Its a shame that these girls work so hard and then players that don't deserve the awards get them. It was obvious to everyone that the comittee messed this one up big time. Don't be discouraged Elliott, Menard, Brown, and Smith. You are all very talented basketball players and leaders for your team. Hopefully in regions you will get the recognition you deserve.

I'm not sure who is responsible for choosing the all tournament team, but they did a very poor job. Elliott and Menard definitely deserved this award. Elliott may not have played most of the regular season but this award is based on the TOURNAMENT games. She led her team to a district title. Also, I agree that Dishman from Stone did not deserve the pick over Brown or Smith. No question about that.

Kristen can shoot the ball very well. But when she is in I believe the team suffers on the defensive end. When it comes to why Taylor is on the bench at the end of the game I am clueless. She also is subbed for many times throughout the game. She doesn't appear to be fatigued. Taylor is the most physical player on the team and the only hope they have at getting a rebound. I hope Coach Smith figures that out pretty soon as well as how to motivate the other girls to crash the boards. I also do not believe he is putting the best players on the floor. Stone is a much better team than they have shown the past couple of games. When they all figure out their roles on the team along with some better coaching strategies they will be much more successful. Goodluck to them in their Christmas tournament.

If Stone plays to their potential they will dominate. Stopping Mardessa will be the key to a win.

Loudon plays district rival Stone Memorial Friday night. Stone has shown they have the potential to be a great team if they come ready to play. Interested to see how this one ends up...
