This matchup brings back memories of the 2010 AAA soccer state championship contested by the two schools. But in next Friday's gridiron contest, who wins and why? Let's get the discussion rolling.
-
Tough draw for the Commandos of Hendersonville. Home field advantage must play a big role in order for Hatfield and company to pull out this victory.
-
Commandoes were lucky, Kyle doesn't get hurt its a different game. Vandy will see the light and keep him at QB
The Commandos* weren't lucky.. This is one of the better Hendersonville teams I've seen in my years. Hats off to station camp for showing up but it's simply just the Commandos* year this go around.
-
It is astounding how year after year, the campers of Station Camp believe they are the team to beat. A win over the Panthers of Portland is not a signature win (hate to break it to you). With the Commandos of Hendersonville on the plate, it seems as if Station Camps irrelevant season will fade away along with the rest of their hopes to beat Hendersonville. But then again, that didn't even happen when you had one of the greatest players to ever come through Sumner County in the playoffs last year. So I wouldn't expect for it to happen this Friday.

Can't make the game unfortunately... but I'll be supporting my commandos over here in Knoxville
-
Well call me a fool. Not sure who you are, but it's apparent you don't know how difficult it is to get that fifth star. That's not to say Sumner County doesn't have some legitimate D1 talent, just no 5 stars.
Key word is potential buddy.
-
There are no potential 5 stars in 9AAA...
There may not be any 5 stars right now, but you're a fool to say some of these kids don't have the POTENTIAL to hit the mark
-
Are there any other potential 5 star recruits in y'all's underclassmen? I know Hville has some pretty good kids coming up from the back to back undefeated Freshmen teams.
-
warden just gave me a pass-so i'm coming from boone, nc!!!! newcastle-how's ya'lls special teams? can't wait til saturday!!!! MOVE THEM CHAINS!!!!
Can't verify how good our special teams are to be honest, only seen one game out of these boys since I moved from the area.
-
Simply speculation. I'm just saying it would put our district on the map more in the state.
-
Good to here. looks like we'll have 2 of the best traveling fan bases in Tennessee getting together for this one.
-
Excited to see Hurd-Malone usher in a new era of Tennessee football while representing our 9-AAA

Will a lot of you Murville fans brave the weather conditions or would you rather just watch from home? (Since y'all have so many championships and all)
-
Well, 7AAA is the SEC of TN high school football. What about you all? Maybe they are the SEC East & 9AAA is the SEC West? Over here in Blount County we're just going to keep plugging along in a lesser class of teams
Please sir, it's time to stop posting.

I remember Oak Ridge played Hendersonville back in the 80's and they had a guy named Dewayne Dotson who went on to play for the Ole Miss Rebs if I am not mistaken? Guy was a LOAD.
He was a VOL before he transferred to Ole Miss
-
Have maryville and hendersonville ever played each other before?
-
Let's get the chatter started, who wins and why?
-
Commandos win in a close game, though the score was 42-14 Commandos near the end of the 3rd quarter. Congratulations to both teams on fantastic seasons.

This will be a very close game, although I believe dicipline and special teams will win this game for the Commandos. brings me back to the Ridgeway game in 2010 when Ryan Rogers ran a kick back for a touchdown. Ended up being the deciding factor in the game.

1. HHS
2. GHS
3. SCHS
4. BHS
5/6/7 - MJHS, WCHS, LHS in any order
8. Portland
Sumner County is clearly the heart of 9-AAA for years to come
-
Have to go with Hendersonville on this one. Coach Hat has a knack for beating Memphis teams and I fully expect HHS to come out on top. Not to mention it's a home game for HHS and everyone knows what kind of home field advantage they have. Wasn't it the 2010 season that HHS went undefeated at home?
-
As to Beech getting better as season went on. HC played them in thier first game at Beech. Won 37-17. Then Beech went and played Hendersonville in regular season and handidly lost 6-23. Beech then played Clarksville in the playoffs and barely won 34-22 a team HC beat 56-8. And again in the playoffs Beech barely lost to Hendersonville 22-23.
So, against Hendersonville, it looks like HC has a pretty good chance at winning. Add the fact that they will be at home gives them en even better edge.
HC 28
HH 17
you can't compare teams like that.. it is just foolish. Last season, Gallatin lost to Beech 25-33 a team that Hendersonville beat 16-15. Hendersonville lost to Gallatin in the regular season finale 19-22 and turned around to beat Gallatin 34-14 in the first round of the playoffs. You just can't compare games like that because coaches make adjustments to game plans throughout practices'. On any given Friday, a team has an opportunity to win.
-
They will be headed to Henry County for a rematch from last year.
Don't get so ahead of yourself. You have to get through a very good team in Ridgeway first. One game at a time...
Beech will win this game if Hendersonville's players take them for granted. Do not underestimate your greatest foe.. the crosstown boys from Beech will come out with a lot of fight. if hhs keeps their heads cool and play like they played at gallatin, they will get the opportunity to play for a spot in the state championship.i fully expect bruce hatfield to have the black and gold boys mentally and physically prepared for this game, so...

Hendersonville gets the victory over D.C. 4-0
Wilson central defeated clarksville but i was unable to get the score for that game.
Hendersonville vs. Wilson Central for the region championship on thursday night at hendersonvilles field of dreams.
Congrats to both squads for making it this far, maybe we'll have two teams this year representing 9AAA in the state tournament.
Brentwood at Hendersonville
in Class 5A & Class 6A

Haven’t seen a Commando team clicking like this in a while. Mason Baker is the real deal. If he stays locked in, he might be the best QB in Commando history when all is said and done.
That being said, Brentwood just beat a Brentwood Academy team that has a few legit D1 prospects. I expect the game to be close but I think the Commandos are special this year.
