As we approach spring practice one thing is for sure. Independence made a mistake by opening the season with Blackman with the way things are fallen apart there. Rumors has it that Coach Dyson is more concerned about the lockout than his team because no Titans means no paycheck for him from the radio. Not to mention just today my son comes home from school and tell me that three football players were in the locker room smoking weed and got caught. Amazing to see considering all the coaching offices are right there. Great hire Dr. Campbell. One word of advise hire coaches with resumes not ones that hang out with you on the weekends. The coach you have on your staff that has any knowledge about football is Coach Gates. He has seen the program grow and would have been a great head coach to lead these Eagles not someone who is living off the name the Music City Miracle. As I sit in the stands last year and complained about the defense looking like they put together their game plan from The NCAA Football, now I sit in this parent meeting a few weeks ago and listen to Coach Dyson say we are going to have a mom clinic to teach us about football. I am wondering if I can teach it because none of these coaches can. Parents just pray with me as we will go through another loosing season unless someone cleans house at Indy and hire a new principal and coach because as we know Coach Dyson is only a puppet in the position and Dr. Campbel calls the shots. I hope someone can respond realisitically and tell me something different because I see disaster in front of us.

Hold on now with this post. It's well documented and stated that I'm not a fan of Dyson , he is a horrible coach, and I asked how someone with 3 years of coaching recievers and d.b. get a head coaching gig, let alone the A.D. job

Taco, good question but I going to pass on an answer because every coach does it differently and I wouldn't want a parent to judge their coach on how I handle those situations; but trust me after 27 years of High School football I have had my share of upset parents.

okay, no secret I was upset with the hiring of Kevin Dyson as the AD and the head football coach - I know the school makes the call but I was surprised on how fast he becasme an AD let alone a football coach....

He made some big blunders last year... He may turn out to be a great coach in time and he may be a great person but................ any comments ?

Matt Kuivenen from Franklin. Stands around 6'3" and has a cannon of an arm. He also is very smart and can make all the right reads. He has been a great player for the Rebels.

How can an athletic diector at one high school also be a football coach at a different high school when these two schools are on each others football schedules?

 

Even if it is possible according to rules or regulations, does it seem right? Has this ever been done before?

If you are not Coach Eubanks then please quit denying you are not him. The only reason I keep posting is because you keep denying you are him.You say you are not responding anymore to my posts but you can not help but keep replying. There is no way anybody could know so much about what is going on the inside if they were not on the inside.I will make a promise that I will not comment anymore if you will never mention Coach Eubanks again.

I would love to speak freely, but with all that taco, powercat, border patrol, and several others are saying I think I'll stay quiet for now.

Airraid , I am on your side and I hope I am wrong with my take on Dyson , but I really don't see it.. I know all coaches need to start somewhere but he never put any quality time as a coach ie as a offensive or defensive cord yet he lands a job at one of the best regions in the state..... did u look at the schedule this year.

Look your rah rah speech was lovely, but let's get real here.... I played all the games you suggested so I know how to play by the booster, parent, role...if I may my son played for coach pat at Northwestern so save me the speech....

Dyson was way over his head last year. Yes it was his fiesta year but you are gravely mistaken if you think things will soar at Indy in the future..

Talent wise team is down,throw in Rector at CHS,Summit raiding some players, Franklin and Brentwood reloading like normal, very tough non region schedule and most importantaly Dysons lack of coaching skills you better buy a lot of tshirts and hot chocalate to support the coffers at Indy.

Dyson ,token coaching at Fra as reciever coach,mostly part time at that,some other minor stints elsewhere,mind you none as an ocord or dcord.

Yet his love affair with top brass at Indy gets him the AD job and head coach job over Webb and a few others.....

If you are a fan of the Eagles then buy your season tickets; support all the fundraising events that go to help the team, wear your blue and green/gold with pride, be positive with the kids, encourage them to do theair best, and sit in the stands on Friday night giving them the support they deserve after going through 9 months of lifting, running, conditioning, etc so that they can play the great game of High School Football.

