Dyer Co. beat Collierville 7-1 this season with Andrew on the mound.He threw a complete game. i believe Dyersburg lost to them 8-3.

An up and down weekend . But Dyer Co. calmly beat the #2 ranked AAA team in the State,Collierville ,on Saturday . March 20 The score was 7-1. they gave up 5 hits and one unearned run. Now that is something to build on. It was a team effort!!

How good can they be ?

New to the district. Does Brighton have a lot of upper classmen ? Good pitching ?

Dyer Co. is a young team,but talented, District pitchers will be sophomores. Still have Dylan Haycraft to anchor the offense. Need the other seniors to step up.This team can be really good,and Coach Ozment will have them ready to play. They have the talent to win the district.

Dyer Co. does have a JV program, and a very good one. What i think Doubleplay meant was, is there talented young players who could step in right away ,or will it take time to develope the young players to step in !! and i think Dyer Co. will be in district 13AAA

Dyer Co. will reload they will have 4 seniors. Keaton Gregary, Dillon Haycraft, Biscute Bevis, Cody Starks, 4 juniors , Nick Newell,Taylor Erin, Will Harris , and Andrew Jordan. 2 sophomores , Andrew Massey and Colton Harris. All these boys have started at one time or another this season.They also have depth, with Drew Seratt,Logan Wildenburg,Matt Smith, Ethan Mansfield, Logan Pugh waiting in the wings. They need some people to step up in the pitching department. they have Colton Harris and Andrew Massey , 2 kids that will be sophmores next year that will anchor the pitching staff, Kenton Gregary and Andrew Jordan will have to be more consistant.they will still need a couple more arms for non-district games. I think there are a couple of good freshmen coming in. Even though they are going to AAA, i think they can win their District next year. When Colton Harris and Andrew Massey are Juniors, they will be back at the State Tournament. Coach Ozment said at Rotary the other day, "this is the best freshman class i have ever had". Coach Ozment knows how to get the best out of the kids he has!!! This team will keep on winning!!!

If Jackson Southside gets in ,Dyer County will have beaten three teams in the state tournament . Goodpasture twice, Southside once, and Dyersburg . Not bad for a poor West Tennessee team. Dyer Co. is a very good team. And if you take Dyersburg lightly, you will be going to the losers bracket. Great game!! there are great kids on both teams. When Dyer Co. is not playing Dyersburg, i hope Dyersburg wins all of their games. i hope both teams go to the state tourn. And so should everybody else ! Wouldnt it be great if Dyer Co. is state champs and Dyersburg is runner up!!!!

which one of those 3 good pitchers did covington throw this summer in the ripley varsity tournament, when a bunch of 8th graders from Dyer Co. almost beat them ? i think the score was 9-8.

Coach OZMENT works 24/7/365 to make his team successful. last year as 8th graders he had them play JV and Varsity schedule in the summer to have them ready to contribute. i am proud my son plays for him. He will work his butt off to get a kid to the next level. if he leaves , it wont be because he moved up a class.
