Marty has three state championships.....
Shane has two state championships....
Union City has five state championships.....
Jimmy has one state championship.....
If I'm not mistaken they are the only coaches in the district with any state titles.....

That's my point LC is favored to win. Hey but when u have Sisco coaching u can win on any night. Never take a great coach lightly. The same goes for Whitby two great ones!!

Humboldt is extremely long and athletic and can run & gun with the best! They can put up points in a hurry. Humboldt also plays tough defense & can take the ball away from you and finish at the other end.They are a match up nightmare for most teams.There downside is lack of competition seems like no one in 14A can give them a good game besides LC. & that might hurt them come March.
Thanks for the input i have not had a chance to see Humboldt play this year. Plan to be see them Tuesday when UC comes to Humboldt. U think lack of competition might hurt them it might hurt Manassas to. Thier is not as tough as some might think. Only four teams they play having winning records Carver, Ridgeway and Craigmont. Don't know about the out of state teams. Manassas just might not be as good in Memphis as some think. I am not knocking anyone don't mean to make any one mad. They did lose to ECS school by 24 with 10-5 record. We'll seen come t-time.

You are right they shouldn't lose to anyone in the district. But they better beware and not get the big head. Because remember who UC's coach is one of the best in the state! No matter if he is rebuilding or what he can still get u!

This game should be another good one to come from 14A. If UC played like they did against HBT I don't see them beating LC but from what I hear UC is improving with every game. LC better watch out ! What's the deal with the Greenfield game? why didn't LC smash them.... Rickett must have played well or LC was having a bad night.
Humboldt58 give me your take on Humboldt and what kind of size do they have. I heard they had good size and could go 12 deep.

If LC is not careful they will get out-coached. They have the tallent to beat UC, but if they plan to do it with 5 to 6 players, they'll lose this. UC will keep fresh feet on the court at all times.
I agree but both schools have two of the top coaches in the state. Whitby has over 800 wins and Sisco has won 3 or state titles. It won't get much better than this!!

Your picks sound good but Milan may give MW a fight for the second spot. I'm not knocking MW i watch them play GC last night and they gave them all they could handle. I know scores don't mean much but only a seven point win. GC has got a new head coach and has much improved.

After viewing every team ranked in the 1A AP polls I think the voters should take strength of schedule into consideration. Here are my schedule rankings. This don??™t mean that the teams should be ranked in this order but Manassas, Temple, and LC should get more credit for what they have done!!! Especially TEMPLE!!!!!
Im not debating the order of Rankings I'm saying look at the schedules 1st. Thats not my top 10. Thats my top 10 schedules of all the teams ranked!!!

Manassas Played in Kentucky and St. Louis on back 2 Back Night

Temple has Walker Valley, Franklin, Independence, and Grace

Lake Co got Humboldt Twice and played though teams in ILL.
4.Grace Christian- Tennessee teams on schedule combined record 97-93
Grace Christian got Bearden, Temple, Cleveland, Rockwood
5.Humboldt- Tennessee teams on schedule combined record 68-72
Humboldt only play LC twice.

I agree with u they should look at the sos more. They don't look at the sos enough at any level high school or college. I just hope west tn can be bring back some gold balls! They play no one i have no knock on Manassas or ant body else. I just hope west tn can bring back some gold. It is a long way to go get there will be alot of good basketball to go! Played in a much better tourney!!!! Play milan and gibson 1 game and add 2 good games!!! Dont play non-league teams like milan and gibson and play Liberty Tech or Dyer Co!!! I have no beef with any Memphis schools but everthing goes out the door come tourament time. The only numbers
that count is the final score. I just hope someone from west tn can bring back some gold. Other than UC nobody can seem to get it done. East tn seem to just beat us in basketball and football. Somebody needs to bring some hardware to west tn!! Its a long time till then but no matter who gets to the boro i wish them all the luck in the world!!!

5. Henry Co. (12-2) - only in-state loss was to Dyer Co., 84-81
6. Lake Co. (14-1) - offense has put up 70-plus points in 12 games
7. JCM (9-2) - setbacks to Kirby and Westwood
8. Covington (8-3) - finished runner-up in Graves Co. (KY) Classic
9. North Side (6-2) - two losses to Liberty and JCM
10. Westview (12-4) - finished runner-up in Martin Lions Club tournament
Really think there's not a 5-point difference between my 3-6 teams.
Liberty,Bolivar,Humboldt,Dyer county& Lake county have the talent to go all the way!

if u have seen Humboldt u might know why they are ranked no. 1 Manassas has lost twice.

Well first of all i meant no knock on Manassas! But if a 3-7 records makes Memphis a powerhouse i would hate to see your weakhouses. Craigmont was #5 at the time not now. I read the other day were u upset about the rankings in single a. Humboldt may not play 3-7 3a powerhouses that is why they are ranked #1. Don't knock other teams schedules when u are playing teams with losing records too! Last but not least u have to earn respest meaning no harm u are not Magic Johnson now that is a legend!!
