  1. Wow, what a game! Clarkrange was down by as much as 20+ in the 3rd quarter and hats off to them, they never gave up and really made it a game late. Clarkrange was double teaming Hensley and were really trying to keep the ball out of Coe's hands. Our guards really hit some big 3 pointers.

Yes the 3 pointers where a big reason of the out come. I just don't understand how many 3's a team has to hit before the other team steps up and starts defending the shot.
  2. Watertown's boys have been ranked in the state most of the year. With only 5 teams in their district, yes they were 100% going , should have been addressed before the year. Now tonight JC has to drive an hour and Clarkrange like two hours to play each other again . Just don't make sense.

Amen to that bob77, it does not make a lick of sence considering both teams are from District 7A.
  3. Im from LA so I don't have a dog in this fight but my .02 is this: The schools of the hosting Region get to pick where there going to be played. Just like JC, PC, Crange choose to have it at LA on a netural court for all teams. Even though they all come to LA once a year during the regular season. Why not do the same down there and just agree to move it to a netural site? Smith Co. is right there and has a 3x bigger gym than any school in your region. This region is having the same problem that 8-AA had a few years ago trying to cram 5 teams fans into one small gym in Baxter at Upperman High School. The way it sounds if there was ever a fire or emergency where you are playing a lot of people could end up getting hurt before you could get everybody out or rescue crews in if your blocking the street.. I know the hosting school is supposed to be able to handle a certain number of fans to be able to host and I'm wondering if these numbers are way to small for the fan bases around here. Also I think that it's stupid that if one region is completely put out of the tourny after the first round that the other District has to travel two hours still to go play the games instead of bringing it back home. LA boys are in the same boat. I could rant on for a while more but ill leave it at this: The TSSAA needs to get there act together and get things straighten out and stop worrying about how much money they are going to make at the expense of what its costing the schools. They need to have some sort of responsibility for there officials, and make sure that playing areas are adequately large enough, and teams are not having to travel 2 or 3 hours for no reason.

Good Job LA_Wildcats you spoke it well!
  4. How does everyone see this one going? Both teams really had to battle to win their semi-final games. Gonna be a great game!

JC had a bad game against FC don't think i have ever seen them play so out of sync as they did that night, and crange probably played one of there best games against Gordonsville the other night, so i really think if both teams repeat the same way of play tomorrow night it will be a upset for JC, but like always Coach Brown always has things together when playing Crange, so i really would not want to call this game until its played, good luck to both teams on the journy to the tourny at the glass house.
  5. Yeah they got beat by the better team tonight. JC has owned Clarkrange the last two times they've played. I still believe they are a good team but JC just seems to have their number right now.

yeah i think jc is just now playing at the top of there game, would not be a bit suprised when they upset clay county tues night.
  6. Must be nice to have schools close by that a player can just move maybe 4 or 5 miles or not much farther to go to another school just to play ball..Lake Co has to play players in their town..No schools close by to pull a great player from...Places like Dyer Co ., have other schools close by like Gibson Co.,Dyersburg,Halls..within about a 20 minute drive that can get players to come there as freshmen..all legal..Most smaller schools don't have that luxury..Lake Co may not make the State this year but I'd just about bet if they do..it's with girls from Lake Co..It's going to keep happening..Lake Co has lost several athletes to other schools throuout the past several seasons..Lake Co has probably lost a couple chances at winning a couple state championships in girls basketball and in football had players that lived in Lake Co played ball there..I have no problem with a player playing at another school if he moves..But Lake Co has had several players live in Lake Co and drive 20 miles away to play for another school and then drive back home..I believe you should at least have to play for the school you are zoned..Even as a freshman..If you want to play for another school..then move..Same in Memphis..If you live in the zone for Melrose..Go to Melrose..The TSSAA letting these players go to any school as freshmen are wrong..I have no problem with a player going to Clarkrange from York or anywhere else as long as a move is made..Just don't think they should live in another school zone and play at another school as freshmen..

C-Range and York are both in the same county, so i don't see why it should be a big issue as to where kids play ball and get their education. If the athelectic department was not so political as York maybe players would stay their and play, but i must say it all depends on what your last name is or who you are related to, to play at York. I think Yorks girls ball teams started going down hill after Lee Linder resigned from the position as coach. And as for the Storie girl that is a JOKE

  7. Thats where you are wrong people do make a big deal of it other places, but it is a bigger deal in that situation because it seems to happen more frequently. This is the second transfer in two years for c-range and jackson county the year before that. It is not right nor is it fair to other schools in the state. If my memory serves me right c-range had two twins that came from york and won a state championship. People say things when ever and where ever this happens but even if they didn't it isn't right.

Hmm lets see i think your memory has went blank on this one C-range has never had two twins transfer from york and won state championships , but now jackson county has i think you got your wires crossed just a little

  8. Not sure if I can post this here..if I am in the wrong area please feel free to move.

I am looking for individual summer camps for my 8 year old daughter. I have searched the web but came up empty. It can be co-ed. We have several parents of younger children that are interested. If you know of any please let me know.

check your local newspapers most of the time they advertise

  9. I agree with everyone of you who have said CR is the best team in the state, then again, they should be, they've RECRUITED from several counties within the state!!! If they only played the girls that grew up and lived within the community most of their lives like most other teams, CR would be an average team!!!

ok you need to evaluate what you just posted about recruting from several counties in the state cause your facts don't even esist. you are totally out of your league, and you mat reply to this if you want to but i will not respond back cause i'm no little kid and i don't play games. hope you don't lose too much sleep over clarkrange winning the state championship with a 39-0 record. TTFN

  10. Not that I am one to say I told you so but according to my post way back in December....

    I TOLD YOU SO!

Should be a WILD ONE in Watertown on Thursday night! Better get there early!

I like my Dawgs' chances to HOST our Sub-State game!

    What about everybody else? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

i watched both games tonight, and not taking anything away from a good team like clay county, i will have to say if crange plays thursday the way they did tonight and clay county plays the way they did tonight will have to give it to crange clay didn't play sharp but crange played a awesome 3 quarters see you all at the game good luck to both teams !!

  11. Curious too see who you guys are picking....imo, district 7A is much stronger this year, but 8A may gut out some wins....

Clarkrange vs. Trousdale (Clarkrange by 40)

Jackson Co. vs Westmoreland (JC by 25)

Pickett Co. vs. Friendship (Pickett by 7)

Clay Co. vs. Gordonsville (Celina by 10)

A new season begins..what do you guys think?

Gordonsville and FCS are very capable of advancing. Pickett Co. may be a darkhorse to get to Murfreesboro?? I hope Clarkrange comes ready to play.

you got 1 and 2 right from 7a but i'm afraid 3and 4 from 7a could go down friday night will be hard to say till the horn sounds after 32 minutes of play
