Did all the teams let every player get a chance to play in every game or did they mainly play their varsity team?

Looks like we got a little sidetracked....forum is about 2010 pitchers. How does your school look in that position?

In the game in question, if you would refer back to your scorebook, Grace was ahead until the coach put on a show and let the ump have it. From then on the game changed, which is exactly what dinger was trying to do! It happens everytime LV gets behind. Hey, I'm not putting the team down at all. As I stated in a earlier post, I think that LV has a strong team. I was only referring to how hard it is to get a win at LV! And you're correct it was a great game!

Ooooohhhh...guess I struck a nerve there "rage".. you must be wound tighter than a $2 watch! I believe the ump was calling a strike a strike and a ball a ball until coach dinger let the ump know that he was not going to let him call the game that way. If coach dinger is that way all the time then I'm sure he will run into an ump that won't allow that, it looked like LV knew how far they could go w/ that ump. Our pitcher was throwing strikes and that is why the LV coach was upset! If I didn't know better because of the way you flipped out on this post that this isn't dinger himself! And by the way, I'm sure that the umpires in this area are appreciative of all of little coach dingers help!

I saw one pitcher from grace last year that threw pretty hard. looked like the ace and was pretty tall is he still there? david brainerd kids went to Ooltewah and East Hamilton You are probably talking about Alec Rose, he should have a great senior year. I think people will be surprised at the improvement over the off season of Grace's other pitchers. They should have a solid team this year. Hated to see David Brainerd close up...they were just really getting competitive!

You must be one of the good ones that doesn't give anyone a reason to have an issue.

There are some on the softball forum calling for the coaches to just meet at the mound and mud wrestle for top seed. Hold that thought 'ft', for fear of doing anymore harm to Grace's baseball team I will refrain from commenting on your so called "advice". After the season I will be back......now go back to a Silverdale (or wherever your allegiance lies today) football forum and talk it up about how this will be the year SD beats Grace in football because Josh Blake will be gone. Until then, keep your advice about this matter to yourself!

Grace has plenty of pitching.....that is one of the points I was trying to make. Why didn't the coach use one of them knowing we had to win that game. Or at least pull him before they scored 7 runs........the boy is young and hasn't seen much pitching time period much less in high school. I still believe that Grace is the better team all around in 5A. Now if the coach's just use some common sense then they might just be able to pull it off and win it all! Yes #7 did start for SD, but he was pulled in the 2nd inning.

Then why would you feel the need to "EXPLAIN" why SBA's baseball team is having a bad year when you are from Grace? Grace's baseball team will do fine in the district if they keep their heads in the game. The coaching matter is still up in the air.....there are a list of times when we are watching and wondering what in the world are they thinking.(yes I have a list) I have set by and tried to explain away all the blunders due to the fact he is new and obviously inexperienced but some of the boys don't have much time to wait for him to learn. The mistakes he has made are not the biggest issue I have, it is when he obviously made a bad call (and I know they all do) but instead of telling the boys, hey guys, I made a bad call it was my fault, he ALWAYS blames the players and they are so confused and upset. It is a wonder they came in 2nd place for the season. If he wants to get these boys to play together and to respect him someone needs to let him know what is going on. No, it will not be forgotten! Don't think I can go through this another year! And oh yeah, I guess I need to ask DB & CB if their top 3 hitters were out too........HMMMMMMMMMM!
