  1. i wont need any ear plugs, because i can't make the game, i have to work. I'm sure our girls will be up to the challenge. I don't think we'll go in there and get ran out the gym. We have to excute alot better than we did last night if we even want a chance. Last night was just ugly. Good luck to your Lady Warriors.

Is your boss a big basketball fan because I hear "spring fever" is known to be really bad this time of the year in the Cleveland, Tn. area? :) If not, then maybe you will be close to a radio or computer. What do you expect from this team after the loss to WV? Are they healty? Do you guys travel well and support the team on the road? We are riding a emotional high after the district and regional wins. Very happy not having to travel to east tn.. Our girls have fortunately remained healthy thru some dog fights with blackman but it's brought them even closer as a team. With out question playing their best basketball at the right time. Good luck to your team as well, its been fun talking with you. GO LADY WARRIORS!!! "P.P.I., P.P.I."

  2. We don't plan on seeing you guys again, hopefully we both win our region.

Well clevelandblueraiderfan I hate to say "told ya" but looks like we will be seeing you at #802 Warrior Dr. this Sat.. First may your team and fans have a safe drive. We look forward to the opportunity of a little pay back from the loss earlier @ your house. FYI you may want to throw a pair of ear plugs in your travel bag because its gonna be very LOUD. Hey we look forward to a great basketball game between two great schools with tons of tradition! Lets Go Lady Warriors!!! "P.P.I."

  3. We are so proud of you Lady Warriors!!! This team is ONE and it show's every time you ladies hit the court. You will cause the coaching staff in Cleveland to grow grey hair after they view the films tomorrow. You ladies worked your tails off to get a home game Saturday and now the faithful will once again get behind you come game time. This Saturday night *802 Warrior Dr. will be rockin in the gym to P.P.I.... P.P.I... Party People Inc. @ Riverdale High :roflol: GO LADY WARRIORS!!!

  4. With there being about 5 miles of seperation between RHS and BHS maybe TSSAA will make a $$$$ decision and move the Region championship game to a neutral gym in the B'oro. :o I would say since its about 25 miles to Shelbyville and 1/2 tank of gas round trip, if this game were to be played in the B'oro. it would bring a much larger gate here, than in Shelbyville  Only problem is, it makes way to much since and this would offend somebody so it probably will not happen :? I know the faithful will show and be loud no matter how far the travels may go  It's round 8 no 7 or is it 6? I can't keep up its so many. I bet these two teams know the others uniform sizes by now geeeeeeeez', any how lets do this again, again, again, again, again, again, again ect.... GO LADY WARRIORS!!!!

  5. We don't plan on seeing you guys again, hopefully we both win our region.

You just might be on to something here? We will know after Wed. night, thats a fact. It would be really awesome to get yall at #802 Warrior Dr. but, if "push comes to shove" we would be just as honored to play in Cleveland! Give me your thoughts on the 4 teams left from Region 3 and 4.

    Go Lady Warrior!!!

  6. Sure is quite to be tournament time. Reminds me of the calm before the storm. Monday night has got to be one of the most nerve recking and intense of the tournament. If you lose then the season is done but a win gets you a trip to sub state. With this in the back of everyones mind these games will be worth the price of admission (well almost $7.00). IMO with the economy in the dumps and families struggling to make ends connect TSSAA should lower the admission price to $5.00 for adults and and children 8 and under free. Lets face it this is a family sport and there are no high rollers flying in to Nashville like it was a Titans game. Do something to give back to the sport of girls basketball and help out the blue collar working men and women of Tennessee. Uh' gee, do you think it will work? Oh well it was worth a good boy scout try. Hope everyone enjoys the games and most importantly have a safe trip coming and going the distance with travel. God bless!

  7. Is it just me or does it seem a bit REDUNDANT playing the same teams 3 & poss. 4 times a season? I could see maybe a couple times in the reg. season but come on doing it again in post play? How about you guys down at TSSAA come up with a "plan of action" next year to reduce the expenses on travel as well as the chances of playing the same team 3 or 4 times in a season. I'm sure you could come up with something. :roflol:

  8. Shelbyville vs. Blackman. Winner Blackman

    Lavergne vs. Riverdale Winner Riverdale

Another District 7AAA Championship game. Lavergne is probably the most athletic tallest fastest team in the state. Don't be surprised if they win though.

Riverdale knows what LC :flower: found out the hard way last night, LaVergne can beat any body on any given nite! They are a DANGEROUS team and we know if Riverdale fails to bring the A game then we will be washing uniforms :flower: Wed. instead of playing for another gold ball. It's that time of the year. :flower:

  9. I'm sure the games in Region 3AAA will be hard fought. We will be watching close from the B'oro.. The next two games are "must wins" and then it will be time to sit back and watch the heavy weights battle it out. Not to get ahead of our selves but it would be great if we could get a chance to redeam 1 of our 2 loses from the year. I'm gonna say "go Cleveland" and hope to see you real soon my friends!

