Congratulations to Coach Brown and Laken on the Miss Basketball win. This makes Coach Brown, the proud coach of at least 3 Miss Basketball wins. Lets remember that Miss Leonard is a teenager, I am CERTAIN, that whatever comment that she was quoted on by the newspaper or other souces, if they sounded rude or disrespectful, that was NOT her intent. REMEMBER, she is a high school girl, not a professional PR personality. Give her a break. And Yes, regardless of what was printed in the paper. The Lady Devils had several experienced, strong, talented players. Talicia Bowman is probably the most ATHLETIC girl around. (like it or not, its true). Taylor Adkins, another senior, while maybe had not played in the Boro before, has as strong of a back-ground as anybody on the team, including anyone who might have appeared in the Boro once. (get real). Don't foget Jessica Garland, she will eat you alive next year! Could have this year, (if allowed). Then add in our lightening little Freshmen Caroline, and well over 6 ft. Post Victoria. YELL WE'RE GOOD. YOU JUST CAN'T win em' all! Yes, Coach Brown that was a little pun, that only you caught. Just can't help but tease you a little. Signing off until next year.

As Good as Coach Brown is, No body, Anybody, Any Place, wins the Championship Every Time. 2. J.C. only loses 2 players to graduation, Thanks for a job well done Taylor and Talicia. 3. They have an upcoming 8th grade class to add-on with, The Lady Blue Devils are still sitting Pretty. 4. The Jackson County Fan support at this game, was less than desired. We can't complain about Pickett County cheering, even tho- there was a lot of Montery and RBS, un-necessary chanting. But at least they were chanting. J.C. fans seem so sure of a victory, they were eating pop-corn, looking at their watches, gossiping...and didn't know that they had lost, until THEY HAD LOST AND WERE ALERTED BY THE WILD CHEERING OF PICKETT COUNTY. 5. A post-scrip to Coach Brown, love ya, but I have to say, according to the March 5, edition of the Herald citizen, Defense wins Championships. Clarkrange held Pickett to 22% or so in the region final. It might not have helped at all. But I do wish that you have taken my little tip a little more seriously. 6. Congrats Pickett Co. You played a terrific game. 7.
