We will be having open practices in the month of August and early September.We have a great team, just need to add 2-3 girls with 04 birthdays to replace girls that moved up.We will be playing several tourneys in the fall and a full scedule in the spring.We practice at Watauga in Ridgetop/Greenbrier and in Goodlettsville.Come join a very competitive team focused on fundamentals and spreading the word of Christ through softball.Call for more info.

How will it all play out. Dist 9 1. Eagleville 2. Huntland 3. Forrest 4. Cascade. Can any of these teams give Clarksville Academy a hard time. At this point I will take 9A top three teams to win, but could change after seeing all the match-ups.

CA will win the region but you are probably right about 9A top three winning,if Mcewen could somehow pull the upset at home then they would play Cascade and then it would be a split because they would win that,and then the best two teams IMO would play each other in the region quarters with CA matching up against Forrest.

Any radio stations caring the games at McEwen today?

105.1 will after Austin Peay women ,should be about 7:15.It will be a great atmosphere for both championship games with Houston Co. girls and Mcewen boys in the finals.

CSAS lost by nine in the semis to Clarksville last year. CSAS is definately more than 9 points better this year. Clarksville's guard play is MUCH weaker this year.

You obviously don't know much about them,they lost one player who averaged about 10 a game,he was a small forward and a shut down defender.They return both guards and are better at handling pressure but a little weaker on defense with the loss of Heath Dyer but you have no idea what you are talking about.

The new head football coach must be the A.D. That's a way a small school like HC can pay someone enough to entice them to take a job that can't be overly attractive to most applicants. Pay him to be an A.D. give the coach an extra planning period labeled A.D. planning and make it a more attractive package. It's ideas like make the baseball coach the A.D. that has HC where they are now. Football rules all! The End!

Making the football coach the AD worked out great the last three years,a 1-29 record and more felonies than wins.

Not a parent,I live 2 hours away from Erin.Coach Baggett had his day but needed to go,Cox has shown to be overmatched at best.This is about football and the AD,Coach Mccullough would be a great AD and would get the best coach possible to a bad program.I will throw out a name if he would and will do a great job and that is Jeff Tomlinson who has coached at Clarksville and Creekwood and is a local guy.

They have alot of athletes but no tradition and no leadership from the coaches.He also was the AD so after they fire him they should also fire the basketball coach.The baseball coach would be a great AD or maybe even Sam Young,the boys team should not be this bad.

well i guess it didnt bother him too bad he had 23 according to the box scores in the chronicle against montgomery central, and 15 points and 18 rebounds against cheatham county last night..featherstone is looking very well with his driving and scoring and drawing the fouls and monroes passing looks outstanding..and there point guard is quick as lighting!! Kelchner i believe anybody no what grade he is in?

It would have been Bradshaw at Greenbrier but now I would say Brandon Farmer plays for Springfield this year it is him,if not him the next three would be Bedwell and Ray at Heritage and Greer at Greenbrier but basketball is way down in the county.Heritage will be the only one with a winning record.

Houston Co. guard play is terrible,they have good post players but you can't win a big game without good guards.

How is Houston Co this year?

they have a 6'7 kid and a couple of 6'4 kids.

I personnally hope and think that 10a will get both teams left in the state tournament.

And dont know how u can put hc above ncs and mcewen for next year when they both beat them easily this year.

Mcewen loses thier best three players and HC has alot coming back,not real familiar with NCS players but I think they lose several.

I think Heritage will be preseason #2 in the district.I say 1.CA 2.Heritage 3.Houston County 4.Mcewen,so they will have expectations next year and time will tell.

CA wins by 20,and I think Mcewen by 4.Coach Ross is very good preparing his teams for tournament play,but they have to stay out of foul trouble,they have very little depth.

Petrone has a losing record in the district tournament dating back to 03/04,he has one region victory.CA has 5 region wins,Mcewen 2,ER 4,NC 6,HC 0,and JB doesn't have any either.CA and NC have brought their programs up from the very bottom,the only reason Petrone has the respect that he has is his resume,it's definitely not based on results.

I never said he wasn't a good coach,in fact in a previous post I said that he was a good coach.Big games come and Heritage loses,that's a fact.He loses in championship games and region games because his players never have any freedom which leads to playing with no confidence.I can guarentee you I go farther back with coach Petrone than just about anyone else,if you want an example of a coach that gets the most out of his talent and lets the kids play look at coach Ross at Mcewen.

I was at the game and Bradshaw was amazing,I thought the officals were great in a very hard fought game.Jalen Lindsey is the best 8th grader I have ever seen.I also thought Greer was solid tonight.

Heritage never wins big games.The senior PG did not even score last night,I wouldn't be surprised if ER wins tonight.I know Petrone knows the game but in my opinion the kids play too tight for him.They just don't seem to be comfortable shooting the ball,maybe he should be a little more positive,some kids react differently to being yelled at all the time,there is a fine line between having control over your team and letting go enough to instill confidence in your players.

NCS record was inflated from not playing a tough schedule that year,and CA has played a pretty good schedule with that tourney in KY and beating Harding Acad.and also playing Ensworth.Your answer is CA is much better,they went to state last year and will again this year which NCS has not been able to do,no disrespect to your program but without coach Anderson or his grandkids you would still be a bottom dweller.
