some time in the district tourney
  8. i always follow the bucs in the paper, they cant expect to win with 3 hits and and 4 errors. i assume the allen kid pitched lights out for polk to hold the bucs to 3 hits
  9. the bucs play polk tomorrow for 5 AA(South) championship basically. the bucs already lead the series 1-0
  10. wilson central sounds like the bucs with the errors. the box score shows that the bucs jumped out to a 3-0 lead. yes they are loaded with speed and potential power
  11. yes the bucs must have swung the sticks pretty well. i did read they put up 38 runs in those 4 games against 4 good AAA teams. Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central are 1 and 2 in their district and the same with Soddy and red bank. theres no way you can win a game with 4 or 5 errors but the offense will carry them threw some tough games
  12. i hear the bucs can really swing the sticks. their only losses so far have been to state tourney Marion county and mccallie. they will be tested this weekend in a tourney playing red bank, mt. juliet, soddy, and wilson central. if they can play with these guys they may be the real deal. good luck bucs! i'll be followin you guys in the paper
  13. even though i am a buc way to go marion. we did not lose this game ourselves, you took it from us. we can't expect to win big state playoff with 6 turnovers. you made plays. heck of a game warriors. bring the region the state crown
