  1. I like how YOU THINK!!!! I think one thing thats hurting the disipline is involvement of mommys (ie.BEES ,2210)may be time for weaning /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

My name is Mistye Collette ( CCHS2210 )

Stand by what I say dont hide behind a screen name like some. YOU hollar support but not from a mommy?

  2. you want to be honest "ankles"what do you know about disipline and hard work! LOL!!!!p.s. didn't we have this talk about playing on the computer during class time /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Pondexter or spy or pondexter or spy atleast he doesn't have to protect his idenity with two accounts lol. That's all I have to say about you, your pathetic.

  3. wildcat5- 'Matt Daniel is very capable of running a program, loyalty, dedication, and support invested in Cannon County.

It seems not to be sitting well with some of the posters who have seniors on the team.Long term for our program Daniels would be someone to seriously look at. No one likes to start over with ther kid as a senior ,My son is a senior this year I do not like starting over, but for the future Matt Daniels would be a good fit. Also these kids have already worked with Daniels. He was on the top(2) of the committes list. Had he been considered seriously we would not be here today.

warrior2024- I only would like to add you to the list of Good coaches we have had here. As I have said in previous posts, the kids RESPECTED you as a coach. It seems portrayed on this board that the kids are lazy cant take discipline, or hard work. And I know that this was in your program. A good coach can deliver all these things and still have Respect .Respect do not automatically accompany a position of leadership. They must be earned.???

    Bees3268' -I agree

ankles'-Seems you are in this program contrary to what some people are saying, I dont believe they have the full insight to what has been going on in the program. The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty. It will all work out dont give up.

P_SPY-The great danger of conversion in all ages has been that when the religion of the high mind is offered to the lower mind, the lower mind, feeling its fascination without understanding it, and being incapable of rising to it, drags it down to its level by degrading it.???

Cannoncounty2210, Well i just like how you speak, much love too you for all the hard work and support you put into this program.

  4. Cannon showed me one thing in the game at Upperman earlier this year and I think it is worth noting. They never gave up. Upperman won the game 71-34...or something like that, but Cannon Co. kept coming at them. They did not quit, and if they hit the shots this time they could make it interesting.

Gator i agree with you, the girls from cannon play with tons and tons of passion and are relentless until the final buzzer. I also agree with la and sc score but i think cannon can keep it a close game if we can get ya'lls big girl in foul trouble. Get good shots and limit good shoots to upperman. One more thing, LIONETTES MUST HIT THERE FREE THROWS! That could have an impact on this game. I'm just hoping for a good game. Good luck Lionettes. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Go Lionettes!!!!!

  5. Good luck to Lionettes, I wish you the best and know how hard you girls work. Keep at it and It will pay off sooner or later. I'll be there pulling for you tommorrow, put on a good show for us.

    Go Lionettes!!

  6. Every since you joined coacht you have bashed everyone you didn't agree with. You have been two faced on nearly every topic and degraded the principle at Cannon which you still haven't apologized for. If you can do that then surely wildcat can take some ridicule. How do you know he is the most dedicated fan in Cannon County.

Well said bratt. How is it possible to support the program while constantly hounding it and the people around it? I give you credit for what you and your partner do around the field but It's not helping when you degrade put down people around the program. Oh and Spy i may be wrong but did your boy come home muddy and wet? Just a question.

  7. Wildcat, no offense but what makes you have any idea who is or is not quite ready to be a head coach? you are not a football guy. Matt Daniel is very capable of running a program. He has worked hard, especially the last 2 and a half years, preparing to be a good football coach. He is very football smart, respected, and will run the program the way he sees fit. He would be a great hire in Cannon County if they are able to pull him away from Georgia money. That was the knock last time on Matt, was he ready? There was no intention to hire him the last time. Matt and I didnt always agree and we had our arguments but when it comes to loyalty, dedication, and support there were none better. This is why you do not make the hire. I was also told before coming to Cannon that I wasnt ready to be a head coach. The first job you get, you are never truly ready. You learn from your mistakes and gain a better understanding of how to run a program. The other question is who are you going to get? The program will probably not get an established coach. Pay, location, facilities are all issues in that equation. Not being ugly or hateful just being truthful. Coach Daniel, if he is interested, would be a great fit.

    Finally someone with a fair amount of sense /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  8. Personally I think this would be a mistake....And I say that as I have supported the D-coordinator all along...he did a terrific job with the defensive side of the ball !!!!NO QUESTION. But this would create more division and confusion for the kids...(in my opinion). And for the person who stated someone from Riverdale? Riverdale is not what Riverdale was....The AD FROM CANNON COUNTY (not the controlling Principal) seek out the best of what's left...There have been numerous coaching changes across the state, and even more activity in our region or area.

If the D-coordinator wants to come backas the D-coordinator that's ok, but not as the head man... I would like to see the AD GET MORE INVOLVED WITH THIS POSITION....MAYBE HE TAKES OVER AS THE ACTING HEAD COACH AND FILL THE REMAINING POSITIONS WITH PEOPLE IN THE PROGRAM UNTIL A NEW HEAD COACH IS FOUND!!!!!

OR WVEN BETTER LET HIM COACH US THROUGH THE 2009 SEASON AND LOOK FOR THE REPLACEMENT IN THE SPRING OF 2010...LETTING SOMEONE WITHIN THE PROGRAM TAKE CONTROL NOW IS NOT THE RIGHT MOVE PERIOD.