Lebanon's Jessep Polk is likely one of the most unknown top players in Middle Tennessee. the 6'1" 195 lb. catcher/outfielder transferred from ECS in Memphis prior to his 2010 Junior Season. He was the starting catcher at ECS his Freshman and Sophomore years, however was selected All District 9 AAA as a Center fielder his Junior year at Lebanon. He hit .406 with 4 HR, 2 triples, 5 doubles, and 30 RBI. In the summer he split the catching duties for the 18U Franklin Outlaws and played some outfield.

i love i heard this and i have a friend whom knows this --- whatever whatever whatever YOU DONT KNOW !!!

Let me preface this post by saying that I realize that players, fans & coaches might read this. In no way is it meant to disparage, belittle or hurt anyone. My son plays for H'ville and my hackles would be raised if someone dogged him specifically on a 'net board. Unless he did something to embarrass the school & unfortunately, our family. Then, I think we can all agree, his butt would be in a sling when he got home! I'm new here, I thought I'd get that straight first. It's merely my opinion/observation. With that said...

 

Ridgeway has some amazing talent. I don't think I've ever seen that many super-fast dudes on one team before. But I saw a lot of lazy blocking & poor execution Fri night on their part. Heck, if I was used to the RB hitting the corners & streaking down the field all season long I might get a little lazy too. But it cost them this time, big time. Special teams were a disaster for them. That lonely kicker didn't have a chance on some of those plays. Was it because the line grew complacent in not having to hold their blocks 'cause of the speedy dudes? I don't know. Our D stunts aren't rocket science, I think this one falls squarely on the coaches shoulders. Back to the kicker. Vanderbilt has an excellent kicking camp in early June. Send him to it. You can thank me next Fall!

 

 

 

H'ville plays as a team. THAT'S the difference, in a nutshell, from other teams. I'm tellin' ya, you might think you got it goin' on but Coach Hat & his staff have some sort of juju that, if bottled, would bring big bucks. Their cohesiveness is simply amazing. It reminds me of a team from my youth in Alexandria, VA. T.C. Williams. Of Remember The Titans fame. I was a Freshman in the stands (only JV & Vars dressed out) and these guys were a MACHINE. Hayfield Hawks got owned & we had some individual talent. Didn't stand up to a concerted team effort though. THAT will beat individual talent every time. See Ridgeway/H'ville score.

 

Sorry for the long rant about Ridgeway, HC had some incredible talent also and played much more as a TEAM. It's just that RW was the uppermost in my mind.

 

Get your bleachers fixed. Take up a sheetmetal donation or something before you get sued.

 

Make H'ville the underdog, they thrive on it. Adversity brings them even tighter together. The student body/fans/parents/team are united. 12th man indeed. See ya'll at the State Championship! GO COMMANDOS!

YES HVILLE plays like a team - and for the last decade go look at how mid tn teams did versus west tn teams (almost complete domination )

Actually Red Warrior, I think all posters like and enjoy QBPrez 100%, but the big issue is with a man (YOU) that tries to sound important on a website which truly makes him look pathetic. You were asked to share your identity several times, but you were scared to do so. So instead of me leaving this site, you read your post, take your advice, and stop posting.

 

RollingRed - different groups playing that 4 - 3 make it difficult to defend the midline, plus coverage plays a huge roll in option defense. I am so surprized the Red Warrior did not mention this in his posts!

 

Lastly, Red Warrior claims he knows it all, fact: Biggest issue in Montgomery County is not only coaching turnover rate, but student turnover rate due to the army. Plus rezoning every 2 - 3 years does not help, and not having Middle School football is the major issue. Unlike a County School, these Clarksville Schools face many more issues year in and year out than the Paris Community. Some of our students worry from day to day when or if Daddy, Mom, or Both will be coming home alive. You don't know what you think you know, and please stop while you are a head!

Very well. Lets hope everything works out for the best. I'm also very happy to see Liberty back on the schedule, that is turning into a pretty good rivalry. And I do think it will be beneficial for HC to see a team like Beech, even if it is early in the season. And northeast looks to be an improving program. Whoever the interim coach is should definitely keep his job and should be praised for the job he's done this year. What they were able to do in this postseason was very impressive. I agree that they are important to this district, and I'm glad to see they will still be with us for awhile.

Playing in your weak division gives you a false sense of security, and for the most part you dont face teams that are at you level... The teams in wico, sumner and rutherford for the most partbeat up each other week to week within thier divison - look at Smyrna they put ENSWORTH and BRENTWOOD on the playlist -
