Im sure youre right about dekalb, but what about some sleepers from that district? there might be a couple of surprises this year out of some newcomers. Upperman beat 1 pretty good team(perry co.) and another team that has a decent pitcher(FC Boyd) this weekend in the canon co. classic. they have strung together a few wins and might get a head of steam rolling into the district. What do you think? Im not saying by any means they can compete with the dekalbs or teams of that caliber yet, but they are on the rise.

The only thing I have never understood about the whole situation is this: Why would such a good basketball , softball, and volleyball player transfer away from a school that could potentially contend in all 3 sports in the district. Upperman would have been a good fit and I still haven't figured out why she would have transferred away from there to begin with. She would have rolled into her senior season played for 2 state final four teams in bball, this year as a senior would have contended for a district title in softball with the addition of Olivia Gore, Laykelin Adams, and Kristin Smith to the softball team. There would be no speculation on anything if she would have stayed in Baxter.