Spy, please explain why you think this would be a mistake? These kids love that coach, in my opinion it would create comfort and relief from all the pressure put on the kids. So we obviously see this situation competely different, he could come in and suppurt these kids as he always did before Bartsch ran him off. But if you may not know spy, the defensive cordinator is not Certified to be head coach nor is the linemen coach Grizzwold. Larson is certified but not intersted. So the only thing really left is to find someone outside of the program. I know a perfect match in a head coach. Matt Daniels. He has a house down in Woodbury, the kids know him and respect him. There's a job opportunity, makes perfect sense. What do you think spy?

  9. Ok Now my opinion, this wikk probably tick some people off, but why not look into bringing the defensive Coach from last year back if he isn't at another job already. The man has some rings to prove he knows what he is doing. just throwing that out there. but as far as the team itself goes, they have some good players but they will be YOUNG this year either way you go. We lost alot on both sides of the ball last year.

Gridiron, I first want to say that's not a bad idea to bring him back. I spoke with the defensive coach from last year, friday during the day and he has been offered three jobs which he has said he has declinded to all three. He told me personally he didn't take any of these jobs so he could see what happened in cannon county. He loves the kids at Cannon County and are just like his kids. My best bet would be that he'll be on the sidelines for Cannon County next year.

  10. yaa but ours were not freaks of nature!!!!

Yooooo big pun, it's your boy, tell me how you feel about this one. All you smith county fans can you please tell me how it feels to get beat in districs by a bunch of sophomores? Because it felt great having our girls wax that tail end. But freaks of nature pun? Man i think it's past the point of freaks of nature. She's a freaking tree. lol

  11. Well figuring out who trenches is shouldn't be too tough of a challenge. Theres only two choices. Miller or Griswold. And since Coach Berninger was run out of town by the amazing Andrew Bartsch...Miller is no longer around moving on to bigger and better things. Good luck to Griz and the senior class. Maybe ill meet you guys down the road somewhere.

Look who it is, it's my madden buddy. Glad to hear from you lately big guy. But Bigger and better things, huh? How you think your gunna like community? Oh and what's there basketball record?

  12. Gridiron what it takes from a high school student athlete is more than showing up for workouts.... If (as you say) he was there everyday, did he really put in a good effort. A bad apple in the barrel (look in the mirror 88) can do tremendous damage to a team. I don't like everyone I work with day in and day out but i have the common sense to make sure my attitude or opinion doesn't effect to goal of the organization. I keep my mouth shut (like you should) and put in the required effort plus some more. It sounded like Bartsch was finally moving the team in the right direction.... working as a team as they say there is no "I" in team.... He showed me a lot in his first season and sounded like he had a great lifting program in place verses a bunch of your boys laiden with testosterone wanting to see who could out lift each other. Every week of the off season is set in place so you the student atheletes will peak at the right time and be able to perform at your best.... there is a reason for off season work outs and the sooner you tell your buddies to get there heads into the off season program the better the team will be for the next poor coach whom will have to deal with the principal....

AS for the principal, She needs to get a life and get out of the football program that's what the AD's job is for.... Tell her to worry about graduation rates verses the football program and we will all be better off.. and let the real estate guy be the announcer, let the grudges go..... move on you couldn't handle your man what makes you think you can handle football....

Yo A.D.=P.S., let me ask you a question. What do you have against the principal at the high school that is so bad that you have to bring her personal life into this? As, Cannoncounty2010 said our kids are reading these posts. The personal attacks are childish and nasty! You need to stay out of the personal life of others as well as me and others. That's all I have to say about that subject.

  13. I couldn't agree more coach Dodgen has done an excellent job, his team is mostly sophmores and they compete in one of the toughest district's in the state. Cannon has 2 excellent coaches who care alot and have passion for there team and program. Congrats coach Dodgen and good luck against Upperman.

Well said, to add on this coach dodgen is a fine coach. I know him personally and we're very close. He's hard on them girls because he knows sky's the limit. With 2 seniors, 2 juniors, 5 sophomores, and 3 freshmen there future is very bright. They compete at the top already in a difficult region. Can't wait to see the next two years with the sophomores are seniors. With Ruehlen being a dominant post and king and sissom up top, the region will be up for grabs the next two year, and they have 2 solid bench players jordan and payne who can backup ruehlen and king very good. Smith and upperman better watch out. All i really wanna say is good luck to Coach dodgen, i'll see you monday and good luck the lionettes, i'll be there to suppurt ya'll.

  14. Well guys ill tell you what happened. My opinion at least. Ever since Coach B took over there have been small problems thats just escalated. I for one like the guy as an individual, which most people do. But i dont think he was ready to be a varsity head coach. I'm in and out of that weight room every day, and when there is only 5 kids there after school something is wrong. I remember when there was 60 plus workin out everyday prior to him being hired. If the kids dont like you and want to play for you, how are you going to even have a team? As for you p-spy, you say you support CC inside and out? Show it and dont bash on the principal. Especially on her personal life. Thats none of your business or mine. That just shows me what type of character you are.......CLASSLESS!!! And throwin shots at former players like that is uncalled for also. You are one sorry person if thats what you have to do to make yourself feel good, by bashing an 18 year old kid and takin shots at the principal like that. Every thing happens for a reason, whether you or I know ehat it is. Show a little more class and respect.

I agree with you owls1, well said. You might not know who this is but you'll figure it out. Where's big pun at? Oh yeah heard rumors about Matt daniels? Let's hear the word on that.
