  1. Whitehaven does have a home field on campus....and it is very hostile!!! Just ask Germantown. As for the BBQ, The Commissary in Germantown and The BBQ Shop on Madison Ave. are local favorites. The home field advantage might be the difference in this game. Whitehaven is huge with athletic and fast playmakers. Will be a tough game. Smyrna will not come into Memphis and push this team around. Whitehaven is hungry. They had never made past the quarter finals until last night. They are very well coached. They are on a mission.

  2. 6A:

    Gtown at Whitehaven

Whitehaven is potent on both sides of the ball. The defense is stingy and the O can put a lot of points on the board.

Germantown is clicking right now. And when that option is rolling it is hard to stop. The D has enough athletes to stop the big play.

I'm going with my gut on this one....

    Gtown - 21 Whitehaven - 14

    5A

    Jackson NS at Ridgeway

Jackson NS is 12 - 0 for a reason. They are no pushovers. But they haven't played the schedule Ridgeway has.

Ridgeway may very well be the most talanted team in the state in any division. The are athletic, big, strong, and fast. Who cares about the kicking game. This one won't be close.

    Ridgeway - 32 Jackson NS - 3

    4A

    Kingsbury at Trezevant

Equally matched teams. Close match the first go round. Close match this time too.

    Kingsbury - 18 Trezevant - 13

    D2 - A

    Davidson Academy at St. George's

Could this be the last game Coach Netherland coaches in the State of TN??? I think so....

    Davidson Academy - 21 St. George's - 10

    ECS at Knoxville Webb

Knoxville Webb to much for ECS

    Knoxville Webb - 35 ECS - 14

  3. Great high school baseball game last night. Bartlett - 4 Houston - 5. Houston scored in bottom of 7th to break 4-4 tie. Collierville and Houston both qualifiers out of same district. Any other district in state have two qualifiers??

  4. From Shelby County: Tyler Dailey - LHP/OF & Tucker Tubbs - SS, both from Collierville. Both started as sophs on last year's state tournament team. Both played on the Sunbelt Team, Tubbs selected to the all-tournament team. From Houston High - Craig Caufield - RHP. Justin Klug - SS.

  5. After a team suffers a loss, they should be thrown over into the other half of the bracket to fight their way back to the finals. They shouldn't have to face the team they were defeated by again until the finals. So if the top 2 teams were to meet in the first round, because of the blind draw, they wouldn't meet again until the championship game.

  6. What a heart stopper tonight at Dragon Field. Collierville wins 5 - 4. With Collierville leading 1 - 0, Arlington erupted for 4 runs in the top of the sixth. Collierville answered with 4 of their own in the bottom of the sixth for the winning margin. Great Ball game!!!!!

Bartlett v. Houston got a score???

  7. Thursday Finals at Germantown

Houston - 5 (D. Palo gets the win)

    Germantown - 0

    In game two:

Collierville - 11 (T. Dailey gets the win)

    Germantown - 3

    Houston host Friday

    Collierville is the host Saturday

Do all these games count as district? Or just certain games count towards district records?

  8. look like i told yall in my previous posts.....FARRAGUT is a joke and did not deserve #1 in a national poll!! they just cant cut it!

I wouldn't say Farragut is joke. They are the defending state champions and they haven't received nat'l recognition by being a joke. Tons of talent on the team. Very capable of repeating!

  9. Farragut beat Bearden 11-4 when bearden pitched their ace. Farragut only lost to bearden 4-0 and it was their 8th game in 5 days. THREE of Farragut's four losses have come while they pitched someone who isn't even in the rotation, and all the losses have been in meaningless tournaments.

Farragut lost to collierville, but has a BETTER record against BETTER competition. So with your mindset of how "polls" work, you're telling me if Tennessee's football team would've beat Florida last year, Tennessee would've been ranked #1 with a 5-7 record even though Florida won the NC and had one loss? Ya, that makes sense.

and didn't Farragut run rule your precious Riverdale team TWICE? That's not bad considering Riverdale is 15-3 overall. once again, FUNNY STUFF!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Collierville has not been defeated by anyone ranked. They even run-ruled the #1 ranked team in D2 this past Saturday. And Farragut has been beaten by how many ranked teams?
