  1. There is not a person that was at that game last night that knows a thing about football that would say that WH has any reason to celebrate. They were beat, the refs won them the game. But you cant blame the kids for taking advantage of what was handed to them. I look at it this way we no longer have a chip on our back to stay undefeated and it's only going to make us play harder next week. The only game that really counts in in three weeks anyways.

I really hate you guys lost. I wanted us both to be 9-0 when we meet for game 10. With White House having an off year, I was a little surprised.

  2. Personally I think Coach Trapp now has Dekalb County set up where they will have winning seasons pretty much every year. Granted some years will be better than others, but I just dont see them having anymore 2 or 3 win seasons. Every blue moon he may have some down years with 5-6 wins but I dont believe that will happen much. Things are in place for Dekalb County to be playoff contenders yearly aslong as Steve Trapp is headcoach. Hopefully nobody takes this the wrong way and think im saying Dekalb will be world beaters every season because im not. I just think he can have the success of like Smith County with winning seasons and playoff births.

I couldn't agree more. I also have to say that the whole county has gotten behind our Tigers and helped promote our football program. I'd name names but there's just too many to mention. We love our coaches, our football cheerleaders, our band, and especially our hard-working players.

  3. Troll. You do realize that SM is set-up for a early start to round ball don't ya? That Childress man can twist that Pod dial ever so slightly and at best you would have to go through Greeneville. One click to the right and you have to go through Greeneville and Giles. You cannot beat the Devils and their staff and Giles will thump you. Dekalb would also. ph34r.png

Hey Wise. I'm fast becoming a big fan of yours. Thanks for the mention. Maybe Giles and DeKalb can bump heads in the playoffs again. Good luck this season and hope your boys stay healthy.

  4. We scrimmaged Livingston tonight, but I don't know how it went. I had to be at Jr. Pro football practice.

One thing I do know is JT Swaim, a senior player, who would've been a three year starter, tore his MCL and ACL against Dekalb. He will be missed on the field, but I hope his leadership will still be there.

    We scrimmage Cascade Thursday.

Hey Croz. I never heard how G'ville's scrimmage with Livingston went. Do you or any others have any input on the game?

My heart stops whenever any of the boys don't get up after a play, don't matter who's team they are on. Best wishes to your player that got hurt.

Good luck to you guys this season. I'd sure love to see a neighbor hold up that gold ball this year.

  5. DeKalb hosts Warren Co for the first game of the season. I've heard Warren Co expects to head home with a win. With the outstanding pre-season success of our Tigers, I don't see it. Of course, no one knows a lot before the first game, but what does everyone else think? Let's hear your predictions.

    Go Tigers!

  6. Saw on their website that DeKalb is scrimmaging Gordonsville this Friday. Anybody know how Gordonsville is shaping up for this season? In the past, they have always put together a good team. That should be good preparation for DeKalb.

  7. Yes you are right Dekalb hasnt played anyone all year. Coach Trapp had to schedule easy teams so his teams record looks good. That's what he is all about. He is not the Coach Trapp of his beginning days. This Tiger Team has some pride. From what i can recall white county could be able to knock them off and if they do it will derail the season for the tigers. Because there players will shell up and then lose to smith have back to back loses and there goes there season.

    Dekalb County wins 20 - 10

  8. An historic win at Warren County was a great way to start the season. I agree, there were too many dropped passes, missed tackles and some useless penalties but that's what weekday practice is for. This game could have easily been a 35-0 shutout. Tigers will only get better and stronger. Congrats to Coach Trapp, his staff and our mighty Tigers for a well deserved win.

  9. dekalb coaches and players believe this is the worst warren co football they have seen, all talk points to players believing warren co is really bad, delalb wont be able to run so they will throw the ball to Molander and Taylor #1 and #24 respectively, warren offense is terrible according to new Defensive coordinator for dekalb, according to most players talk and beliefs I have DeKalb 33 Warren Co 14

Dekalb won't be able to run the ball? I guess we shall see.
