I'm sorry Wheeler is just not head coach material I delt with him sometimes daily on issuses that would be easy for a student to handle,but he could not comprehend any issuses @ all.

I really hope covington well because they have earned it.

Dburg will probably be a little more than the tigers can handle @ this time. The Ripley tigers are on their way up but more than likley a bit more than they can handle. I hope it will be a good game the defense seems to be able to handle some pressure ,but oh maybe it will be a good game.

Well, Ripley has earned my respect after tonight. If ya'll play Milan this year, you might give them all they want and more. The spread offense is a good fit for Ripley and they have the athletes to make the big play happen. They also keep you honest on the ground game with their HUGEEEE FB and their speedy RB's. You have my respect. Ripley could be back to the McAdams days!!!

I believe we will win some games,but we will all have a challenge in this district with Dburg, Milan and Crockett Cty this district has always been a tough one.

With this new Coach he already has proven more to me than the last one by his approach and game plan alone not to mention he is more of a people person than the other one. He thought he was better than everyone.

As for the game, GC ran into a buzz saw for sure! Ripley is ALOT better than the 40-0 butt whooping they took in the jamboree to Brighton and alot better than the game they played at Dyer Co. Ripley is a force to be recogned with and will win alot of games this year. They are quick at every skilled position on the field and have some huge linemen as well as linebackers. GC had alot of injuries tonight. We might've lost 2 KEY players for the season tonight, but we'll have to see. I'm pretty sure both were headed to Jackson General after the game to get checked out. They seemed to be pretty serious injuries and I hope they turn out to just be bruises. Hats off to Ripley tonight! They dominated this game from start to finish. GC never got nothing going tonight, offensively or defensively. Best of luck to the Tigers in the rest of their season. They'll do well.

This guy would be out of his league if he was in single A. Sage is one reason that Covington has had sucess in the past Wheeler could not hold the Jock strap of Coach McAdams. McAdams was a real coach made a few mistakes not many should be a coach at the next level somewhere.

Covington head coach is worst coach covington has had in 25 years a joke should have stayed where ever he was before coming back to west tn he can't coach his way out of a paper sack.

 

Soon every one will realize it. He's not a coach at all. I have to disagree with you on one thing he shouldn't have stayed where he was and never left W. Tn. he was the head coach in Ripley and everyone was happy he left, and you repeated something I said months ago he can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag if it had a hole in it. I never understood and still can't understand why anyone would fire a coach that beat the coach you want to hire and beat other teams that coach couldn't beat. Covingtons AD is probaly regretting this as we report. I hate it for the players the team has talent

he's just a bad coach. Coach wheeler is running the exact plays he ran while coaching at Ripley and every coach that played against him knows what his game plan is before the game start. One last thing this guy never played football himself, he was a baseball player and it shows he not to knowledgeable on football.

okay....all state teams have been announced and quite frankly I am so very confused! How does a kid go 12 for 16 during a state tournament, make remarkable plays in the outfield and NOT make 1st OR 2nd team??? Someone please help me understand this.

 

I understand they go off of stats...........come on.....wonder how many coaches doctor their players stats, heck I know of many DADS that coach their sons in High School....but I don't know of anything else to go off of. I have to agree Newell had the biggest boast for DC to even make to the state when he hit the 2 run homer to tie Ripley in the region. He hit it off of one of the best pitchers in the state edenfield. And from what I seen in the box scores he dominated and DC would have not made it as far as they did unless he had come through when he did.

12 for 16 in the state tourney in 2A is awesome. Some of these guys that made it could not even make some of the teams in 2A in west Tn.

I was glad that DC won the state, that made 2A in west tn and Ripley look better since they beat us twice this year only by one run each game with the region game going into extra innings. And DC would not even had a prayer unless Nick hit that two run homer. You have to agree ! by far the edge DC had.

This is the most bogus thing I ever seen Ryan Seaton from Ripley not even on the list. Best catcher in the state by far.

Reg 7 and 8 have some of the same players from arlington on both, how is that possible?

If this team pitching comes around at the right time they will be the team to beat in 1A. I think that they have one of the best or not the best coach in the state Mike Blackwood.

Ripley beat Halls tonight by a pretty good margin,but I think that they are only a play away from being a top team from a west tn rep in the state tourn.

Has to be better than what we had ,because Wheeler could not coach a pop warner team. NOT HEAD COACH MATERIAL AT ALL. HE WAS A JOKE
