He was not referring to Scott’s Hill, Westview won state last year and has the best player in the tourney and return their core. GC has Hart who gives you a chance against anybody.

Great game, the second scoring option was huge for GC coming back. Hart with 33. Cantrell with 21. Loretto got to the rim. Tough team in that gym.

He needed a little more on the offensive end without losing at ton defensively, which is exactly what he got imo. Westview was turning there back when 30 had the ball for the most part.   

That Westview/GC game was a good one last night, lots of questioning on Wilkins coaching decisions but he came out with the freshman on Jada in the 3rd and held Westview to 3 pts the entire qt. GC was a couple big shot away from winning this game. Hart tried to pull a miracle at the end and Jada was great the entire game. Two great teams lets hope they meet again.

Hunt lost 4 times to GC this year and all 4 times they kept her off the glass! That was the difference! Wilkins game planned worked....4 times!

One thing that has remained the same in the 4 match-ups of GC v Hunt is Key not having a big game. Credit to Wilkins and his defense for denying her the ball and boxing her out. Refs were awful both ways last night, very inconsistent.

Brandon & westtnsportsfan - Please don’t knock our little school from Greenfield any more.  We were Class A but still the best team in Tennessee that year of all classifications.  Tess, Chloe & Edie  are showing the world that that team was a once in a lifetime team.   Three Division 1 players on the same team.  Westview didnt want to be embarrassed that year and everyone that knows basketball knows they would have been.  If you can’t say anything positive please move on this thread is not for you.  

I’m not knocking anybody but you, you can’t say you were the best west TN team ever and not expect anybody to argue. They were super good and had players go D1 yes but they also won 1 gold ball! That’s you disrespecting other teams saying that they are the best ever! They were “the best team in Tennessee that year” the year before and didn’t win it correct?

A single A team that won 1 gold ball will be the best west tn team ever?? And you are telling people they don’t know ball??? They would’ve been 4th in the district to that 09 GC/OC/Westview district.

McKenzie definitely outworked GC last night. Mckenzie is a physical ball team too, they will go a long way in single A. Harts girls just ended up being a little too much down the stretch, especially Micah in the 4th. Great game

But Gibson county will be the best all around team we have played so far. Post play is my obvious concern Tuesday and defending Madison will be the toughest tasks for me personally. my rankings so far in single A: 1. McKenzie 2. Clay county 3. Clarkrange  4. Wayne county 5. Gleason 6. Houston County 

GC by 10+ at home, high scoring game imo. Davis will get her points but the Hart girls will be too much to handle.

Two of the better talents to come through West TN and to both play on the same team was fun to watch during there run! Shows you the talent in Single A basketball for them to leave with only one gold ball.  They are both killing it on the big stage.
