Franklin and INDEPENDENCE are in first. Go ahead and take your excellent shooting night against Hillwood!!! Cmon anyone in the district looks good against that bunch. Independence is playing great basketball lately and they will gain sole possession of first place when we drive up 31 to spank the Rebels. Glad to see Young and company can beat one of the worst teams in the state by 30. It's easy to play great defense when there is no doubt you are going to win. Put those mental midgest up against real competition and they fold. Henry can't handle big game situations, Haddix is not a physical body in the paint. The only real players on that team are Young and Miller-McLemore, the rest are SOFT. I told you two weeks ago that Independence was coming to the top of the standings and where are we. We are coming Franklin, you better get ready, maybe you guys may have a fan section or we will come take over the gym. Our young guys are really coming together. I think they are going to be a tough out come february. Carden is providing great leadership throwing in 16. Great job tonight by the guys hitting their free throws down the stretch. Teichmann from Brentwood is the real deal. I would love to see him and Kelly go one on one.

that's our problem at school is people like you, that's why our football team went down the tubes this year. Pettigrew and Company hated Franklin and they didn't care who knew it. No matter the sport, the goal was to beat Franklin. Now we are becoming soft. Sure Franklin didn't lose a regular season game in four years but they always choke when it counts, that is what history will say about this group of seniors. They couldn't get over the hump. BTW be a good fan and know your rivals history. Franklin got trounced in the regional semi-finals last year after blowing the champhionship game in district. Say what you want, but my opinion is the Rebels are overrated.

Its ok I am a high school kid myself. Unlike adults we don't have the sensitive oh if you call me a name I am going to break down and cry. Maybe you and Phillyfan need to stop defending this Franklin team. They are soft, a complete waste of talent. Like everyone said they have the best talent on paper, but the problem is that they are soft. If they can't handled being called on a message borad then they need to pack up their bags and go home. The reason Hillsboro is dangerous is because they have athletes and if they put it together like they did last year at the end of the season watch out. Who cares about past resumes of teams. Yeah Indy's isn't great, but Franklin's is filled with underachievments and no state tourney bids this decade.

Well my Eagles lost tonight, but my statement about Franklin being overrated is starting to look more accurate each day. They have not looked impressive in 2009. Independence will beat them when we make our trip up. Right now I see Hillsboro as the team in the district that can do the most damage. And remember you heard it hear first, Franklin is garbage. Go ahead and move onto baseball, oh yeah you are going to stink at that too.

Thank you, it looks like Brentwood and Indy rank atop everyone's list. Centennial, Ravenwood, and Franklin can be the doormat for us Williamson County teams. I just can't make up my mind who will finish 3rd, I say Overton sneaks in and takes 3rd followed by Centennial, Ravenwood and then Franklin.

Being from Independence this drew my attention because the Fairview Middle coach attended a couple of games this fall at IHS. There were rumors coming around that he would be our new OC next year. I guess that was false. Looks like he has landed a nice job in Fairview. Stinks for the coach going out. I saw the story in the Tennessean and the Fairview principal said he had no idea why the coach would resign. Something seems kind of fishy on the western half of the county. I told everyone Franklin is overrated, this team is about to fizzle. They don't have the mental toughness to compete with the hardnose teams in the district. Wait till the Eagles make the trip over to Franklin and beat you like Brentwood did. No one is scared of you anymore, they see you are soft. Your fan section is pathetic as well. At least teams like Ravenwood support their school, I guess you guys are too busy with all the out of school activity Franklin is famous for.

Franklin is not as good as everyone thinks. They are very beatable. We should of beat them on our home floor. Its ok payback is coming. The guys haven't fully put it together yet, but slowly they will become contenders come tourney time. Looks Franklin looks like somone is getting to big for their britches.

why not us? i mean we have the most talent returning out of all the teams. Brentwood will be the only team on our level in the district. Ravenwood is down, but has a great coach. Franklin is done especially with Coach A and Coach Jones now at Indy. Centennial just doesn't have the arms. So once again why not us? Is there anyone out there?

It's that time of year again and the arms and bats are starting warm up. So what does everyone have coming back this year and what are the predictions. Some big story lines to follow. 1. Can Ravenwood repeat their success of last post-season or will the clock strike 12 on the Raptors? 2. Can Brentwood's big arms return them to the promised land? 3. Can Centennial score enough runs to overcome the lack of arms? 4. How will Franklin respond to the loss of a great coach and senior class? 5. Will Indy finally get over the hump? I haven't kept up with alot of news this offseason but I know Indy is primed to finally stake their claim as top dog in the district. We have a great senior class that is ready to lead the way. I don't think Ravenwood will be as successful as last year after losing IMO the most valuable player to any team in the district last season. Franklin is finally going down this year, as they lost a great coach and have no more Josephs in the stable. Who is the new coach over there anyways? So I think the top 2 teams will be Indy and Brentwood, with both going to the boro this year.