Go Lady Warriors! District 7AAA Champions!!!

  10. What a fantastic game! Riverdale and blackman fans will be hoping someone can put these teams out before a 4th game between each. Man a barn burner indeed folks. It's a real shame someone has to lose in a game like that but I sure am glad it was blackman! It was great to see coach Max/Hodges get the coach of the year award, after the "crap" she was put thru last year, it was long over due. My high light moment of the tournament was watching a group of ladies celebrate together after a hard fought victory against a very good blackman team. The low for me personally was after we won the championship and the p.a. was calling out individual awards there were a group of adults (wearing orange colors) actually "booing" our players. What a poor demonstration of "sportsmanship" SHAME on you because there were children watching you act like jerks in public. Great job Lady Warriors and fans, we are very proud to be apart of such a fine respectable program!!!

  11. "as nobody expects blackman to beat Riverdale. Riverdale has already beat us twice. So if Riverdale wins, that was what was expected".

Blazeallthewaze, you sound just like the Lou Holtz of high school basketball.lol

After reading your post I began to wonder if the wheels on the bus might fall off! Riverdale fans better get there early,

I get the feeling blackman is hungry :thumb:

  12. I think as you said coming into the Blackman/Lavergne game last night that we had nothing to lose because everyone had us already picked to go down. I think that is definitely the case going into this game against Riverdale. We have nothing to lose again as we are going in as underdogs...

Well if your attempting a sales pitch just let me say "it aint working" these two teams don't like each other and they really don't like to lose in this match up. Saying, "Nothing to lose" meaning both teams move on to the regional tournament but we all know there will be plenty of nerves because, this is Riverdale vs. blackman! Q. When was the last time one of these teams was able to sweep the other?

Referees, as a parent and fan of this great game, I expect you to go out and do the job you are payed to do well. You are paid to call it like you see it! Plain and simple. It's not your job to make sure the foul ratio is even or not and its' not your job to become the center of attention in a heated match up between good ball teams or atheletes. The fans want to see kids play hard but play clean and thats what your there for is to make sure that can happen!!!!!

  13. jazzypha24mom we hear and feel your pain with those referees last night. I was 3 rows behind coach Bush and knew this crew was on a mission when 2 min. into the game they T up a coach (no warning) for telling the ref. to watch the pushing going on. Really no screaming or F bomb just "watch the pushing". I guess it was a "make up call" but Riverdale had a player miss a lay up in the 4th period down by 30+ and looked down at the floor clearly up set with "her self" not once did she look at a referee and got a T for it. Who is to say what is going on with such behavior from the referees but YES it is obvious something needs to change! IMO I really don't see "racist" is to blame, I think after what happened last year between Riverdale and blackman the "political stuff" is more "appropriate". So, who is to blame? All I would say is welcome to "Dramaless District 7 AAA" !!!

  14.

"fast forward to sectional tourney, where Riverdale and Lavergne play Walker Valley and Cleveland.

    Both home teams win"

Now Salty knows something the rest of us don't or this is a prime example of, "getting the cart before the horse". I know Vegas is along ways from Tn. but really what are the odds? Salty have you seen all four of these teams play or did you wake up this a.m. feeling hmmm. "special"? It would be awesome if Riverdale could advance to the final eight in the state but as good as this team has played it will take a valid effort to make your "pie in the sky" prediction become reality. :roflolk:

  15. Congratulations to the Lady Warriors on finishing out the reg. season on top (#1) of 7AAA. Most of all injury free! SENIORS thank you for the example of hard work and dedication you handed down this year. It was contagious for the juniors, soph. and freshmen around you. As the district tournament cranks up lets build off that momentum and press on toward the finish line! Good luck the rest of the season and we LUV YOU GIRLS! Riverdale Lady Warriors #1 in 7AAA!!! :D

  16. IceCold..... I dont believe players like Hunt(lavergne) Petty and Jones(Riverdale) were prepared to play as freshmen because their AAU coaches had to go in and give them something extra that their middle school coaches didnt

Petty and Jones are great players and if you seen them play in middle school then you know they both stood out as above average tallent amoung other players in middle school but if you watched them play in AAU both were able to hold their own even playing up against older girls(hince why they were ready even as freshmen). Middle school was a walk in the park as far as the competition went when compared to AAU. I believe the combination of better coaching with better compitition makes perfect since that you get BETTER BALL PLAYERS.

  17.

U sure....that's SR nite for LV & they are scheduled to play Antioch? The last text my daughter got was the game was still on for 6:30 tonite. I know the Siegel/Columbia game got cancelled. .
