I feel for you and today's session someone is paying for the morining and then coming back and paying for the night session. A family of 4 is out $64 just to get in the park. Was there a tournament pass offered?

It was a good game. Fans from both schools were cheering for their teams and no one got ugly. I stood between two Forrest fans during the game. We talked about the game and cheered for our school. It should be a great game this morning. Hope the rain holds off( It is raining in Jackson as a write this.) Can't make it back for the game at 5:30-Work. Good luck to all the teams today.

No harm was intended. I too want the talent raised in West Tn. like it is in basketball. I have been following softball since I was 16 in Memphis. That was a long time ago (mid-70's). That orange round ball seems to take over at some point and want let go. So please accept my apology.

You are right, some think this is just something to past the time between basketball seasons. It makes me sad that you think the teams are not worthy of your standards. The only way to get the answer is to watch these young ladies play the game we love to watch and wait and see who goes to the 'boro' and bring home the trophy. Either way these ladies desereve our support because they do play with fire and heart.

Just to let you know that 8 out of 20 teams made it to the state last year. How do you know the competition is not good unless you come down and play. The proof is between the whit lines and not on this site or the paper.

We just had a tournament here in west tn. only 2 teams east of the tn. river came to play and the tournament was posted back in the fall of 2008. If they want us to play in middle or east why don't they come and play in the west?

Brentwood was 2-1 in pool play. They beat Milan in tourney play and then lost to TCA. I will let the sportsplex post the all-tourney team. We had 20 great teams this year. This was up 6 from last year. There were many close games this year. These young ladies played very hard and in my book are winners every time they step on and off the field. Sarah Beth played hard when crossed those white lines but she also knew that it was a game. Faith, family, and friends were more important to her.
