  1. I hope we have a big turn out Friday night, and everyone should feel welcome. We are all neighbors and fans of high school football if from across the bridge or from across the plateau. As for the outcome, I for one will be pulling for the hometown boys, but I fully realize that Fulton has a heck of a team. Kids are playing the game so anything can happen and probably will. Let's all pray for the safety of these kids as the winner moves on and the beats and bangs of a long season really take a toll on these kids.
  2. I have really been encouraged by the friendly and even supportative banter back and forth on this one. I am really looking forward to a good game. Smithville may have an edge with the size and speed of some of their skill players, but I would give a slight advantage to Livingston on the line and the linebackers. It may come down to who has the toughness, both mental and physical to play through the pains and ailments that come from a long season. I am picking Livingston in a close one. GO BIG BLUE!
  3. That week off is also my biggest concern for the Cats. Those boys have played together for years, but nothing replaces recent game time experience. Good new for the Hogeye nation, is all their boys are healthy and ready to roll. I am picking the Cats in an upset, it's their time!
  4. I am encouraged! Livingston has some good athletes with decent size and experience. The first real test will come at Smith County in about a week and a half.
