Well my chiefs survived letting the leadoff batter reach in the first and second inning, but the forth inning was a disaster to many errors. Price pitched well enough to win, but our defense did exactly what I thought it would do. Thunder -your eagles looked to be a very fundamental and well coached team to me. Both pitchers threw the ball well and your defense looked good in warm ups, cant really say how they looked in the game we didnt hit enough to find out. I feel very confident that seymour will finish in the top 3 of the imac and the chieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeefs in the bottom 3. Stormy - seymours coaching staff has been working on all the little things that you talked about the other night and it shows, you might consider a transfer next year

thunder if the major leagues thought like you did they would cancel spring training, absolutly you better go over the fine details as a reminder. If that wasnt the case why would major league players spend a month each year going over base running, pitchers covering first, bunt coverages and etc. They do it because it is important and yes major league players were taught these fundamentals in little league and travel but they still need to be reminded. Stormy just glad to hear some people like to set goals that take work and hard effort to acheive hope you have opened some eyes and it helps those young ladies at east become a better team.

Blue Lady Suzie - Give me the names of the teams that Cherokee beat without Gilbert last year at the Eastman Tournament and how many of them made the round of 16. Thunder 360 - West actually went 4 and 1 they picked up an extra game and the 5 teams they played had a combined record of 28 and 67 last year, East went 3 and 1 against teams with a combined record of 79 and 51 last year hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Looking for some updates from South Doyle, Morristown East and Morristown West (aka Evil Empire) from the Powell play day yesterday.

Sports Fan 67 - thanks for the info on seymour, I have heard good things about their catcher and watched the freshman pitcher (Lewis?) pitch last summer in travel ball she is very impressive. If she is on the mound they may only need 1 or 2 runs to win. Thunder 360 - cant say that I disagree with you on Jefferson finishing 2nd but I believe Seymour has a better supporting cast and their freshman pitcher has the makings of something special. Wilmoth probably was to old to have been on the world series team with Black but not really sure. Now to the scouting report on Cherokee we are young. Lawson is a very promising freshman pitcher, Price is a sophmore that will pitch some and play 3rd, Taylor will pitch and play 1st, Steele will be our catcher if she can overcome an early injury. Lawson is not going to strike lots of people out, which is fine cause she will probably get alot of ground balls, more balls put in play will put pressure on our defense and I think that will be a weakness. Davis will be solid at short but after that it will be a coin flip. Go Chiefs!

Hey stormy22, I'm glad to see somebody else is getting the softball fever, I was wondering if they had cancelled softball season and I had'nt been told yet. Your prediction of your Hurricanes finishing 1st is pretty bold, considering the fact that you guys lost either 4 or 5 starters to graduation, you better hope your coaching staff steps it up if you think you are going to win the IMAC, let alone go to the state tournament! Afraid the Chiefs are in for along year, there is no way we are finishing any higher than 7th.

Softball season is almost here, cant wait to play all the new teams in the IMAC. Would like to see some predictions from some of my fellow Fastpitch junkies! I have been watching Emilie Hensley play since she was 9 years old, she is an outstanding young lady and ball player. She has to be one of the best catchers in Tennessee, looking forward to watching her this coming year. I heard the other day that her dad was going to be an assistent at East this year!

SHS1, I do not support morristown west at all, so I was not being humble in victory! panther2332 I find your post to be very accurate and intelligent I assume you are a Seymour fan but notice that you are not at all bias and give credit where credit is due! Agree that no one in the IMAC has any game plan that will earn them a victory against the Trojans this year, they are just that good!

Great job Seymour, you also managed to score the least amount of points scored against West this year (26). West won the game by 33 points against that great game plan bballrebounder. Cherokee only lost to West by 32 so I guess they should get a round of applause also.

Pitiful is the best way I can describe the situation surronding this game, but that does not suprise me at all since West High School is involved! Allways wanting something for nothing championships are not meant to be easy, and they sure dont mean as much when they are not earned! I know I know I know "that is what the rules say" will be your reply, those rules would never been brought to anyones attention if the Trojans had been down 1 to 0.
