  1. I watched all the games Saturday and have watched basketball and scouted teams for several years. I definitely think CR could have beaten Livingston or Gibson Co., at least on Saturday. I do not think either team played that well during the final game until the last three minutes where LA blew up and GC made every right move. After watching the AAA game, I think either of those teams would have dominated CR or GC. Too much size and speed, and too deep in every position. It would be very interesting to watch though. Congrats too all the winners!
  2. I think the individual awards are directly related to team accomplishments. I don't think a player from team X who averages 30.2 points per game and 10 rebounds for a team going 4-21 on the season will win Miss Basketball. But a player from team Y who averages 21.2 points and 7 rebounds per game and the team goes 33-2 and wins the state can and will win Miss Basketball. That being said East TN teams have to start winning to get these players recognized. I am not saying Mid TN voting does not affect this, I have no idea, but winning seems to cure about everything!
  3. Will there be any replays of the championship games on TV? if so, does anyone have a schedule?
  4. Another reason CR doesn't have a finalist is because the starters rarely play past halftime because of the score and no one averages 20+ like the other girls. The haven't had many close games, so the starters sit a lot.
  5. If I am not mistaken this is the exact same team that finished state runner-up last year without Heady? So I think they could have done alright! With Heady though, their in a class of their own!
  6. quote]Why does ever one think clarkrange is unbeatable?[/ probably because they are 37-0 thats unbeatable so far!
  7. 56-39 final! CR wins! #24 had 7 points, #40 had 14 points for Forrest
  8. 35-25 CR pulling away hopefully.... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. looks like its going to be a high scoring game!
  10. Great game for both teams, what hurt PC was Gibson had an off shooting game, Garner was in foul trouble, and no one could stop Faulkner.... good luck
  11. looks like foul trouble may cost PC big time with Garner on the bench. Madison is making a come back!
  12. I am listening live and I think both teams are playing sloppy, whether that has to do with big game jitters, early games, or whatever, I am not sure. At least its a good close game so far.
  13. I got everything working fine, you have to register this year for an account name. under the webcast icon
  14. I agree with your post, Leonard is a great player, but in the BIG games this year, she was not even the best player on her team. IMO, the point guard played better in the big games during the regular season and most definitely in the post season. What Leonard did in past years should not affect this year, and Christopher, IMO, is the winner. Like I said in the above post, Leonard will surely win next year barring something odd happening as her body of work will be too much for most players to overcome. I do not think the body of work should be a deciding factor, but such is the nature of the beast. All players who make it as a finalist should consider this a great honor, as very few can say they were a finalist, even fewer a multiple finalist. Good luck to all the girls, whether its D1 or D1A!
  15. I vote for Christopher also, and if you seen both her and Leonard play this year (which I have several times) , especially in big games, and think Leonard is better, something is wrong. I predict Laken to win it next year because she will be a three time finalist and that is the nature of the beast, but Christopher deserves it this year.
