Bulldog50, I'm sure Hampton's bread and butter will be the run, but it really makes it alot easier to run if you are a threat to pass the ball. With Ward and Jones, you have the ability to keep defences honest. These 2 boys bring speed and quickness, that was the only thng Hampton was lacking in. but when its all said and done, Hampton will only go as far as the linemen will take um, Football starts on the line. Hampton should be very solid in that department.

Why would he not want to play? Hill is on a very good team that is going to be awesome the next few years and he is going to be a key player on this team. I don??™t see how you could call yourself a Hampton fan if you get on here and try to encourage a player to quit on the team because they are not getting the basketball every trip down the floor. People making dumb statements like that is what makes kids disrespect the coaches. They hear fans complaining contently even when the team is successful and I think if you asked Hill if he wanted the ball more I would bet anything that he would tell you he could care less as long as the team wins. As for the guards, they are playing awesome right now and they give 100 % every night out and it??™s crazy to down grade any player when they are playing hard and playing well. I just don??™t understand what you could possibly say bad about the two guards the last two games unless you??™re just jealous. They put the team into a position to win mostly every night. Take those two guards off the team and tell me how many wins the dawgs have this year.

U got admit, shooting 20% is not acceptable at all. A certain guard needs to get his head up and look up the floor for others instead of just ward. This guard may score 15 to 20 points a game, but shooting thirty times is not acceptable. Thats just wat i and others see.

The past 14 meetings backing to 2002 the series is tied 7-7 so no one has really owned anyone. And some "sophomores" hampton has plays basketball year round therefore they have an advantage.Mostof elizabethton's players play more than one sport. Don't use sophomores as an excuse. I have read yall have 2 of the best sophomores in the state so quit whining like babies and stink up that yall lost. Also if nathaniel(hughes) didn't transfer from etown y'all wouldn't have him anyways. I'm as neutral as they get and i'm an alumini of elizabethton.I see things fairly and it shouldn't matter what"grade"you're in and i agree with elizabethton having more experience than hampton but thats not always the case. And about football yall had to drop a class to have success. If elizabethton dropped down we'd be up there with maryville and alcoa. But we're not so y'alls football program is not that great but it is good. I have watched them play and i admit they are good. But back to basketball get over yourselves and move on. IT'S JUST A GAME!!!!!

Hampton was beaten by 5. Miller hit a layup as time ran out to push the lead to 5. I don't remember the exact score. I thought the Dawgs played very good this game. Lyle played awesome for the Devils. I think he had 25 and Miller had 18. If Hampton played like this every game, there are not many teams that could beat them in the area. But when you shoot 50% from the foul line against a good team, you make it very hard on yourself. If there is such a thing as a "good" loss, this was it...

Yea. Our girls are still playin tonight so..... i guess.

They also have TALENT in the sophmore and freshmen class. I can't wait to see what the group of Ward, Hughes, Jones, Hill, T.J. Lyons, Justin Lyons, Trussler, and Hornsby can do 3 years from now. It is going to be fun to watch Hampton basketball these next few years...

Yea we did great together when we were in 7th and 8th grade and did wonders! I think we can do the

outside of bentley, ward and hughes were, BY FAR, the best 2 players the dogs had last year and they were only freshmen. if the dogs don't have any better senior leadership than they had last year, they will be hurting. i dont think this year's team will be as good as last year's, but they will definately not underachieve like the team last year...

Chesnie is doing really great. She went back to the doctor yesterday and she was released to give basketball all she's got, so yesterday was her first full practice day. The doctor's had her on restricted practice, which was allowing her to shoot only. Her dad and I would like to Thank everyone for all your prayers and thoughts and calls, GOD allowed her a good surgery and a fast recovery. Again, Thanks everyone for remembering Chesnie!!!

Well that is a great blessing from GOD that she come through that great and was able to practice.
