Take it from someone who should have moved his son also, there are many schools in the knox area that can get your son the facilities, support, coach and $ for gear and most of all, the exposure that he can't get at alot of struggling programs. Hardin Valley went from a program that didn't exist and after 3 years they have won the 3-AAA tournament and it looks like they will continue to climb. Coach Renegar is an excellent coach and does things the right way. My son plays in this district and I wish that we would have moved for him to play in a few of this districts programs. Good Luck!

Well, I guess that we have already had our first upset of the tournament! Can you believe that Clinton rallied and beat Halls? If anyone has game reports and scores, please post them here. Clinton beat Halls 9-4 Powell beat Campbell Co 15-5 Hardin Valley beat Karns 5-2 Does anyone know how the OR vs AC game turned out?

I wonder just how much safer it has actually made the game????

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Hardin Valley makes some noise in the tournament! Who knows?!?

Has anyone heard who made the team this year? I know that last year, it was never in the News Sentinel. I don't know who if anyone would send them that info, but maybe these boys will get the recognition this year.

Clinton beat Campbell County 13-9 last night. There were alot of errors and many unearned runs. Does anyone else have any news from the district? Thanks for the link HTV, I haven't been getting the Sentinel much lately.

Hope someone is getting to play so far! My son's team has been rained out the first 2 days of the season. If anyone has any scores, please post them here with details of the game if you can. The only one that I have heard is the Powell-AC score from Monday. Does anyone know of any details of that game. It sounds like a pitchers duel was held up on the hill at AC. Also heard that Karns edged Clinton the other night in another low scoring affair. Everyone have a great season and enjoy the ride, it doesn't last long!!

So, composite handles are OK but the comp barrells are illegal, right? But has it been decided about the new stamp approval? Does anyone know of a compiled list of bats that are illegal or legal? Not that I don't trust the manufacturers, but...............

Wonder how long it will take for someone to come out with a list of approved bats for 2011? It's pretty obvious you can't listen to the people who are selling the bats!!

Except for the extreme heat, the annual Smokies showcase turned out very well. It is very well run and the players are able to be evaluated doing multiple things. There was alot of recruiters and scouts there and I feel that they got a pretty good bang for the buck. Does anyone know of any more showcases going on in the near future??
