  1. I understand that the Owls have lost some good players to the new Hamilton Sports'>East Hamilton school, and also lost getting some of the upcoming talent that decided to attend the new school. How will this affect the Owls in the next couple of years? East Brainerd, Apison and southside of Ooltewah have always produced some good talent for the Owls and besides the ones that decided to hang on now for now, I bet it will show soon....

  3. Anybody know any of the up and coming players for the Hurricanes...any standouts leaving Ooltewah or coming from any private schools? Any freshmen talent?
  4. And....who and how did he do with the Red Bank team. I guess he could be the starting Varsity QB for the Hurricanes.
  5. Those JV Players gonna be somebodys Varsity this year....I would think that East Hamilton can give Signal Mtn a run for their money. Heard Hurricanes did pretty good in a scrimmage last week against Heritage, actually beat them. Also heard Eagles did a good job in the 7 on 7 scrimmages @ Signal last week. I think this rivalry may grow into one to watch....Hurricanes have worked hard under not so ideal conditions... they are hungry for winning and having a successful season. Gonna be fun.
  6. I hear that East Hamilton may have gotten last years Red Bank JV quarterback....
  7. I think the East Hamilton Hurricanes may surprise some folks this year, kinda like Signal Mtn did in their 1st year. They will have a young team, but they are getting a lot of unused talent from Ooltewah and some of the private schools are feeding talent. It will take them a minit to get organized being victim of TSSAA rules that wouldn't let them get started till summer vacation starts ie no spring practice and the fact the county is so cheap they havent provided any facilities ie a field to play on. They will have a strong offense, the whole line is juniors from Ooltewah HS, some up and coming defensive stars, several QB prospects and I hear they have some good talent and speed in the backfield. Its all a matter of putting it together and they sure have a group of qualified coaches, probably the best group around to do that...they have been working them daily since school got out, strength and conditioning.....we will just have to wait and see. We got a chance to see some of the other local teams in spring games and it will be interesting to hear what the Hurricanes planned lineup will be.... again I think they may be surprising for a young program.
  8. And if rumors hold true, and if they are lucky, the younger players may get to see him at practice. Howmany games did OHS JV play last year....ONE. Kids were practice dummys. Talk is that he is gone after this season. Then what? I think I would rather go where a program is building and play rather than take a chance on the unknown. Again, I think the Hurricane program will develop quicker than most folks think....
  9. Whats anybody hearing about the new East Hamilton school. Is Ooltewah losing their 2nd string QB? Will it be the kid from Red Bank? Or is it someone from the private schools? A true freshman? I hear they had 80 ball players come out so far...and a lot of talent. Anybody heard what they got coming up?
  10. You know, leftovers arent always that bad...sometimes its better. Also it may not be what you guys are losing @ OHS, it might be what you are never gonna get. East Brainerd and the southside of Ooltewah have always fed good athletes to OHS and now you won't see that anymore... enjoy the ones that are staying. I think some of the sophmores that are hanging on are gonna regret it soon. They are giving up the opportunity to play varsity now...rather than wait till they're seniors to play. They could come on over now and be a part of something big...If you see 'em tell 'em its not too late. Practice is serious now, but its not Hurricane season till July !!!
