Brentwood 68 Franklin 64 Great shooting night for Brentwood David Hood 21 Tiechman 22 Franklin got 22 from James Haddix, 12 from Reed Glover Brentwood controlled the slow tempo and was up by like 15, Franklin started pressing and cut it to 2 with like 10 seconds, Hood iced it with 2 free throws Have to hand it to Brentwood, seemed to control the game from start to finish. If it ends in a 3 way tie, who gets number 1 seed?

Should be an instant classic! Thoughts?

Don't know why you have to go there? Haddix is 6'8 and plays basketball for Franklin, who is in D-11 AAA, and that is the thread we are posting under. Vicoria secrets doesn't have anything to do with this subject. You can say bad things about Franklin, but when questioning players heart, that they choke, or they are soft, is taking it a little close to over the line. These are HS kids. Not sure what your problem is? but I did edit the post about the "dork" comment so that should suffice. It mostly has been friendly banter until you arrived. As far as calling Indy/Franklin rivalry, I think Indy needs to win a few to label it a "Rivalry"??? Franklin drills Ravenwood 66-50 without the full services of Haddix and Miller-Mac, but I am sure to Indyeagle09 beating Ravenwood is no big deal, even though they just won at Brentwood. Oh, Peyton Henry, who IndyEagle fan bashes, had 17.

I'm way past worrying about me being a dork or not! I have a wife, a nice life, and other things to worry about. This "Indyeagle09" guy started bashing kids I follow and keep up with. Getting accepted to South Western Pulaski State Tech is not that big of a deal.

Franklin cruised passed Hillwood last night 76-46. Michael Young led the way with 20 pts and James Haddix finished with 12. Franklin nailed 8 threes on the evening which was nice to see from a fans standpoint. Maybe the "shooting slump" is over for the Rebels and they can get on a roll. Peyton Henry had 3 bombs and Young finished with 2 from beyond the arch. The starters didn't play much in the 4th quarter and Franklin still won very easily. It looked like their defensive intensity was ramped up a few notches. I heard some fans even tallking about it looked like the Rebels had some "life tonight". For all the smack talk bashing the Rebels lately, remind me, who is in first place???? FRANKLIN

Franklin 19-5 (6-2)D-11AAA This week Hillwood & @ Ravenwood Franklin, Brentwood, and Independence all have 2 league losses. They all play each other 1 more time. Besides Haddix and Young, Franklin has struggled to find that third scorer lately. Although D-Mac did have a 20 pt outburst last Friday. Miller-McLemore, Henry, Starnes, or Glover have to provide Franklin with that third scoring threat or teams will continue to face guard Young and double team Haddix. Not saying they have to score 20, but Franklin wins games when the box score goes something like..... Haddix 17, Young 14, Henry 11, Glover 9, Miller-Mclemore 9, Starnes 8, and then add some from the bench.... On a positive note, I think James Haddix is headed for ALL-DISTRICT AND ALL REGION post season awards. He had a nice drop step slam and 14 points against Drew Kelly. Not bad for a first year starter. In my opinion, Kelly is under-rated nationally; what he did to Jon Hood in KY was unreal. (Hood is a top 150 player) In 6 years, this is the first time Jay Johnson has lost to Brentwood or Centennial,,,,simply amazing. Hopefully Franklin can roll off 6 wins in a row heading in to the tourney, we all know that #1 seed heading in to the Regions is a HUGE advantage!

Did not know this had turned in to a comedy thread. Independence fans talking trash about basketball, football, and baseball. Okay, whatever? On Franklin Bad News; they have lost 2 district games in the same season for the first time in like 5 years. Good News; they are still in first place in the district. We still have FHS @ BHS, INDY @ FHS, and some other interesting second matchups. Franklin has spoiled us. If Jay J. and his Rebels don't sweep the district and the tourney then all the fans think it's a dissapointment. The run they have had is pretty unbelievable when you think about it. So now they've lost a few. Maybe this will help them? Maybe Franklin wins the district tourney. Maybe the seniors now realize that it's almost coming to an end. We know Franklin will have a say in D-11AAA and the Region. Maye people doubting them and bad mouthing them is just what they need!

Much deserved credit goes to Centennial. I think that's Centennial's first win over Franklin in like 4 years, Bwood had their first win over Franklin in like 6 years. Franklin fans can only hope the Rebels' seniors find a way to climb out of this ditch they are playing in. Something seems out of sync on offense right now. Haddix is steady but the guard play seems very inconsistant. If Young only nets 6 the Rebels will have a tough time beating anybody. Big game by Miller-McLemore scoring wise, one has to think if he scores 20 that Franklin would win easily. At some point Franklin must become a feared opponent once gain, right now it seems if though any district team has a shot. Not sure if this is attitude or offensive execution on the wings? Anybody have thoughts on the Rebels' recent struggles? Looks like coach Jay J. has a tough coaching assignment ahead of him.

I thought this was a basketball thread? Why are grandfathers being mentioned? What's that all about? Franklin got beat bottom line. They waited too long to turn it on. I was talking to someone and I think this is Jay Johnson's first loss to Brentwood, coach Jay J has been at FHS like 5 or 6 years, so get off his back for losing 1 reg season district game in the last 2 years. I'd like to see other district 11 records vs Franklin since Jay J has been at FHS.
