  1. Nope good try though. Neither Farragut or Bearden recruits at all. Every player who plays for each team is zoned for that school and have been since before high school.

That is why their is an open transfer policy before they get to high school everybody wants to go there so they can win every year.

  2. Soddy over Central in game 1, I think it was 3-0 with McWilliams throwing a 1-hitter. Soddy looked flat after being off for awhile, but McWilliams kept Central in check.

Red Bank and Ooltewah, once again locked up in classic. Ooltewah was up 5-1 and still batting in the top of the 9th when the rains halted play. Ooltewahleading 1-0 after 6 1/2 walked in the tieing run in the bottom of the 7th. In the bottom of the 8th Red Bank committed cardinal sin #1, the first out was made at 3rd base when Bales was waved to 3rd on a lead off double to right field. The right fielder from Ooltewah made an outstanding throw to the cut-off man for an easy out at 3rd base.

That was a cardinal sin late in the game. They seem to make a lot of those at RB. Does anybody else see the decline in that program or is it just me? From what I have heard and they are banking on a group of 8th graders to be the saviors there next year, I think that is a big mistake they might help some in their new district but against SD, Ooltewah, McCallie etc they will be over matched. They players at RB this year were brow beat so much they lost the enjoyment of playing and that is a shame. I think there will be more hard times next year if things don't change

  3. Funny when people get mad topics get locked. Every school practices in the dead period if you say they don't you are lying to yourself. I know Knoxville has a reputation of having some of the finest baseball instruction facilities and instructors in the state. They are not just "ATTA BOY" places just to get money. I would say in some areas that is what it is about but I don't think that is the case there. Players come to these guys on reputation and from word of mouth around Knoxville. I just think it makes a coach's job easier when the players show up and are fundamentally sound both fielding and hitting. It has to be nice for a coach no matter who it is to put a team out there and know that they "GET IT".

  4. No one is asked to move to Farragut. You are maybe the most ignorant person i've ever seen. So you didn't play in Knoxville, but you know everything about Farragut baseball? You writing a conspiracy book about them?

No conspiracy about them and i think they have a good program. I just don't think that he is all he seems to be. You can get your feeling pinched all you want but look at the posts they don't follow all the rules like they are supposed to. I am not saying that everybody does but those kids work with other baseball instructors to get help and Coach Pharr instead of going along with that gets mad when they go elsewhere. That to me is not a sign of a good coach but an arrogant one.

  5. you're an idiot dude. they don't recruit AT ALL. coach pharr doesn't need to recruit, because Farragut works harder than any team in the state, hands down. why do you think they've been the best program in the state the last ten years? because they actually work hard and want to be the best, and they don't get complacent.

and what the heck are you talking about "fine line from winning and cheating and they are right on the edge"? please give us one example where they cheated, recruited, or bought a state title.

you probably didn't make the team at Farragut and transferred to a D2 school to get some PT and look good facing 78 mph fastballs, huh? how bout you get your facts straight before you get on here and run your mouth about things you know nothing about.

No people move in because they are asked to. You need to get your facts straight I was not cut a Farragut I didn't play in Knoxville but I faced the same competition they did and was a pretty good player until i had arm problems. I just know of some things there that are not on the up and up is all I am saying.

  6. That maybe true about the $350 for the mule mix. I think that when you "RECRUIT" players in high school that is just not right. Coach Pharr is very arrogant when it comes to his players, I heard he benched a player for getting some extra hitting instruction before practice, that is insane. I know that they win and good for them but there is a fine line from winning and cheating and they are right on the edge

  7. Is Tommy Pharr as good as a coach as everybody thinks or has he just been blessed with great talent. I have been watching Farragut baseball for a number of years and they seemed to be well trained and had private individual instruction from an early age. In my opinion that would make coaching much easier. ANY COMMENTS.

  8. I think there is too much off the field problems at Red Bank for them to do anything in the tournament. They have seniors that don't care, coaches getting suspended, and an middle school kid taking up time for the high school players. There is no leadership my pick OOLTEWAH
