I dont like that idea. There are too many big in district rivalries that are great to see the last week. Especially if it is a year where those teams might not be making the play-offs. A perfect example is the school that I played for Wartburg was out of the play-off picture going into the final game but played county rival Sunbright who is in the same district in week 10. This was still a huge meaningful game even though we knew it was the last. If we had to go play a team out of district it wouldnt have meant anything at all. Because it wouldnt have been a traditional rival. I like the T plan posted by coach T on his Blog I think it is perfect. We dont have enough football playing schools to crown this many state champions.

Now a look at Wartburg, I didnt include Oneida, OS or the game against you guys just like I did on your schedule. I would say that is a tougher schedule than yours. Everyone on our schedule plays in the TSSAA & Midway is normally a good team so Wartburg didnt try to dodge anyone. Why didnt Sunbright play any Roane Co. schools? Oh cause Stephens is a coward. I know for a fact that Midway begged him to play. So to answer your question as to how we can make our schedule any easier, answer....we could play your schedule!!

The last time you guys talked this much smack was when you were coming off your 10-1 season only to be embarassed by us puppies. By the way heard throught the grapevine that we still have the #1 pass D in the district & the #16 defense in state amongst 2a teams. So pretty sure your offense will struggle tonight. 35-12 Wartburg.

well i have yet to hear from any of the players this week i have ran into them at hardees before when they finish practice but I am out of town working today. I will be there on Thursday watching & we will find out which is better our defense or your offense. Until then shut up. I dont think one bad game would overcome 8 good ones & ruin their stats.

Im glad were not playing tonight I want the weather to be dry so Sunbright wont be able to make excuses. Im sure they will come up with some anyway. WOW its awful quiet Ive seen Tiger fans talkin bout whippin Wartburgs butt on here since summer & its Sunday the week of the game & they havent said one thing are they getting worried since Oneida brought them down to earth?

Well I suppose the Tigers overlooked Oneida last week in preperation of the game this week at Wartburg. I mean it is obvious that sunbright had the better team & the more high powered offense than Oneida. But hey they are cookville bound they didnt have time to worry about the little indians. Ok, I guess its obvious that Sunbright & Wartburg are both coming off thumpings against 2 really good teams. Sunbright fans brag about their offense, it was MIA at Oneida. We at Wartburg brag about our defense, it was MIA against OS. So what will give this week? Let the trash talk begin, that all Sunbright people know how to do anyway, talk & not back it up!!!

Well the defense that I have raved about all year didnt show up last night. I have been singing their praises all year & what happened didnt show up when it mattered most I cant wait to get the paper & see the stats that was ridiculous. The offense which has seen highs & lows this season showed up for a half & then returned to the same ol story of not being able to finish drives. I bailed when the bobcats hit 35. Wake up Dogs 1 game left.

I didnt know about the change until I watched the sports on channel 8 last night. Has this been put out to the public enough, the word needs to be spread so we can creat a home field advantage. It will be nice to play in dry weater, matbe the jenkins & hamby kid will tear it up. I will make a prediction, dry weather = offense 27-21 Wartburg

You are a moron. #10 in the state in 2a football. Alcoa is 3a, South Pitt is 1a, Loudon is 3a, CAK is 3a, Harriman is 1a. Monterey is 1a. Oneida & Trousdale are the only 2a schools on your list. Oneida is ahead of them. Trousdale might be a better team, but defensively the Dawgs are ahead of them so theres you a Not so fast my friend! Know your stuff before you talk smack. The Dawgs defense is #2 in the district behind Oneida. I only know of one daddy that coaches at Wartburg.

Whats going on I guess both coaching staffs have told the kids to stay away from coacht cant blame them. But, where are the fans this is a huge game.

Look it up on the TSSAA site if you dont believe me. Heck they held Jellico to minus yards on the night & Jellico is 2a. We are all single A dummy they break single A into 1a & 2a for play-offs. During regular season we are all the same. You are right though Rockwood & Harriman have awful offenses, that Coalfield offense is so horrible that it scored 33 points on you lil kitty kats. Only won 3 games because the offense hasnt held up their end of the deal on most nights. but they will against your kittys easily. SCW I know what you are saying I was worried about the pass defense after that Stone scrimmage as well & somewhat after the Midway game too, but they obviously fixed that. Thats what a good team with good coaches do they get better as the year goes on. But, you are wrong about OS not throwing the ball, look at their stats with the exception of the Sunbright game they air it out quite a bit. I think the fact they knew they could run all over Sunbright combined with the bad weather made them keep it on the ground.
