Faragut 3 Catholic 0 The irish were absolutely dominated tonight. They played some of the worst soccer I have seen since the girls season. If they can't get Gibson and Bonifini back from injuries they could very easily have a losing record this year. I believe that missing Luke Mishu tonight killed Catholic's only chance of hangin in this one. Hats of to Faragut, they played well and have a very solid team this year.

Ryan Bristol is one of the best keepers in the nation. I watched him shut out Andromeda FC, 2008's reigning national champions. He is also one of the most athletic. I had the pleasure of watching him jump over a car.

He plays a year up for the KFC Liverpool. He is also being recruited by Northwestern and Princeton.

Mark Sherrod is an outstanding forward with one of the best work rates of any player I have ever seen. Having played some club ball with him as well, he is a great teammate. He never comes down on anyone nor is he arrogant. O yea did I mention he will be competing at the D-1 level w/ the Memphis Tigers next year? Yes, Mark Sherrod is the real deal.

Lets face it club ball is where the best of the best. You have kids competing at state, regionals, and nationals, as well as high class tournaments such as the Disney Showcase and CASL Showcase. Also, 99% of the college recruting is done during club soccer. Club players tend to make the biggest impact on high school teams. Take for example the team Catholic had last year (won state). The had Joey Derosa, Zach Wegren, Michael Fisher, Brian Beckham, Tyler Gibson, Luke Mishu, Spencer Payne, Max Herrera, Jamie Trombly Kosta Nassosios, and Hank Holleman. All of these kids played club or had played club until there jr or sr years.
