  1. State Dual Predictions Will Be Released by Thursday. http://leagueathletics.com/Page.asp?n=69231&snid=dIFDY6K6%5D&org=tennwrestling.com Corrections were made from last week due to a misinterpretation of the Hixson - East Ridge score and due to the previous East Ridge 39-38 victory over Science Hill. Good luck to all the teams competing this weekend in the State Duals. Early favorites are (if I had to handicap it): D-1: Soddy Daisy (2:1) and Cleveland (2:1), with Wilson Central (10:1) having an outside chance. D-2: Christian Brothers (2:1) and Father Ryan (3:1) D-1 (A-AA): Pigeon Forge (3:2)
  2. Yes..unfortunately I did overlook Lusk from Coffee County, however it is hard to rank him based on no head-to-head with the top-4 but I am fairly confident about the top-2.

  9. Just before Region Dual Finals...a LOT of movement this week with all of the district head-to-heads and teams peeking going into the Region/State Duals. Good luck to all of the teams competing on Thursday-Saturday to represent your Region at the State Duals. http://leagueathletics.com/Page.asp?n=68579&snid=dIJG%5E6K5Z&org=tennwrestling.com
  10. Enjoy. http://leagueathletics.com/Page.asp?n=67989&snid=dIND%5C7L2X&org=tennwrestling.com
  11. Coaches of teams in the Chattanooga area. We have a GA team unable to compete in our H.S. division of duals on Saturday January 19th in Dalton, GA. If any of you have had a cancellation recently and would like to get 4 duals on this Saturday, please let me know ASAP and I can get you into the field. Sincerely, Bryan Knepper (931) 222-7213 coach.knepperATgmail.com
  12. Randall...I sat on the exploratory committee on Girls Wrestling in TN and the reason for the rule was to set up Girls Wrestling as a Sanctioned Sport by the TSSAA. If they were allowed to choose, it would not be sanctioned (that was my understanding at the time...this may have changed). It is a tough situation as there aren't enough girls competing YET to justify a totally separate division, but it was necessary to set up long-term success. I don't necessarily agree with it, but understood the points/implications being made at the time.
  13. Our setup is different from 2011 but I will send you info shortly.
  14. What happened in the Wilson/Dooley match that resulted in the DQ of Dooley? Indy vs. Franklin
  15. Thanks KingGreene for the update...and congrats to Indy...they are finally able to compete as a dual team. What are the district rankings in Region 6 looking like?
  16. D-II rankings have been added as of 1/10/13. Rankings for both Individual and Team will be released on Wednesdays from now until the end of the season so as to give coaches more time to post results, brackets, or correspond with the rankings team. A huge thanks to all of the coaches that already send us results and to Kenneth Hammonds and Garrett House who spend so much time on this effort. Coach Knepper http://leagueathletics.com/Page.asp?n=67201&snid=dHI%40_%3EI%3EV&org=tennwrestling.com
  17. The funny thing about the whole Reagan and Podany argument is that neither of them care where they are ranked and they make good teammates in the off-season.
  18. Why don't we target for Wednesday next week then...and make that the day we report from now on? I am okay with that if it helps reduce research and provides more time for reporting results.
  19. Cody, From all accounts I have heard from those that attended (as I wasn't able to attend...hopefully next year), the tournament was nothing but a success. There is nothing better than having our wrestling heroes interact with the youth of TN/GA in terms of building the sport and Coach Eslinger is an outstanding coach and mentor that we are all lucky to have at UT-C.
  20. There have been rumblings inside the state to try to host something like this...unfortunately it would be difficult unless the Coaching Restrictions are lifted.
  21. Garrett, Yes I agree...my case in point wasn't to single out CBHS...definitely not the biggest offender...so are you saying it would be better to release rankings on a Tuesday so that coaches have time to input results on Monday? I spent an inordinate amount of time last season trying to track scores through newspapers with little to no results. Thanks for the heads up on the Commercial Appeal...my post wasn't supposed to slight you guys but say "if it wasn't for GHouse posting" I wouldn't get results in time for proper rankings.
