Great year for both teams, I just think Kat ran out of gas at the end. She pitched a lot of innings this year. I hate it when someone gets on here and starts blaming an umpire, referee, etc. Both coaches are class people and I think I understand where Coach Woods was coming from. Don't deter from the great program Beech has by blaming someone else. They were incredible all year and just had a couple of games when they were not at their best and Riverdale was.
I agree Kat ran out of gas and I said that I didn't take anything away from Riverdales performance. This post was about classless. No official umpire should ever be in the stands making negative comments about one team to their fans and then turn around and be behind the plate. Didn't say anything negative about anyone from either team or fans just the official.

Can't always believe what you read writers always change things around for the story and don't quote people word for word. Only the coach and the reporter really knows what was said. Ask any of the players when they talk to reporters what they said then read what is printed very rarely is it exactly written as stated. If you really want to talk about classless how about an official sitting with and taunting Beech fans during Friday nights game. Then guess who is behind the plate on Saturday the same classless bias umpire that had two totally different strike zones for each team and don't say it wasn't obvious because it was. Even heard Riverdale fans asking him if he was in a hurry to get the game over and go home when he evened up the strike zone in the 6th inning. That doesn't take anything away from Riverdale but in a championship game it should be a consistent and fair strike zone for both teams. They work to hard to get there to have a bias official behind the plate.

If I am not mistaken, Beech was in the middle of a game when Unicio won that game. I doubt they left the Beech game to go so that to you. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
You are right, we were in our seats praying our team would start playing and hitting like they have all year not watching some other teams play, led alone making fun of other parents.

WELL I AM VERY PROUD OF THE LADY DEVILS AND OUR COACHING STAFF. GRADY LINGERFELT COACHED ME IN 7TH GRADE FOOTBALL ALI,S DAD #20 AND WE DID IT ALL UNSCORED ON BY THE WAY .
GOODPASTURE HAD THE BEST TEAM WE HAVE SEEN THIS YEAR WITH THE KENTUCKY TEAM THAT KNOCKED US OUT OF 1ST AT THE AZEALEA TOURNEY. GOOD LUCK TO THE GOODPASTURE GIRLS THEY ARE A HECK OF A TEAM .

Oh, how do you know they were Beech Moms? Did they tell you that personally. I am a Beech Mom and I also heard some Beech Moms saying it would be nice to see someone beat GP this year. It is nice for other girls to experience that in different parts of Tennessee. Just because you have a Beech shirt on doesn't make you a Beech Mom. I will tell you right now our parents and are girls are always respectful. Even to the point in asking some of the younger new fans that came to cheer us on not to say some things. We flat out told them we don't do stuff like that. So I find it hard to believe any of our parent would make fun of anyone for celebrating. Way to go U and enjoy your championship

Please!!!, this thread was started by a Wilson Central fan after Beech beat them for like the 4th time. Not a Beech fan. These were good games, why do people try to tarnish it now??? I think the difference for Beech was only having 1 standout pitcher. They played a lot of games and she pitched almost all of them. Looked like she got tired down the stretch. Glad to see Riverdale get a gold ball in softball, they hit the ball very well and have some very good players. Maybe they are over the "hump" and will return next year. I would count on Beech being back next year as most of the team is back /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
It was an incredible season and you have it right! Believe it as a parent we supported and believed in our team but so many people were saying we were going to win it all. Many of our parents always say it's done on the field not on this site or in the papers. Any team can beat anyone on any given day. Yes, we came up short and our girls made errors and just mental mistakes they haven't been making. Mr. Bat Boy it works both ways, when we beat them and put them in the losers bracket the warrior nation was pretty silent as well. DubC is a Wilson Central parent and has stated that many times so only talk about what you know. What it comes down to is two great teams played and had awesome seasons one came in first the other second. No matter what we are proud of our girls and expect to be there again next year.

Beech has really looked good this year. I have been watching them, for many years, and as a TEAM; they may be the best I have seen. Those girls really like each other, and pretty good tallent to boot.
BUC NATION is so proud of each and everyone of you. We are so lucky to have such a great group of girls representing us. Been around a lot of teams and girls and these girls are special. I have never seen a tighter group of girls on and off the field. This is more than just a team it is a big loving family. There is nothing they wouldn't do for each other. Everyone one wants to do well for themselves but they cheer more for each other. You girls go out there and have the game of your dreams, soak it all in and just have fun like you have done all year.

Everyone played with Heart and it is just a shame that both teams can't continue on. Rossviews pitcher did and a great job. They played a great game and it was exactly the kind of game we expected.

More like two great teams and a great game. Sign of a great team is never giving up and doing what they have to do to get the job done. Every girl on the team knows it may be up to them to make something happen and again tonight they showed they can. A Mother who has spent the the past 6 plus months trying to keep her family life as normal as possible all while trying to save her 3 year old daughters eye and life from cancer. If you is a doctor...I is needin one. This was not a good night for my WC. And, I saw what it looked like was a coach conceding a game long before the game was concluded. I saw buntin down by 5,6 and 7 runs. That ain't no strategy...that is just hopin we don't strike out. And, after da game I heard da worst news. Beech had several starters not there for whatever reason and started young players in their place.
Now, I don't know if dat is true. But if it is...things ain't pretty cuz it was a complete disaster and we wuz dominated in a way I have never seen in tha last 5 years.

So maybe their bench is deeper than Coachcap gave them credit for.
