  1. No shot clock needed, officials can't handle anything else to rule/enforce.  If the TSSAA is going to expend energy and money it should be on improving the ranks of officials.

More officials training, more feedback/review of officials with more pay following positive performance reviews through regular game evaluations.

^^^^^^^^THIS WOULD IMPROVE THE GAME- For players, coaches and fans, not a shot clock.

My freshman and sophomore year we played Memphis carver back to back years, and they had a QB and RB come from at the time 4A powerhouse Memphis melrose. Needless to say it didn’t come out too good in our favor then years. I just don’t see how the schools down there can do this but the schools outside of Memphis can’t do it.

It's Memphis, they play by their own rules.

So is Lake county that good or is TCA not playing very well at this time of the year? I have only seen Lake County once this season and that was their loss to Dresden.

Lake County is very good, not Huntington good but very good. TCA is a pretty small/light team and always struggles defensively against opponents with size. Offensively very elementary which in turn is very predictable for opposing game plans.

It was NOT  guesses. It was a factual statement

My apologies. I should have clarified more and did not mean you were guessing at the outcome but rather  the potential winners to create that scenario weren’t bad guesses for the winners of next weeks games. The least likely of that scenario being TCA winning over LC.

You know, Union City could finish in fourth place.  If I were Fairley and the Tornado's were coming to town, I would be a tad worried. If they can get a handle on their turnover situation, they are most dangerous and formidable.

If TCA beats Lake County, McKenzie beats Gibson County and UC beats Halls, our region would end up     1 Peabody 2 TCA 3 McKenzie, 4 Union City.  In my opinion, this seeding would give Region 7 the best opportunity to sweep Region 8 with the projected matchups. JMO

Pretty good guesses right there, would be nice to sweep R8

This dude is officially full of crap!!! We ALL bluster and talk but this is the same guy that said yall had tons of athletes amd lights out D!!!! Now TCA plays a bad game we play lights out and they are "medicore"  Dude know your post, and change your screen name to BS expert!!!!!

TCA had played good D in the film I watched on the last 3 games. Honestly looked like a different team when I watched the live stream last night.

Thank you for that. I dont think GC will turn the ball over like UC did. Idk what kind of team you play if your turning the ball over like that any team will beat you. If GC goes in there and plays ball and dont turn it over 50x they will win.

I believe the Reb's will handle GC

If we come in with a plan to pound the ball running I don’t think the rain matters and the percentage for rain keeps going down. I know last year after the McKenzie loss Peabody was motivated. I hope it’s the same this year

A plan to run the ball all night against the TCA defense may not provide the results you think they will regardless of weather conditions.

If we contain Davis it will be a long night for TCA.

Haha I think it is laughable that the TCA homers have you guys thinking he is the only real threat..while he is subject to break out, the real damage will come bit by bit in the form of a pounding from #40

I still don’t know what to expect of this game.... too many unknowns for me. What TCA team shows up? Is Peabody going to be focused & ready to play? If it rains, how much will it rain & how much of that effects the teams? My head says Peabody wins this by a few scores but my gut is telling me that if TCA gets a few bounces to go their way, they can easily shock the Tide

    This^^^

I see this game going much like the UC/TCA game for TCA. I honestly believe that TCA will most likely struggle to score offensively against the Tides defense. But TCA's defense will keep the game close enough that if the TCA offense does manage some success it could be a totally different story.

If Peabody comes in and plays ball we win but if Peabody comes in with their head down like we did against gc we could possibly get beat. I hope that doesn’t happen. I think should still be motivated and awake since we lost a game we shouldn’t have lost

I agree, the wildcard in this scenario is the TCA offense. No one including TCA themselves knows what performance to expect.

Peabody SHOULD win this one by two scores but they SHOULD have beaten Gibson County by more than that.

I do see this game being won by two scores just unsure which team will do it.

Peabody has been more consistent throughout the year for sure only having one game that focus was lost.

TCA on the other hand has had little consistency throughout the year on the offensive side of the ball but did appear to have everything in time against their last opponent.. Could  very well be an epic game Friday night?!

  14. This will be one of the most exciting games to be at in the entire state next Friday.

Peabody and TCA both field some very impressive athletes that bring a level of play many HS teams lack. After making the trip to see the Pioneers take on the Lions last night I have a better idea of how good they actually can play. Film just doesn't do justice displaying how intense some of their playmakers are on both sides of the ball.

The matchup between arguably the best offense in R7 -Peabody against arguably the best defense in R7 right now- TCA will be the game to watch on the western side of the Volunteer state Friday night.

I hope Gibson county beats them like a red headed step child.  Maybe even run the score up on them if you can because we all know the mighty tornadoes have been known to do that from time to time.

The tornadoes aren't going to be able to do that this year.
