IndyEagle09 - I'm curious as to why you call him Jay instead of Coach Johnson like everyone else? I do find it interesting how you say HE choked. The Franklin players gave the game away to Ravenwood. Ravenwood wanted it more! Ravenwood deserved it! You cannot coach HEART. The Rebels have to find that for themselves. They played the second half of Tuesday nights game with NO HEART AND NO INTENSITY! If they don't bring those 2 key elements Saturday then they will not win and again..they won't deserve to win.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if Indy defeats Centennial then the Cougars are out and would not be in the finals. So for your prediction to happen....Centennial must beat Independence and then Franklin to reach the finals and Brentwood must beat Ravenwood and Hillsboro to reach the finals.

So predictions for Thursday???? I'm going to go with Independence over Centennial and Ravenwood over Brentwood.

Anyone know anything about the "altercation" last night between a Hillsboro player and the Ravenwood coach?

Goal tending is not the correct term. A Franklin player shot a half court last second shot which appeared to be on target and another Franklin player went up to tip the ball in but time had expired. Of course, it's hard to tell how "on target" the shot was when it came from half court.

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to talk about McMillan's behavior Friday night. The thing tho...it wasn't just him. He's just the one that got caught. I have no doubt he was the ring leader. The shoulder nudging when Franklin came into the gym was one thing.....The 2 handed "mosh pit" pushing is another! Is this the common warm up intimidation tactic for the Burros? The thing that bothered me the most about the whole incident was that their coach DID NOTHING ABOUT IT!!! He didn't bench them for a game! He didn't sit them for a quarter even! HE DID NOTHING!!! He actually watched it happen and didn't even fuss at them! NOTHING!! That is the difference between Coach Thweat and Coach Johnson....if a Franklin player would have pulled a stunt like that he would have been sent to the locker room to change. Poor coaching there Coach Thweat! Apparently winning at any cost is your philosophy. Good luck with that!

Ok I was going to stay out of this one but this just really struck a nerve with me. I think part of the problem with high school students or kids in general these days are that their parents feel everyone should baby them. Your son is a high school basketball player! If he's sitting on the bench then he is at least a sophmore so 15 or 16 years old.....are you seriously expecting Coach Johnson to single him out and boost his ego. Seriously? Do you think Coach Johnson took Michael Young aside for daily pep talks? What about Peyton Henry or James Haddix? Coach Johnson is a teacher and a basketball coach...not a self esteem therapist. Do I believe coaches should motivate their players? Of course...but just because his tactics of motivation aren't the same as your tactics of motivation doesn't mean they are wrong!

You can make all the excuses you want to for the coaching staff but me and you both know whats going on and its wrong. ........Oh please....DO TELL!

I don't think anybody can answer your question and I don't understand it either. Why would you change a lineup that was winning. My five starters would be: G- McLemore G- Pace G- Llittle F- Nelson F- Mathews But it really doesn't matter what I say because I am not the coach, but I do think something needs to be changed so the Rebels can get back to their winning ways. Can't wait to see how Franklin does tonight at Centennial. Just curious what your reasons would be for starting Little over Kibler?

An inexperienced high school team that is self taught...what a concept. I knew someone would take this the wrong way. With all due respect to Coach Johnson, these boys have a desire to play the game and are not burned out. They respect him and have nothing to lose. Get ready for a tough weekend of basketball.
