Dresden has about 20 less students enrolled at their school than Halls. Greenfield has exactly just 50% of the enrollment, 1/2 for those of you mathematically challenged. Lake County has 141 less enrolled than Halls so about 60% of the enrollment at Halls. If this staff took over a poorly run program then why did Halls beat Greenfield pretty good last year but lost pretty bad this year when it is well known that graduation did not hit Halls very hard?
I will tell you a few things about Halls, so everyone on this board is informed.
1. Last years seniors had more impact on the team than I think everyone realized. We lost most of our skill guys. Which you can see why they are struggling scoring and defense.
2. Everyone saying it is easy coaching and anyone can come in here and win games. It's not that easy. Yes, we have more students than most in this region, but we struggle getting students to get involved in sports due to many issues. (Parents not being involved, poverty, laziness, etc.) These coaches are working I promise you that.
3. They had a successful season last season but those seniors were great leaders.
4. You all don't understand the situation until you are in it. That's all I will say. No making excuses but others have more to work with that than what this coaching staff has. Give them a year or two and I think they will be ok.

A little bit of both. Threw a lot of bubble screens and slants. Speed on the outside is very good. QB has a lively arm though. Could throw the ball 40+ yards on a dime. He was doing it in warmups.
As far as Halls gameplan, we tried throwing a little more and hit a few big plays down field but could not produce any points.

I went to the game last night and just letting you know MASE will be a problem for Trenton and Lake Co. The speed alone was night was different from anything I have seen this year. I watched Halls play both Trenton and Lake Co and I think MASE will will expose both teams just with the athleticism.
Now I'm not saying that MASE will beat them but man it will be a game to watch. Being a Halls fan, I'm just telling you have I have observed. Halls gave up against Peabody but they tried last night and just could not do anything with MASE. They are a problem

I have been pleasantly surprised by halls defense. That is what has helped them this year. They have some athletes this year and that always helps. Our QB is an athlete. Can make things happen when the play breaks down.
I was surprised to see the score of WC and SF being so high. I think it will be an interesting game for sure. I don't think Halls has had this much success in the last 5-6 years.

Heard he is going back to Bolivar but just to teach. I have heard there is some issues with that they were told when they took the job at JCM.

I just heard that head coach Sharia Armour is leaving to go to Dyer county and her daughter is going with her. I wondering who will take her spot?

Yeah I'm interested to see if Gibson County's press will put Humboldt in a hole early. Humboldt guards struggle with beating Peabody's press Friday night. The two posts for Humboldt are pretty unstoppable if they get it inside though. It will be fun to watch.

I guess I was wrong. Overtime win by Humboldt. Exciting but sloppy game as well.

Halls played them decent in the first half Tuesday night. 18-15 at half got #55 tired and double teamed her the whole half. I think she managed 4 or 6 points that first half. The second half Halls just got tired and Humboldt capitalized winning the game by about 30.
The guards didn't do much and that is what hurts them. If they can knock down some shots then it may be a different story. I just don't see them beating Peabody with their athleticism.

My biggest question about Gibson is their scoring. How did they only score 7 against a below average Obion County team. I understand 7 points againts Westview though. If Halls can get the O line to win in the trenches I see if coming out in their favor. Halls still makes mental mistakes that hurt them but they are better this year by far. I think it will be a close game.

I would have to say Gibson County in West Tennessee single A wise.

South Gibson beat Halls last night by about 40. Halls is terrible and I mean they won't win a game this year bad, but I was expecting SG to beat them worse then that. SG didn't shoot the ball all that well and the big boy still plays pretty weak. Maybe it was an off night. I don't know what you ranked them in the district but I don't see them making it past the 1st round or 2nd of regionals if that.

barber can have his games and daniels will out hustle anybody on the court and he's tough. I'm just saying you better watch out for him. Tanner noles, a junior, can also shoot he had a big game last year against union city so watch him too.

you are right but its not just him this year, they have got some younger ones that can shoot too and if tyler can just find the way to pass the ball they could be alright this year considering they don't have much size.

Watch out for central's tyler barber and travis daniel. They are both seniors and can shoot really well and if central wants to win they will have to shoot good.

you are deaf if you think they did not taunt the westview kids... but it doesnt matter i am sure their ###### softball chants will end when they start losing in the tournament
you call that softball chants i think that was far from that and they were never taunting the other players just like justaocfan said they were cheering for their own players. The only reason yall are mad is that westview lost, if they would have won it would have been a different story.

just stop complaining about oc's dugout if you can't handle a little bit of cheering and getting a little excited for their team maybe yall just need to forfeit the game when yall play them again Thursday cause i guarantee their dugout will be doing the same thing.

Well I will say this and we can agree to disagree. In some areas, support for coaching is higher than others. Example, I know a lot of school who get away with certain things because the principals, community members etc. were coaches or played. Thus, things get thrown under the bus or overlooked, rules get stretched, etc. You can say I'm making excuses, but the playing field is definitely not level. The culture at Dresden, Union City, Lake Co. or any other successful 1A school is different than in other areas. People get kids transferring in from middle school or high school. It's a corrupt system and will never be equal.
